Heh, horror story? I got one.
I was friends IRL with a girl from my college, and we got to be pretty close. I made her vice-captain of my RP guild set in a fantasy world I've been creating since 2003. Long story short, I broke off the friendship due to her issues with another friend of mine, she was getting ridiculously jealous and stuff. So, she stole my entire guild, and to this day, tracks my posts on Gaia and tries to steal my art and characters. This has been going on for over two years now, and Gaia never has lifted a finger.

I agree Zabre, that's really terrible :-( I'm so sorry that your former friend would do that to you. It's just vindictive and childish if you ask me :-(

It got worse from there, she had involved the police and stuff. I'm not using the account she tracks, in fact, I only check Gaia now to see if I have any new messages. At this point, I can't help it if she wants to steal from me, nobody is going to do anything. So I've come to terms to just let her show off her psychotic-ness, and not let it upset me as much. I don't even check anymore to see if she is stealing from me.

But yeah, it was really terrible. I'm hoping to start up an RP here set in my world later on, though. =3 That will be fun.

Well, I dont have any stories about mods or admins, but I do have one about the debates board. Everyone started ganging up on me for voicing my opinion, and only one side of the issue was presented as "correct" -- and it was the DEBATES BOARD. The whole point of a debate is to discuss conflicting viewpoints, not to pummel someone who doesnt go along with the majority. And yeah, the mods never showed up or told anyone to calm down. What do they do all day? I'd never even encountered one on Gaia, EVER. Either they need fewer members, or more mods.

I've seen many threads like that unfortunately. I've wondered that myself, if Gaia has any mods/admins at all or are they all on a "paid to look the other way" scheme.

That's exactly why I never would go on the debates forum on Gaia. It's just...almost like a troll breeding ground. D=

Foul language, yelling, and rudeness are all rulers in the debate forum. Good luck looking for exiled kings tolerance, civility, manners, and intelligence!
