Bobby's World, Eek the Cat and The Big Comfy Couch.... to name a few I used to watch.
|
Munchichi's ... I don't recall watching it but apparently I watched that and Rainbowbrite all the time. I remember Rainbowbrite.
Also Salute Your Shorts. I loved that show and Pete and Pete. I used to have the whole Pete and Pete series on my computer. That was a good show... way better than whats on now LOL. I watch it now and I still love it. I can't find Salute your Shorts anywhere though. Or Space Cases. Which me and my brothers would stay up to watch every Saturday night :3 Its where I first remember seeing Jewel Staite, (Kaylee from Serenity and Firefly) |
I watched a lot of obscure PBS stuff...Zoom was one of my favorites. Also loved Project G.eeK.eR., Bump in the Night, the Earthworm Jim cartoon ,and something I think was called Adventures of Mad Jack the Pirate. (for some odd reason I can still remember the theme song of that show.)

Wow, this place looks like memory lane... Crazy.... Let's see what I can put together here... I remember bits and pieces of Animaniacs (definitely still remember the theme song), Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, Tiny Toon Adventures, Full House (is actually something I used to watch.), Hey Arnold!, Bill Nye: The Science Guy, Cow and Chicken, Kablam, Johnny Bravo, Animorphs (I only remember small parts from this show), Whose Line Is It Anyway? (wasn't any type of cartoon, but I loved it...), Spcae Ghost Coast to Coast, and Toonami (many of the shows that aired during that time), but my all time favorite show was an anime called Yu Yu Hakusho. Not to mention I liked most of the shows and cartoons that have already been mentioned in this thread... Also, I managed to get my list by looking through a list on a website called RetroJunk.com... a friend of mine showed it to me, there's a lot of stuff there... it's really kindof interesting.

Red Dwarf, British sci-fi comedy. I grew up watching it on PBS with my dad.

When I was but a wee Kifflemonster in my pre-kindergarten years, I loved sitting on the couch in the afternoon and watching Maya the Bee on Nick Jr. Mind you, this was even before Rocko's Modern Life aired. T'was a Japan-made cartoon about a bee named Maya and all her friends going on moral-inducing adventures. I distinctly recall watching it once while indulging on a jar of peanut butter with a spoon. (At least, before my mother found out.)
Other than that, the What A Cartoon! Show was a big one. Pilots aplenty for a lot of shows, including Courage the Cowardly Dog. There's even one that aired that Seth McFarlane created that was no doubt a prehistoric attempt at Family Guy. Heck, it even had the dumb guy who had a talking dog. |
Well.....if we're gonna be obscure....I used to watch Princess Tenko as a kid. Sadly, I don't actually remember much show content. Just that I watched it right after Sailor Moon. My mom taped them on videos while we went to the toy store....but now the Tenko tapes don't work. =/

I'm not sure what classifies "kid" but I remember watching Cybersix every time it was played on the station, repeated or not. I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode at least 5 times. It was only like 15 episodes before they canceled it.
I mainly remember her having a cool jaguar side kick and her pretending to be a guy during the day to keep her identity hidden.. Hmmm 9 year old watching a gender-bender? I donno, but the bad guys where cool haha. |
I almost forgot David the Gnome. ;3; How dare I. I used to love it, and even now I still do. It's just so comforting and calm and adorable. <3
