Left behind the woman nodded to herself as the others left her alone, walking back to the bar. She would lean on the bar in thought, putting a hand under chin. Absently she watched those around her, trying to push away the antsy energy of upcoming night. She wanted to run….but she knew better. She couldn’t do so here…not so close to people… She hoped they could be moving before night fall…

Kris stood there for a moment, he pulled off his belt, his tunic and then the mail tunic he wore under all of that. It would be hard to move in that and so he took it off and set it to the side. He was still in an undershirt that came down far enough to cover what was necessary and leggings.

He stood there his arms bare down, the muscles in them plainly visible, he reached up and stretched before place one ankle on the mannequin's shoulder and leaning forwards to stretch his legs. He stretched and moved almost like a ballet dancer as he got ready for the fight. As girly as it looked he'd been forced to take ballet as part of his training. It kept him flexible and balanced in odd stances.

Aralynn's name was called along with a couple other names. She stood up and started to walk to the area where the fights would be. She figured this meant she was in the first couple of fights. She looked over the guys around her. She didn't see Kris in the group yet. That was good, she didn't want to fight him in the early rounds. The man in charge indicated that she was next. She smiled as she quickly prepared herself.

Stepping into the ring as her name was called, she smiled at the man entering from the other side. He was a stocky man, not to tall, which meant a low level of gravity. Still, she knew how to bring a man like this down. Her opponent circled the ring as she began to do the same. Ary waited for him to make the first move.

((Sorry for not replying sooner. Had a Lan Party at my house this weekend XD My kitchen still hasn't fully recovered...and won't till Tuesday D:))
When the fighting was announced Kris left the training room. He walked over to Priya carrying his sword and the mail tunic he wore under his regular cloth one, "I'm going to leave these with you..since your less likely to make off with them than anyone else" He said patting her shoulder with a smile, "If you like you can go ahead and get yourself set up in the inn... and could you get me a room too?" He pointed to a pouch of money he'd also handed her and smiled "There should be more than enough in there for a room."
He then turned and walked towards the fighting ring and prepared to observe those who won, he knew he'd be coming up in the next few matches. He also knew there wasn't much resting on him to win, which meant that if he just won the first fight he'd be set for the stable fee. But He didn't plan on stopping at the first fight he'd definitely finish it.

Staria 05-17-2010 08:43 PM

Priya nodded as he spoke, smiling a moment as if pleased that he’d trust her so. She couldn’t help but worry as he spoke of staying the night. It would be difficult to hide what she was if he came to her room… She shook herself inwardly, pushing away the thought. It’d be alright… She’d do okay. Or so she tried to tell herself. “Alright… be back in a moment” She said quietly, giving a light nod that was almost a bow. She would then turn setting up the rooms and putting his items in his room, hiding them in it before locking the door. They were hidden well enough that even if one entered his room they’d be unlikely to find it.

She would then come out, his pouch of money still in her hand along with his key, her own hidden in her pocket. She would then lean against the wall, watching him and whatever fights came thoughtfully. She knew she couldn’t stay too long but she would stay as long as she could…She just hoped no blood was spilled…

Lunettes de Soleil 05-18-2010 12:27 PM

The man lunged at aralynn, which she quickly side stepped, but the man was flailing in such a way that she only missed the brunt of his attack. His stray arm that he swung in circles out to the side hit her in the face. She stumbled back, more stunned by his methods than the actual hit. What kind of fighter was this? She got back into her fighting stance and circled with him again. She wanted to let him attack first again to see if the previous attempt was just a fluke. She eyed him carefully, watching for any small twitches that would predict his attack. There is was, he lunged at her again. This time she ducked as she sidestepped. The man missed her completely and his momentum carried him into the side of the fighting ring. She moved behind him and when he pushed away from the side and turned around she punched him in the jaw. He stumbled back into the boards again and she punched him on the other side of his face. She boxed his ears hard enough to make his ears ring, and then threw a few quick punches to his abdomen. The man fell with a great thud on her feet. She kicked him gently to roll him onto his back and off her feet. The man had fallen easily. Either he had been drinking some, or didn't belong in these fights.

Lindylu 05-18-2010 10:15 PM

Kris watched the brawl, watched the man go down. He watched him quizzically, there was no real method to his fighting.
If this was the kind of thing he was going up against he'd have no trouble at all. But then again, that woman.
His eyes now followed Aralynn's moves and then his eyes darted to the man just as she hit him. Just as he'd fallen.
He did indeed dread going up against this woman, she was formidable. But some how judging by her style, by her own expressions this was not the usual affair.

The man was hauled up and out of the ring, he watched him carefully. He watched as hands exchanged coins as the man was stood up and shown the door.

He gripped the walls of the ring a little, that wasn't enough though, for now he couldn't and wouldn't make any assumptions. But his gut told him something fishy was going on here.

Lunettes de Soleil 05-20-2010 02:08 AM

Aralynn stalked out of the ring. That was one of the dumbest fights she had been in. She was made at herself for actually being hit by the guy. She brought her hand up to her cheek and winced. It was a little swollen. She very rarely took much damage from these fights as she was quick enough to dodge the brunt of peoples attacks. But his unconventional fighting has surprised her. She cursed under her breath. Fighters were supposed to be ready for anything, not easily surprised.

Aralynn entered the room where her stuff was and glared at anyone who came close to her. She went to her stuff and checked to make everything was there. Nothing was missing, which was good for the health of the men in this room. She would have drawn blood if anyone provoked her after that fight.

Pacing, she impatiently waited for the next round of fighting. At least she still moved on. There would be more fights this evening.

Lindylu 05-20-2010 03:26 PM

Kris stepped into the ring as he name was called. He looked over his opponent. He was a big man, but not nearly as big as the last man.

The young knight slowly unlaced his tunic and pulled it off laying it over the fence that made up the ring. He was small but it was clear now that he was nothing but muscle.

He didn't wait for the other to move first, he ran at his opponent headlong, fists balled tightly.
The other man braced him self and put one arm up grinning. Clearly he thought this fight would be easy.
Kris had counted on this, his fist connected with the top of the man's hand with a slapping sound.
The man pulled his hand away wincing a little and prepared to swing at Kris with his other hand as he took a few steps back.
"What a girly tri-" The man began as he swung at Kris
With a few simple steps and well placed duck Kris had danced his way past the man's blow and under his arms, so that he was standing just inches away from the other as he dealt a quick blow to the man's windpipe.
This sent the man into a fit and caused him to back up clutching at his throat.

His face was full of rage now.
Kris shrugged and grinned, "Don't leave your self so open when you hit..." He said hopping back a little.

Red faced and still choking the man charged at Kris like an angry bull. He hit the boy in the stomach with his shoulder. But Kris had jumped at some point and just front rolled over the man's back, instead of being slammed against the fencing.

He wasn't without injury though, the brown haired boy clutched at his stomach a little and sighed, "Okay lets finish this quickly... Neither of us wants to be an easy win in the next fight.."

The man laughed as he knelt down and spun quickly kicking Kris's legs out from under him. "Now who left them self open!" The man shouted as he grabbed Kris's shoulder and held him down, lifting one arm high ready to KO the little knight.

Kris just smiled up at him, "You?" He asked before bringing his knee up quickly and nailing him just below the ribs as hard as he could.

The man coughed and brought his hand down for balance as he rolled off holding his stomach a little, he gagged for a moment and then started coughing up blood, "Th-the hell?"

Kris rolled over and pushed him self up, he walked over to the man and placed a foot on his back, "You seem like you won't just surrender...so .." Kris knelt down an dealt the man a swift blow to the back of the head with his elbow as he stood up.

"Some one should take him to a surgeon..." Kris muttered as he walked out of the ring accepting his award.

Lunettes de Soleil 05-20-2010 03:39 PM

Ary had gathered her wits about her enough to realize that she should be watching the other fighters. She had gotten to the ring just in time to see Kris fight. He was a skinny little guy, but well muscled. Still, most of the bigger guys were well muscled also. Kris was a fast mover, which she expected. Graceful too. He got out of some situations with more eloquence than she normally would. He also seemed to enjoy antagonizing the competition, much like her. If Ary ever had to get in the ring with him, it would be one interesting fight. She watched him land his finishing blows to his opponent. She did not want to get in the ring with him.

Blood? The guy was coughing up blood. She couldn't recall doing this from one hit before. She turned her eyes to kris as he exited. He seemed very calm, as if he did this often. She turned her eyes back to the fallen man. Well, he wouldn't be fighting again tonight. At least with Kris in the fights they might finish quicker tonight.

ary pushed away from the wall she had been leaning on and walked back to the back rooms. She wondered what else Kris could do in a fight.

Staria 05-20-2010 07:15 PM

Priya watched the fight, wincing at each blow. As Kris caused the other to cough up blood, however, she paled and tensed from head to toe. The smell of the blood awoke the were hidden deep inside her and now clawing desperately to get out. Closing her eyes she shuddered before turning and looking away. Quickly she walked into the hall and to a window, breathing in the air to try and clear her head. She looked out to the sky trying to see how dark it was…. How close to moonrise

Lindylu 05-20-2010 07:33 PM

Kris found the nearest seat and sat down looking at his stomach, he flexed his fingers a bit and slowly pulled off the gloves. He frowned noticing he's bloodied them a little when he'd hit the man's hand.

He took a deep breath and then curled up shuddering a little as dealt with the pain. He'd learned to ignore it when in the ring at at tourneys. He admitted he had kneed the guy pretty hard but to be fair usually he was used to his opponents being in full armor.

"I'll have to tone it down..." He muttered sitting back up slowly and massaging the muscles on his stomach a little.

Staria 05-20-2010 07:36 PM

((what time of day is it btw?))

Lunettes de Soleil 05-22-2010 07:07 PM

((evening/night I think?))

Aralynn wandered through the halls connecting the back rooms where the fighters were. There was a bit of time till her next fight, and she was so restless lately that there was no chance of her standing still for the wait. She wondered what else there was outside of fighting in Fara that she could do. She wanted out. Everyday was getting worse and worse and she felt more and more constricted. With downtime between fights growing shorter, her body was beginning to punish her for her activities. Her muscles ached everywhere and she knew if she didn't get out soon her body would shut down. She'd never admit it to anyone, it was difficult to admit even to herself, but she was scared to leave. This was all she knew, she wasn't even sure if there was anything outside of this that she could do.

She paused her wandering in the middle of the hall. This was not the mind set to be in before her next fight. If she didn't shake these thoughts soon she would be out of the fights very fast. Leaning against the wall of the hallway she closed her eyes and took some deep breathes. When she opened her eyes she saw Kris through the open doorway in front of her. He looked lost in thought as well, unlike the other fighters who just sort of mill around or taunt each other. A few continue their warm ups, but not Kris. She thought about going to talk to him about his fighting technique, but instead continued to lean against the wall and watch him. He unnerved her since she saw him fight.

Lindylu 05-22-2010 07:48 PM

((Yeah pretty much))
Kris coughed a little as he bent of a basin that had been set up for the fighters to use to wash up near. He shook his head a little as he started to wash his hands slowly, careful to clean up his knuckles and knees a little.

He sighed a bit and looked them over, "Not gonna be fun to punch people now...I should have saved that for a tougher opponent..." He muttered.

He had been serious with the first man, he didn't believe in taunting his opponents he preferred to make them worried about fighting him. But it was hard to be serious and keep the really good moves under wraps.

Staria 05-22-2010 07:49 PM

It was getting dark…. The moon beginning to rise. She felt it before she saw it and she pulled away from the window so the moonlight would be unable to reach her. She shuddered in pain, leaning against the wall and looking in pain as she clutched her stomach. She could feel the hunger…the hunger for meat and moonlight. Her sense of smell was stronger now despite not being transformed and the smell of the many humans and their blood spilled from fighting tormented her.

Priya headed for the stairs, wanting to hide upstairs in her rented room simply to get out of there. She couldn’t go outside now… to much risk of moonlight touching her skin…to much risk of the moon revealing what she was. She whimpered in pain as she began to try to climb the stairs but ultimately simply could set on the bottom stair, shaking from head to toe and looking pale and sick…

((I sent in another character profile.))

Gerard was generally entertained by the fights this tavern held, or at least by the people watching them. It wasn't so much the fighting that interested him as it was the human nature. The way people acted. People fascinated him. And although tonight was an eventful one, the strange behavior of some was just confusing to him. and what surprised him even more was the way the crowd barely reacted. It was a disappointing night for him. He decided it was time for him to call it a night and head to his room for the night. He hopped off the stool he had been standing on in order to see. Being a halfling sometimes had its disadvantages. Everyone seemed like giants from his perspective and nothing outside of his village was his size. But he had grown accustom to being so much smaller than everyone.

Being so small he easily made his way through the thick crowd. Gerard stopped at the bar and exchanged some pleasantries with the bartender before heading to the stairs. When he got there he certainly wasn't expecting to see a girl looking very sick on the bottom step. He rushed over to her and knelt beside her. He checked to see if she was breathing and spoke to her gently. "It's alright, everything will be ok." He stroked her back, which normal strangers did not do. But he was a caring halfling, one who loved people, so this just seemed right to him. "Hold on, I'll bring you some water." He went swiftly back to the Bartender and explained what was wrong, asking him for some water. The Bartender quickly got him a glass which Gerard brought over to the shaking girl. "Here, this may help." He held out the glass to her.

Staria 05-24-2010 09:11 AM

Hearing him come up Priya turned her healthy eye on him. It looked.. Hungry and haunted, as if one who was chased by an angry ghosts she just couldn’t shake….She shivered a little, about to try to reassure she was fine to what looked like a child at first but she realized quickly was a Halfling. She was briefly hushed, however, by the comforting rub and melted a little bit before shaking her head to clear it as he paused and walked away.

She took the water shakily and managed a half smile before turning her eye to the floor. Shame flickered over it’s icy blue surface at his concern, thinking she didn’t deserve it. “I… I’m alright … do not worry…” She attempted to reassure him, adding quietly “You don’t need to worry… I just… pushed myself to far…”It was a lame excuse…. But considering her occupation and how she had to carry such heavy furs by herself it was a logical enough reason….

Lunettes de Soleil 05-24-2010 10:47 PM

Gerard smiled kindly down at the girl on the step. "Well, maybe we should get you to a chair or something. Something More comfortable than the step." He motioned towards the water he had brought her. "It helps more if you drink the water though." He watched the girl closely. She didn't seem alright, it seemed more than just over working. She appeared like she was coming down with a fever. He waited to see if she would be able to move to a seat or if he should just stay and keep her company.

Staria 05-24-2010 11:03 PM

“I…I should probably go to my room and lay down… after I rest a moment…” She whispered the words as he finished speaking, looking up at him a moment. Priya feared for him, the Were in her enjoying the idea of how he was just the perfect size for a meal…. Pushing away the thought she gripped the banister with her free hand and pulled herself to a standing position, drinking more of the water obediently. She shook a little, and she knew she might be sweating a little bit… the scents…were so strong.

Lunettes de Soleil 05-25-2010 02:52 AM

Gerard hated to watch people struggle, and this girl was struggling bad. She could barely stand up. But at least she had some of the water as instructed. Standing a step up from her, he came and stood by her elbow, holding it to try and support her. He knew he wasn't going to be much help considering his height, but he wished he could be of some help. "Well, let me try to help you to your room then. I don't mean to be a bother, I just like to know that people are safe." He paused, thinking a moment of what he could do. "You can use the banister on one side, and my head should be the perfect height to support your other side. I can't think if much else a short guy like I can do."

Staria 05-25-2010 03:08 AM

“I… thank you… I…I’m just a little dizzy…” She whispered, keeping her hand on his shoulder politely as she kept her hand on the banister. She began to head up stairs, trying to resist the urge to grab him. He smelled so good… the fact that he was something different then she’d ever caught scent of before was making it so hard…. She closed her eyes, and swayed a moment before walking again towards the door of her room. She just needed to get there…. As quickly as she could…. Away from the blood. She still had Kris’ key so this could be bad….he could walk in but maybe she could control it if she could just get away from the scent…

Lindylu 05-26-2010 06:10 PM

Kris sat back watching the other fights for some time. He folded his arms over his chest as he watched. He was starting to feel a bit better now that he had washed his hands off.
As he sat there a man walked over to him with a glass filled with some pungent alcoholic beverage.
"Young man..." The man stated softly, reassuringly, "You fought well... Better than most of the fighters here." He said as he took a sip from the glass, "I'd like to ask you why your fighting?"

Kris looked at the man and shrugged, "I just need some extra pocket money is all..." He half lied, he had earned what he'd needed the rest of this was just fun.

"Well then....I'd like to make a deal with you..." He said throwing an arm over Kris's shoulder, "I'll pay you handsomely if you just throw the next fight? Waddaya say?" The man asked smiling, "You'll loose anyway so its better this way right?"

Lunettes de Soleil 05-27-2010 03:34 AM

As Aralynn leaned against the wall she noticed a man approach Kris. He still hadn't noticed her standing there and she was starting to feel a bit creepy just standing there watching him, but now she was intrigued by him being approached. She didn't have time to give it much thought though, as her next round was approaching again. She pushed herself away from the wall and wandered back to where her stuff was kept. She sat on the bench and stretched her legs out in front of her, reaching down to touch her toes. She sat like that for a few seconds, the blood all going towards her head.

"Well, I'll just see you safely to your room then." Gerard liked to think of himself as a Knight in Shining armor. A short one. Maybe in reality it was more like a fairy godmother, considering his size. Although he knew he was larger than a fairy. In any case, he enjoyed being there to help whoever needed his help. It always made his day seem more complete if he had done some good in it. But there was something weird about this girl, he just couldn't figure out what it was.

Staria 05-27-2010 03:37 AM

Priya nodded, still shivering a little from what seemed to be a fever. Once they managed to get her room she leaned heavily on the door. “T…thank you. I’m sorry for troubling you….” The woman said quietly, turning her one healthy eye on him and attempting a smile. She would then step into her room, closing the door with a shaky bow to the Halfling before stumbling to her bed. As she fell into bed she groaned, shaking as the moons energy tortured her.
