Quote:

arancioneNviola (1:15:02 AM): Delilah stood outside The Claymores Demise. The black door was closed against the brick walls surrounding it. As she entered the door gave a small creak. Her eyes looked around at the many wooden tables strewn about as well as the many patrons attending. Not knowing anyone in the area she decided she'd take a seat alone at the black painted bar.

Poisonmushroom15 (1:19:28 AM): Targo was the local errand boy for the Claymores Demise. He was having another slow day as he waited patiently at a table until he noticed an unfamiliar female enter his bar. He tried to summon the courage to talk to the woman but decided to sit there some more

arancioneNviola (1:23:17 AM): Delilah's fingers began to tap on the bar creating a small little drum beat. She was unsure of the place, but it seemed nice enough. Didn't really seem to have any dirty patrons about. There were a few that looked rather haggard, but nothing that a fight or two wouldn't do to a person. Her eyes scanned the opposite side of the bar looking for the bartender on duty, but upon not seeing one she went back to the finger tapping and spying upon the rest of the bar.

Poisonmushroom15 (1:27:14 AM): A scrawny man came from behind the counter obciously in a rush as he carried many parcels that were jammed into his arms. He hastily grabbed a key from his pocket and handed it to Targo on his way out of the bar. He said as he left "keep an eye on the place will ya?" Targo drudged over to the bar where he stared into nothingness again

arancioneNviola (1:30:17 AM): Turning to face the bar properly Delilah looked up on the new figure standing behind it. He seemed to have a very bored look on his face, but she'd heard the wiry fellow tell him to keep an eye on the place. Assuming this was so she figured she could get a drink out of the man and decided to wave for him to come over. "Are you the one serving the liquids about here? For a bar it has been a rather dry experience for me."

Poisonmushroom15 (1:32:42 AM): Targo walked slowly over to the woman, in no hurry despite this being the only newcomer in quite some time. "Wise cracks huh? What will it be?"

arancioneNviola (1:35:15 AM): "Not so much with the wise cracks as a simpleton making an observation of the utmost importance, dear sir." she replied with a smile upon her pink lips. Tapping a finger upon them she sat acting as if she were pondering the decision with great care. She knew what she was getting. She got the same thing no matter where she went. That did not mean she couldn't draw it out; he'd made her wait for a bartender in the first place afterall. "How about...well, no that just wont do. Do you have anything that a lady might like? Something sweet, but not too strong?"

Poisonmushroom15 (1:39:27 AM): Targo began to wonder if maybe this woman was not as simple as she suggested she was. Asking for a suggestion is very personal, and Targo liked to be personal. "Well you can see our selection from here, it is not much. If you care for a closer look I can show you some select bottles."

arancioneNviola (1:43:58 AM): Her small shoulders rose and fell in a shrug as she replied in an almost bored tone, "well, sure. We can go that route if you'd like. Maybe we'll find something I might like." A smile touched her lips again and she looked up to him with her green eyes. From the angle of looking down it'd appear almost catlike the way her eyes twinkled mischievously. She didn't particularly mean any harm at this moment, but she always managed to give people the impression she was looking for trouble.

Poisonmushroom15 (1:47:49 AM): The barkeep would probably get angry with Targo for such blatant abuse of his power and trust of a complete stranger but this tactic worked quite often. He led the woman to the back of the bar to a small cabinet of wine containing a few select red bottles. He pointed them out and waited patiently hoping she would choose correctly.

arancioneNviola (1:51:02 AM): Delilah stood in her full 5'5" glory and moved to the end of the bar so that she may follow him to the back. The smirk on her face was of pure amusement. She loved to see how a man would react in situations and this one seemed to be quite queer in where it was headed. "Just lead the way, dear"

Poisonmushroom15 (1:54:39 AM): It suddenly dawned on Targo that this was not a casual encounter with a local woman he could use and never think about again. This woman was an adventurer something that Targo yearned for. His enormous strength and determined attitude was being wasted. "On second thought, go ahead and sit back at the table, I will bring you a glass of the best stuff we have."

arancioneNviola (1:57:29 AM): "Oh?" Her smile faultered momentarily, but was quickly regained. "All right then, I suppose I could do that." And so she moved back to her seat and sat. Her fingers began their usual rhythm and she sighed softly as her eyes shifted back to the other patrons. The place seemed to be emptying out which caught her as odd. "Might you bring your best whiskey as well, dear?"

Poisonmushroom15 (2:00:37 AM): Dear? What was this woman's angle? Whiskey? Too many questions. He grabbed the requested drinks and returned to the woman. "Do you mind if I join you? Its been a long slow day"

arancioneNviola (2:03:18 AM): "Place I started out in had a lot of close folk. You pick up the terms and they tend to stick with ya throughout life," she responded. As she shifted her gaze back to him she realized he had the drink she'd requested, "As long as I get my drink you may sit with me as long as you please, darling!"

Poisonmushroom15 (2:05:57 AM): He sat down paying close attention to her eyes that changed about often. "And where did you start out exactly?"

arancioneNviola (2:08:59 AM): "Oh, you know. Little old place somewhere past the woods and down the river." Her hand moved to her auburn hair and swiped a bit back revealing a slightly pointed ear, "You know, them sort of folks place." Her lips tightened slightly as she did this, but loosened again once she released her hair. She disliked letting too many humans know of her race as some believe themselves higher. That and she was rather short for an elf. She hated having to hear about that in particular. "And you? have you always been the barmans lackey?"

Poisonmushroom15 (2:13:07 AM): Elf huh? He grew more intrigued by this woman. He tensed up with nervousness, something he was getting better at controlling. Trying to sound confident "Ha, I practically run this place. The old man is always in a hurry doing something. The name is Targo." He reached out his hand for a greeting

arancioneNviola (2:15:38 AM): Delilah caught the tensing of his shoulders, but noticed that it was something he seemed to have some sort of hold over. So he was trying to be respectful, quaint. "Oh? So is my drink on the house, perhaps? Or must I pay since I didn't get to go into the backroom as you originally implied?" at this she let out a small laugh. "Kidding, of course . The name is Delilah." As she said this her hand had already met his for a shake.

Poisonmushroom15 (2:19:36 AM): He joined in a nervous laugh. This was his chance, maybe his only chance to escape this awful life he had found himself in. "The drink is on the house, as long as you provide me with some company"

arancioneNviola (2:22:09 AM): "Relax my darling. You don't want to be giving me the impression that you're scared. I'll devour you if you do!" She laughed again, this time with more confidence. "Company you are receiving, yes? What do you do about here anyways? The town seems so dull in comparison with others. Not a single fight has broken out since Ive been here." Her head tilted to the left slightly as she eyed the bottle of whiskey. Ah, her favorite lover was in a bottle.

Poisonmushroom15 (2:26:46 AM): "please help yourself to some" he said as he pushed the bottle towards her. "I unfortunately do little in this town beyond what you currently, the highlight of my year was a barfight a few months ago I got to break up. I have been seeking a more promising career out in the world." He smiled awkwardly at the woman, hoping she wouldnt notice his increasing nerves

arancioneNviola (2:30:28 AM): She slid her hand to the bottle and delicately encased it in her grasp. She loved making it into a town for this stuff alone. Nothing could warm a gal deeper than a good bottle of whiskey after a long treck through the woods. "That sounds dreadful. You should really get out of the place. You'd need a sword or some sort of magical abilities in order to survive, but they aren't too awfully hard to come by. I'd go insane cooped up in such a boring little hole. No offense." Her eyes only switched back to him when the bottle reached her lips and as she took a few large swallows a large smile flew to her lips. She set the bottle back on the tabletop and laughed, "You have no idea how long it has been since I have managed a good bottle of whiskey. I was travelling with my sisters recently and they're both dreadful little creatures when it comes to allowing me my pleasures."

Poisonmushroom15 (2:34:37 AM): "I can imagine. I have some skill with a blade, local militia man, that is if the town ever actually needed one. Sounds like you are not in town for long, where you headed?." His voice was trembling with nerves, he could not stop. His hands were shaking underneath the table and sweat began to appear.

arancioneNviola (2:38:26 AM): "You should head out sometime then. The wilds aren't terribly dangerous all the time, but there is always something new to be learned or found." She took another quick swig of the bottle and sighed, "No. Not in town long at all. My sis wanted to part ways so she could make it back to the babe and husband and quite frankly I just don't like to travel alone with Lea. She is probably worse than Lexi on her good days. So I'll probably be sneaking off sometime tonight." She noticed the slight tremble in his words. Was he nervous or scared? She considered him for a moment, "you all right, love? You seem to be a bit tense. I'm not making you uncomfortable with all my chattering, ay?"

Poisonmushroom15 (2:42:09 AM): What could he possibly say? better say something fast "O well its not often we get new people in town and especially a pretty woman like yourself." Really Targo? You arent supposed to be hitting on her, she is your ticket out of here. His nerves remained with him, becoming more obvious.

arancioneNviola (2:46:46 AM): At this she laughed, "You think I'm pretty? You should try and catch my sisters. I'm a hag compared to those two." She smirked. She could see what his nerves could be up to now that she'd given it some thought. Did the barmaid wish to play with wolves? "Quit your shaking and ask me what you'd like to ask. What's the worse thing that could occur from such?" At this she pulled a dagger out of the sleeve of her coat and began twirling the tip on the bars counter. Her eyes shifted towards him as her face remained facing down towards the bar and a coy smile played on her lips.

Poisonmushroom15 (2:50:18 AM): He gathered up his courage and decided to calm down and simply talk "I need an escape from this place and I think you can be that escape. I may be a burden but I do have some skill." He waited anxiously, but this time without the obvious shaking and discomfort

arancioneNviola (2:52:04 AM): "There we go. Was that so hard, dear?" She turned to face him on her stool, "Before I answer: Do you have more whiskey? Closed bottles and whatnot in the back room? Also, might you have a problem with the elven? Or those under the consideration of mages or witches or whatever you humans are calling magic users these days?"

Poisonmushroom15 (2:55:16 AM): "I am afraid that we do not carry whiskey save for this bottle. I certianly hope that does not eliminate my chances from joining you. Also I do not have problems with anyone of the sort for I have never met one."

arancioneNviola (2:56:47 AM): "this shall have to do then. I suppose I could use some muscle. Sometimes things do get a bit more than I wish to handle and as long as you don't prove to be too much of an annoyance I can understand you're want for getting away from a place like this."

Poisonmushroom15 (2:59:30 AM): He tried to hide his extreme happiness the best he could, but a big smile was certainly on his face. "I am very greatful for your offer and I am looking forward to leaving. I of course will have to get some things handled before I leave for good."

Poisonmushroom15 (12:10:31 AM): Targo decided to spend one more night in his hometown. He said his goodbyes to anyone who cared, which turned out to be very few people. He barely slept due to sheer excitement. He awoke and gathered the few pieces of gear that he had, featuring his prized greatsword. He practically skipped to the bar to meet his future companion, a wide smile upon his face.

arancioneNviola (12:14:02 AM): Delilah was slumped against the wall outside the bar. She was covered in a long cloak that covered most of her and body. Where the hell is that boy? She wondered as she sat there. Then footsteps began to ring down the street. Lifting her head she looked down to see a gleeful Targo. "When one says they want to be gone of a place I assume they want to just run away with me. You're the first person I've had to wait on."

Poisonmushroom15 (12:17:25 AM): "Sorry. I just needed to wrap some things up." He had to remain gracious to this woman, despite the fact that he wanted to totally throw her arrogance back in her face. "Lets just get going"

arancioneNviola (12:21:02 AM): She decided it best not to answer this time. She was slightly cranky with having slept outside a bar and all. Standing up she turned away from him and began walking towards the bridge that lead to the outskirts of the town.

Poisonmushroom15 (12:23:58 AM): Targo tried to hide his happiness and be content as he followed patiently. He had rarely been outside of town but was pretty familar with this road. He knew this was what he needed to be doing with life. "So where are we headed?"

arancioneNviola (12:28:39 AM): "Where would you like to head? We can go to the next town or we can go into the woods to see if there is anything of interest. We can be bandits. We can be saviors. It is truly up to the road and up to yourself." She sighed. She needed another drink is what she needed, but she'd drank what was left of her bottle the night before. She was also unsure as to why she'd accepted another into her party when she'd just recently gotten rid of her sisters. Didn't she have a job to do?

Poisonmushroom15 (12:32:52 AM): "Well I just assumed you had somewhere to be and I was coming along for the ride. I certainly do not want to hurt anyone innocent. Do you do that often?" He began to question his new adventuring companion

arancioneNviola (12:35:32 AM): "Not always. That is a very situation based ocurrence. I do try to avoid that sort of thing when I can. However, sometimes it is a life or death thing and innocence must be negated for sustenance. That is how the wild works. Also, I never have anywhere to be. I just sort of am. I have things I do for pay and we could do those, I suppose, but I thought you were coming to get away from the mundane jobs?" She noticed the hint of disgust in his voice when she asked and it made her smirk beneath the hood of her cloak. She wondered if he'd ever left the town and been forced to see anything outside of its tranquil existence.

Poisonmushroom15 (12:39:51 AM): "Well aren't you a curious woman? I suppose that the road will lead us somewhere. The local forest has some wildlife that we could hunt, some villagers do it often." Maybe this was not what he had wanted. Who was this woman and was he making the biggest mistake of his life?

arancioneNviola (12:44:16 AM): "Hunt? Have you ever hunted a wyrms cub? We could very well do that. I haven't had a near death experience in a while." At this she laughed. She'd not had to make the choices of where to go and what to do in so long. Stopping suddenly she turned to face him. Her eyes glinted up to meet his beneat the cloaks hood as she said, "Are you sure this is what you want? You don't seem quite as into the idea as you might have the night prior. We're still close enough to the town that you could easily travel back unharmed."

Poisonmushroom15 (12:49:25 AM): He suddenly stopped all other thinking and just looked at this girl. Why didnt he just sleep with her and call it a day? She was pretty and an elf a new experience. No more negativity. "Please just continue, this is what i want."

arancioneNviola (12:54:09 AM): "All right, dearest" A low chuckle came from her form as she began moving ahead of him again. She decided to step off the road into the woods now motioning for him to follow as her feet practically floated over the grass and tree roots.

Poisonmushroom15 (12:57:33 AM): He kept his pace with the elf, even though it was not as graceful as her petite body. She was very fair... Maybe I have a problem he wondered? She is a your partner, your mentor. Stay focused on the task. He drudged on through the forest, following the only thing that mattered anymore.

arancioneNviola (1:00:10 AM): "Lets play a game. There is a river up ahead. I don't know if you can hear it yet, but either way, there is one. If you go straight you'll hit it. I want to run." And with that she set off. Her feet barely touched the edge of a root or ground before it was off in the air again with the other following quickly after.

Poisonmushroom15 (1:02:58 AM): He simply reacted to her chase, he just followed. He poured all his strength into continuing moving, although he grew very tired. He carried much more than his companion and she was beginning to fade out of view. he knew he just had to keep going following her and if not making it to that river.

arancioneNviola (1:06:26 AM): Delilah laughed as she ran. One thing she loved more than whiskey was the wind in her face. Upon reaching the clearing she realized her companion had fallen a little behind. Deciding this was amusing she decided to climb into one of the trees over looking the river before her and waited, crouched behind the leaves for him to come like a lioness waiting for prey.

Poisonmushroom15 (1:09:50 AM): Dammit, he thought. maybe this was her plan all along, to ditch him in the woods. I could be part of some elf sacrifice, this could be the end. A part of him wanted to leave, run back to home where he was safe. However he decided to keep a brisk pace as he headed to the nearby river, ready for anything just in case.

arancioneNviola (1:13:56 AM): As he approached she watched him carefully. He seemed to be hesitating and fighting a little bit with himself. Could he be afraid she'd lured him into some sort of trap? Jumping on him was probably out of the question then, she'd feel bad if she had to kill the poor boy over a joke. "Up here, dear" No later than the words flew from her mouth did she jump into the river.

Poisonmushroom15 (1:17:49 AM): "You are quite mad you know that?" He panted heavily between words, exhausted from this chase. "I''m not as agile as you are, and i have not sprinted like that in quite some time." His pants for air continued" "It probably would not hurt to get to know each other better, just for situations like this." He dropped down of the ground still heavily grasping for air

arancioneNviola (1:23:03 AM): Her cloak was hanging limp about her form as she crawled out of the water. Her eyes studied him for a moment then she smiled, "You're really out of shape." Pausing for only a moment to sigh she continued, "And either way, i am not mad. Running is a tactic you will find is very useful in the woods. As well as traveling lightly. These are both lessons you should not take lightly." She moved to the river and pulled a bowl from somewhere inside her cloak. Swooping some of the contents from the stream she held the bowl out to him, "What would you like to know?"

Poisonmushroom15 (1:30:11 AM): He graciously accepted the drink and hastily drank the cool refreshing water. "I am not out of shape, just never have been good at running. I am somewhat clumsy unfortunately." He made his way back to the river to get another drink. "Also i just brought everything I thought I could need, never have been in the wilds before." Another bowl of water quenched his dry throat. He handed the bowl back to her quite satsified. "And i only want to know what would be beneficial for us to work together, for example with my clumsiness."

arancioneNviola (1:33:37 AM): "I'm agile. I have accute hearing. I grew up in the forests. I'm predominately a magic user, but I have strengths with daggers and other small projectiles as well." She rambled as she put the bowl back into her already drying cloak pockets. Sitting upon one of the larger roots in the area she stretched out her lets and leaned against the trunk of the tree. Her eyes scanned the surrounding area quickly only slowing when they reached the river. Her attention then turned back to him, "You'll need to learn to control that clumsiness. Can get you killed."

Poisonmushroom15 (1:40:05 AM): "I can try to control it, but I am afraid it was something I was born with." He took a seat on a nearby rock that looked comfortable enough, not wanting to be too close to the girl. "Also apparently you are just great in many ways. I know very little about the magic you possess. Any chance of you showing me something?" Preferably something that doesnt kill me, he added to himself

arancioneNviola (1:42:47 AM): "You've seen some of it. My cloak is dry, if you notice. Most things don't try within a few moments of coming out of a river. However, outside of that I really only do so for necessity. If you'd like to collect some firewood I could light us a fire." She tilted her head and smiled. Her hair curved about her shoulder in this position and glinted almost red in the sunlight, "Though, I don't know what we'd be needing a fire for right now unless you were hungry."

Poisonmushroom15 (1:45:59 AM): "Well if any wet bandits come after us then that might come in handy" Damn he was being sarcastic, that totally just slipped out. "Im sorry I will just go grab the firewood." He scuttled off hoping that he was not going to be left alone out here

arancioneNviola (1:48:35 AM): She giggled. Handy? She'd let him gauge how handy it was when they slept on the floor their first rainfall and he had to try and get rest with water pouring into his face while she slept peacefully as if it were the clearest of nights.

Poisonmushroom15 (1:51:34 AM): This axe is nice for chopping this tree huh Deli? could be traveling light left it. arrogant little elf. That was enough though, he can't push away his only friend...companion he has ever had. He finished gathering the wood and venured back to camp.

arancioneNviola (1:55:45 AM): She stood up when she saw him arriving with the wood and frowned. "You cut fresh wood? I'd prefer next time you avoided that if you could. There is plenty of lumber lying on the grounds of the wilds and you shouldn't have to take a life to get us what we'd need." Sighing loudly she pointed to a spot on the ground, "There."

Poisonmushroom15 (1:59:16 AM): Fantastic. The girl who suggested praying on the innocent and stealing is offended by cutting down a tree. "Sorry.... I do not exactly know what I am doing out here" The sad thing was he did not. If we were not for this elf out here he could very easily die. He began to work on the fire trying not to look at her dissapointed face.

arancioneNviola (2:01:48 AM): "It is quite all right. Just...set the wood down. It'll do this time." Moving towards where he was setting up the fire she stared down at the lumber. "If you just set it down I can take care of the rest. You asked to see my magic, I was going to show you. Fire is a necessity."

Poisonmushroom15 (2:05:15 AM): "O please do, I am quite curious" Yep here it comes, kill a tree and you get murdered by a vengeful elf. He backed up to his rock patiently and awaited the show

arancioneNviola (2:07:52 AM): Her eyes remained on the wood. At first it seemed as if nothing was happening, but then a small stream of smoke began to rise from the wood below. Her jade eyes glazed over lightly and what seemed to be a small fire erupted in them. Then the wood below crackled and burst into the flame and she blinked. "Fire," was all she said as she sat down beside it.

Poisonmushroom15 (2:13:32 AM): That was simply amazing. He had never seen anything like it. His face erupted into a very bewildered face. He went to join his companaion at the fire trying to hide his emotions, something he really could not do well. "Very nice" he said as he laid down

arancioneNviola (2:17:02 AM): She smiled softly at him, "It's really not that great, actually. I should be able to set it aflame much more quickly. Fire is not my strong point, though. I am much better with water and the likes. My sister, Leah, she's a little pyro. Tried to show me, but it never would stick. Then Lexi is just sort of a pacifist. I don't even know if she knows HOW to use her talents. I've never seen her try."

Poisonmushroom15 (2:20:29 AM): His smile was one to match hers. "Sounds like you have quite the talented siblings, at least one anyway. It was great, do not act like it was not. The most amazing thing I have ever seen in fact." He realized how late it was getting, and began to get his sleeping arrangement from his bag.

arancioneNviola (2:23:43 AM): "They are quite talented." As much as she enjoyed being away from her sisters she still looked up to them greatly. Being the youngest tended to do that to a person, but she always felt like she needed to achieve what they had and more just to prove she was worthy of having them. Noticing he was getting ready for sleep she lied down herself curling nearby the flames and nuzzling into her arms. "Lexi doesn't really need to be talented, though. She has a voice that attracted a demonic mate and so she's fairly safe."

Poisonmushroom15 (2:26:52 AM): "Demonic?" A definite reminder to still be cautious towards this girl. "Perhaps you can tell me the story another time. More magic of yours that you can sleep comfortably like that?"

arancioneNviola (2:28:46 AM): "Perhaps I shall. It is really her story to tell, though." She noticed the discomfort from him at the news. While amusing her it also made her sort of weary. He really did not know much more than the town he came from. She replied, "Not magic, no. This is more from practice."

Poisonmushroom15 (2:30:58 AM): "Very well then" He tried to get as comfortable as he could sleeping in the wild. "Good night friend"

arancioneNviola (2:31:31 AM): "Goodnight, Targo" closing her eyes she listened to his breathing and then slowly began to drift off into slumber.

actualexander 04-27-2010 04:50 AM

How could he possibly sleep? Laying there for a few hours he finally decided to get up for a little bit. Walking around in the dark was somewhat invigorating, finally free of his boredom and monotony. He continued to wonder around for awhile, just embracing his escape and the nature around him. How happy he was now, sleep would not find him at all this night.

Mnemosyne 04-27-2010 04:53 AM

She heard him rise and begin moving around in the dark. She tried to keep her eyes closed so he could have a chance to experience the freedom of the night for a little longer. However, she was not used to sleeping more than a couple hours a night anyways and it was starting to become trying to pretend to be in slumber still. She figured she'd give him another half hour of playtime before she "woke".

actualexander 04-27-2010 04:57 AM

He continued on wandering, but the immediate area was becoming bland. Maybe he could go for a little adventure before his companion awoke. Maybe he could find a small animal or something for breakfast. He quickly trotted off, eager to have some more excitement.

Mnemosyne 04-27-2010 05:04 AM

She heard him leaving the grounds they had set up the night before. Sitting up she looked around trying to spot him between the trees, but it seemed he had gotten further than she expected he could in that short amount of time, "where the fucking hell..." Her lips turned into a tight frown. With a deep sigh she stood from her resting spot and attempted to survey the area again. The darkness did not hinder her sight too badly, but it was still twilight and she did not have the full ability to see in the darkness. "Bloody idiot. Does he not realize that predators hunt during these hours?" Her eyes scanned the ground for a suggestion on which way he went and seeing a few crunched branches she headed off in that direction muttering obscenities to the trees.

actualexander 04-27-2010 05:10 AM

He had a definite jump to his step, he was breezing through the trees. He was looking around for any form of wildlife that might satisfy his craving. He knew a small amount of hunting, and was looking around for a rabbit. A nice small catch that would brighten this already amazing morning. He seemed to have found a rabbit, and approached quietly. As he was approaching he heard a snarl and spotted a wolf waiting to pounce on the rabbit. Looks like the wolf had found something else to hunt this morning.

Mnemosyne 04-27-2010 05:16 AM

The snarl of a wolf became evident in the silent woods. She knew she couldn't be that far off from him and so she picked up her pace. Her legs moved gently beneath her despite her speed. Her feet caressing the ground they landed on. Her fingers immediately went to her hip in search of one of her many daggers as she continued to move forward throughout the trees. "Targo, where the fuck are you," she called out, hoping the wolf was simply growling at some other creature trying to take his prey.

actualexander 04-27-2010 05:22 AM

He had his sword ready to strike now but the wolf stood his ground. The wolf was pacing around and Targo had no choice but to keep a healthy distance. He strongly worried if he could even strike as fast the wolf. The rabbit took the great opportunity to flee for his life. The wolf grew tired of waiting and quickly leaped towards Targo. He was able to dodge and continued to evade the attacks, desperately trying to stay alive.

Mnemosyne 04-27-2010 05:28 AM

Her eyes caught the glimpse of a silver blur and she quickly changed directions taking a leap onto one of the lower hanging branches of a tree. She moved herself up as high as she could into the tree and saw the wolf. She also spotted Targo dancing around the canines advances. She growled at this, herself. Flinging one of her daggers she aimed for the wolves head hoping to hit it before it took another leap.

It seems luck was in his favor this morning. He spotted his ally approach and made a move towards her. "I have no idea what I got myself into this morning, a little assistance would be greatly appreciated." He tried to make his way over but the wolf finally got a bite in on his leg. He latched on firmly and Targo tried desperately to escape. His sword was too bulky to get an effective strike in. He gave out a yelp of pain as the wolf dug in further and he began to slip towards the ground.

"SHUT UP", she screamed at her companion frustrated that he'd allowed her to be a distraction. Her dagger landed short of the wolf and she was annoyed by that even further. She flung five tiny blades towards the wolf this time and jumped down from the tree landing with an almost catlike grace. If none of those hit that vantage point was worthless anyways. Luckily three of them made their mark between the wolves eyes. The other two were unfortunately not accounted for by her eyes, yet. As she scanned the area for them her mouth seemed to take on a life of its own muttering curse words left and right as she randomly shot glaring eyes towards Targo.

"Thanks" he muttered as he looked down at his leg. He had never seen that much blood flowing from his body. He made a feeble attempt to stop the bleeding, but dizziness quickly took over. His leg was in enormous pain, and no matter how hard he tried to focus on anything else he just could not. His vision was fading and could barely hang on to the sight on his ally. His entire world went black when he could not take the pain anymore

She couldn't help, but laugh at this. Luckily Targo was unconscious or he may have been offended by it, but Delilah didn't seem to care much either way. She bent and removed the two daggers from his leg and sat down beside him. Pulling a bottle of water from her pouch she set it down next to his shoulder and then began removing his pants. Once she had gotten them off she placed her hands on the wounded leg, just above the wounds themselves. Her hands began to glow lightly. The light did not emanate further than the hands themselves, they simply glowed and the wounds beneath them began to heal. Delilah hated healing wounds. It tired her out and for some reason completely dehydrated the patient. It was always a nuisance to have to recuperate after the smallest heals and having to give up her water supply was never wanted.

She hoped she'd have time to put his pants back on him before he woke again. She started working towards this goal as gingerly as she could manage as to not wake him.

He began to feel better a lot faster than he could have imagined. He could faintly hear his companion rustling around with his wound. The wound that he could not feel anymore, at all. The only discomfort he felt was an immense thirst, a thirst unlike any thirst he had felt before. Slowly trying to get up he stumbled as he saw Delilah still assisting him. He immediately got flustered and tried to adjust to the situation. He spotted the water near him and began to drink, trying to get past this awkward situation.

Delilah burst out laughing at his flustered attempts to cover himself. Standing, a little too quickly, she swayed slightly before grabbing hold of a trunk and steadying herself. She sighed and turned herself away from him, "You're going to want to drink that water a little slower. You're going to be thirsty for a little while and it has to last you. We can easily walk to the river as we are nearby. However, I need about an hour to recover. Healing is quite possibly the worst thing for a girl."

She smiled weakly to herself and shrugged, "You got your pants back on, hun?"

"You act tough but you still have your limits. Still I am greatly in your debt, and I thank you." He stopped drinking the water, despite the terrible thirst that still plagued him. He began to approach her and held out a hand to assist her. "Also I know you preferred my pants off"

Mnemosyne 05-02-2010 12:09 AM

"Everyone has a limit. Healing is hard." She looked at his hand and shook her head, "No, thank you. I'd prefer to just stand here for a bit. It wont take long."

At his comment she chuckled, "If I wanted them off they'd have been off within the first hour I met you, hotshot."

"It certainly would not hurt for me to assist you. I know it is my fault that you are like this and I want to help." He once again offered assistance, this time with a beaming smile. He hoped that he could make up for his enormous mistake this morning. "And I could have done the same" He added with a wink

Laughing she took his hand and stepped away from the tree shakily, "Greater men than you have tried and failed, sweety. Not to mention the whole you almost being eaten by a wolf thing being a definite turn off. You're going to have to work on that swordsmanship." She tilted her head slightly and smirked, "Lets head for the river. It isn't far and I should be all right from here.
"

He aided her in the best way he could. Despite her lack of faith in him at this point he still definitely had immense strength. He definitely need to work on his swordmanship. More time adventuring would help he concluded. "I apologize for my lack of skill, did not get much practice back in that stupid town. If you need more help just let me know, your pride could hurt you. Trust me, I know" He said as he pointed to his leg, which had no wounds now, thanks to her. "Off to the river it is then!"

Mnemosyne 05-02-2010 04:13 AM

"I should be fine now. We rested for a few minutes and it wasn't that deep of a wound. I'll just be a little tired for a bit. That's all." She smiled at him and began moving towards the river, but holding his hand moreso than allowing him to support her. "What do you say we do a little swords practice after we've both rested up a bit and then head to the next town? See what we can gather there for us to do. I'm a little short on funds currently and sometimes things need to be killed and sometimes people are willing to pay for it. What do you say, Champ?"

actualexander 05-02-2010 04:23 AM

He felt really great about being with her right now. He continued along with her, smiling as he went "A little practice sounds perfect to me. I could definitely use your help, you know your way with a blade. The plan for heading into town sounds great as well, another night in the woods sounds terrible to me." He laughed loudly, at himself actually.

Mnemosyne 05-02-2010 04:27 AM

"Well, I am better with smaller blades, but you need practice so we'll work on yours." she smiled and then pushed through a couple bushes opening up a small pathway to the river. "You don't like sleeping out here? You're going to have one hell of a time, then. The next town is at least half a day away and I've got to sleep before I try that trek." Releasing his hand she moved closer to the water, slipping her fingers into it, and then laughing, "It's always so nice in the water."

actualexander 05-02-2010 04:32 AM

"Yes the water is very nice!" He joined her in the river, getting some of the nice refreshment. You may have to sleep right now, but I can stay awake. Your healing really did some nice work on me, I feel great. After your rest we can do some sword work, I am just going to look around. I swear I will not leave this little area, no worries friend." He declared as he continued to drink the glorious water he desired.

Mnemosyne 05-02-2010 04:41 AM

"Well, I don't need to sleep just yet, but if you're going to travel the area that works for me just fine. I need a bath anyhow and if you're planning on being gone all the better. Do stay nearby and call out if you need me this time, okay?" She stood and gave him a small pat on the back. She took a few steps away from him towards a low hanging branch and began removing her cloak.
