Vote on a Cosplay Avi!
 

I have a vote to propose! I'm trying to decided on a Yu Yu Hakusho cosplay avi between Yoko and Shuichi. Here they are:

The Shuichi avi should have the same petals as the Yoko one, I was just too lazy to photoshop it in. The Yoko one costs about 2800 gold and the Shuichi one should be around 1300 I think. Please let me know which one you like best! Also, any suggestions for improvement on either are welcome too!

Hmm...difficult to decide. I would do both, but I might try some different clothes for Kurama the redhead. Maybe go with a red palate since the pink is way too bright. Or maybe go with his previous uniform which was blue. Might be easier to match. Also not sure about the sash for the Youko. He needs more of a top maybe, then again that would cover the gashes so I can definitely see why you went the way you did. Hmm....

I wandered the shops and made a shopping cart for a Kurama avi and these were the two possible outfits I liked the best. ^_^

And of course the flowers and the rose and such, and maybe the tapio defender for it's nice trees. Oh! And maybe the Tatsu the dragon to represent Hiei if you wanted to do that. ^_^ The youko avi might also benefit from the winter's flight item (white wings). I've seen pictures of Youko with white plant wings.

This was the best Youko I could do with my inventory. I think the over skirt you used and the pants you used are better than what I had on hand. The softer bangs help to make him look more like the picture I think. Also your shoes are perfect (I just don't own any white shoes that aren't geta. O_o' I also have the wings if want to see what he looks like with those instead of the fog of past life that I was going for. I also have the fox tail but the orange really catches the eye and it is just wrong.

Oh, also, what were you talking about with the blue uniform? I don't remember Shuichi ever wearing a blue one... O. o

I was thinking about using the fog but wasn't sure if it was on the same layer as the rose petals so I didn't photoshop that in.

Umm....I thought it was blue when he met Hiei...It was in the manga so it may have been black and white and my mind supplied blue as the color lol. Let me see if I can find it.

Oh thanks, that could prove to be useful. ^^; I always feel so noobish in comparison to everyone else's vastly superior knowledge of the show. >.<

Bah! Can't find the piccy and I don't have time to keep hunting for it right now. I'll see if I can find it later. Okay. There is also the yellow tunic outfit that is used for a lot of his merchandise. Might not be able to do that one on here but I don't know.

AHHA!! Blue uniform, short haired Kurama! I'm not crazy! O_o I think he must have been about 10-11 in that pic if I had to estimate by the growth of his hair.

Oh, when he was younger, I see. The yellow one I feel is impossibleish but I'm working on the white one he wears during the Dark Tournament quite a bit as well. Thanks for looking! Sorry for wasting your time. >.<

No worries. I wasted my time, lol. Not you. The white was also one that I thought about. You might be able to use the white magoja and then use the arm wraps from the second page of accentuate to be the makeup of doom from that battle. Then maybe the white pants with the hearts on the bottoms for the leg makeup....just an idea I had.

Oh, I had one started with the white and a tree in the background but I could do that as well... Hm. I'll keep experimenting and then show you what I come up with. In the meantime my avi is some creepy 2-toned skin cross dresser. >.<

lol, weird. O_o' The time between avi's is always weird. lol.

Alrighty, here's the most recent one. I decided to stay away from the Gama fight, it just wasn't looking right to me. What do you think?

I was thinking of maybe putting the White Heartface Fox on there as well to represent his Yoko side. Oh, and probably the moonlit bracers to simulate the black cuffs on his shirt.

Not bad, very elegant and pretty. The fox is a good choice and the bracers would be good if they go on the outside. Not sure about the layering on those. Still, very Kurama-ish! ^_^ You might consider different eyes? Those look a bit too innocent. He needs to be more mysterious looking. Not sure we have better eyes....*shrugs*

Yeah, I don't really like the eyes either so I might play around with them once I start making the avi. I'm pretty sure the bracers go on the outside but I'm not 100% positive so I'll have to see. Thank you very much for the input!

I'll have to work on the Yoko avi a bit more when I have my computer with me. I was thinking about adding the tank under the sash and seeing it on the one you made does make it look a bit better. The hair choice is better too I think, I forgot about that style. I want to add in the smoke as well and then see what that looks like.

Okay, I used an online photoshopeque site to try to fix up a new Yoko avi. Here's what I came up with:

What do you think about this one? Getting better? I'm not too sure about the fog on the one side, it seems to make that side heavy. I didn't really like adding the other pose of it though as it kinda hid the skirt at the bottom. >.<

Try the smoke from the ninja arsenal. Costly but nice. ^_^ Otherwise pretty nice. The tank definitely looks better than just the sash. What is on his face? O_o'

It's the gold moon face tattoo... In the pic there's kinda like some like.. Injury or something there and I thought it might kinda represent that... >.<

Ah, I would lose that. It looks like he has a wrinkle or something. O_o' Maybe just shooting for a Kurama without realistic battle damage would be best. Mene just doesn't have much that works for that.

lol, yes. I have one already because I'm a Narutard. lol. ^_^ I would try it wit both sides of the Obakemono smoke....or the lotus...er...what is the name of that one. Ah, Blood Lotus. I think it may have a steam/smoke pose too. Not sure. lol, it has a pool to stand in. *mental picture of Kurama from the movie* *nose bleed* lol. That is an avi that would be fun to do. lol. Easy too.

That still leaves the problem however of which one I want to do... I'm kinda leaning towards Yoko... What do you think after all of the changes?

I didn't use the other half of the Obakemono because it kinda cuts off the skirt and makes it look odd. The little pool would be fun to do from the movie but I'm not sure how he'd be able to look... Scanty enough? *Shrugs*

lol, the nekkid scene. O_o' I was kidding, lol. I like both of those. The grass from Down on the Farm (what Hiei is standing on) would be a nice addition to Shuuichi there. With that, I think I like him better because it looks more complete. Also, not sure you know this. The flower petals you are using will wrap around your avi a bit, not just go behind. Hiei is wearing that too. ^_^ I also like the redheaded Kurama avi better because it includes more aspects of Kurama as a whole. Both sides of him as it were. ^_^ So I guess I can finally vote. ^_^

Oh and I edited my post in the RP. ^_^ Maybe you can post sometime soon? *hint hint* lol. No rush. I have to go to bed soon anyway.

I'm not sure about the grass really... It's a much brighter green than the tree and that'd probably bug me. I know the petals wrap around but for the sake of photoshoping them in... It's just easier to imagine them there. >.< I kinda like the Yoko avi myself but I've been looking around in the marketplace and I haven't seen any Imperial Lucky Cat so that might be out of the window. >.<

As for the RP, when I last looked there was only 2 lines so there wasn't much to do. I'll have to go see about your edit but I won't post tonight. It's almost 3:00am here and I really need to go to bed. >.< Mene has been stealing my soul lately. >.<

I think I'll probably go for that one then, so long as I can find that On the Farm item. That makes the new estimated price 2380. >.<

For the flowers, I just wanted to make sure you knew. Yes, availability is a major issue. I still need the new monthlies and one of last months. :headdesk: I've seen the grass used with the tree before and it looked really nice. Grass and trees should not need to be the same shade of green, lol. That would be unrealistic. The Yoko avi is nice but the Shuu avi just looks more polished to me. However, it really just boils down to which one you feel more strongly about. It is your gold, if you prefer the demon form, go for it. The heartface fox could go well with it too if you wanted to spice it up a bit.

Well, Hiei still only has two lines but he is still asking Kurama a question with those two lines...and without actually asking the question because he's Hiei and I feel like I've had him talking too much. lol. Ah well, night Zig. Glad I could help. I haven't been on the site long but I'm an item stalker, so I have most of the items memorized. lol. My quest list is massive! I don't really know what it is but there's something about different shades of colors that bother me, like whites have to match, greens, and so forth. I think I might have found someone offering the On the Farm so it looks like I'm on my way to that Kurama avi. ^_^
