The Alliance {Yaoi, Yuri, Het}
Open and Accepting
Two weeks ago, Erin started a Gay-Straight Alliance at Stonewood High (Home of the Stoners). Erin never thought that it would catch on -- the gay kids at Stonewood have always been quiet and subdued, more concerned with fitting in than with supporting each other -- but now she finds misfits flooding into her little group from all the deepest, darkest corners of the school. The Alliance chronicles the misadventures of the members of the Stonewood GSA, both in the meetings and outside of them. They will encounter both love and hate, fear and acceptance. The first meeting is today -- will you be there? Rules ♥ Try to be somewhat literate. Your grammar doesn't have to be immaculate, but at least make an effort to spell correctly, and do not use chatspeak in posts ♥ No one-line posts. Please try to make your posts three sentences or longer (and not "She turned. She exhaled. She looked away," please). ♥ Keep it clean. Yes, I realize that this RP deals with teenagers and teenagers have sex, but they don't have to do so on screen. ♥ No flaming. If you don't like the way someone else roleplays, keep it to yourself. If you see someone breaking the rules, drop me a PM, but don't call them out on it -- I'll handle it. ♥ This is a realistic roleplay. In other words, your character cannot have naturally pink hair. She cannot be psychic. She cannot be a werewolf. ♥ Your character doesn't have to be gay or bi. This is the gay-straight alliance, after all. ;) ♥ You may have a maximum of two characters. In order to keep interaction going, none of your characters may currently have a romantic relationship with another of your own characters. Character Skeleton: (send this to me in a PM to join the roleplay). Code:

At lunch, Erin stopped at her locker to stow her bookbag, and paused a little longer than necessary in order to compose herself. Today was the first GSA meeting, and although she'd been anticipating it for weeks, she couldn't help but be nervous. Erin never though of herself as any kind of leader, but someone had to start the group -- this school needed it -- and she was as good a choice as anyone else.
Erin only regretted that her friend Darren had refused to join -- he wasn't out yet, and was painfully shy around people he didn't know -- as she could use a friend at the meeting. Still, she supposed she would have to just steel herself and head to the meeting. Taking a deep breath, she started down the hall. |
Samantha Billings skipped down the hall in her cutest gothic outfit and smiled at everyone she passed. A few smiled back, but most just started whispering about how crazy she looked. Sam didn't care though. She was a weirdo and she was A-OKAY with it. She had heard from a few people about a new club opening up. GPA? GAS? SGA? She couldn't remember but, she wanted to give it a try anyways, since she knew what room it was in already. She skipped down the hall and into the correct room, seeing nothing but a bunch of empty desks. "Hmm, I must be the first one here..." She mumbled to herself, walking in and taking a seat.
Ryan pushed his glasses up his nose again as they slid down and continued to read. He noticed a scarey girl from his math class skipping down the hall, as much of the weirdo she was, but he stayed out of her way just as he did everyone else at this stupid school. He was in no clubs, and didn't know about many he seemed interested in. He stood up from the bench he was sitting on and moved to a different room, the art room. Nobody was ever in there, so he liked the solitude. He pulled off his messenger bag and flipped the small group of hairs out of his eyes, then moved to a chair and began to paint. |
((I'm so sorry for my disappearance -- I've been buried in homework. >< I'll do my best to be more active henceforth.))
Erin entered the room where the meeting was to be held, and was surprised to see someone there before her. The girl was a gothic-looking freshman whom Erin had noticed before -- Samantha, wasn't it? "Hi," Erin said. "It's Samantha, right?" She wished once again that Darren was there -- while she wasn't half as shy as her friend, Erin was never good talking to just one person. She hoped that the other new GSA members would turn up soon. |
(( Its no problem! I'm too busy being happy that your back! ))
Samantha smiled widely at the girl who walked in. She seemed to know Samantha, but Samantha had no clue as to who she was. "Hey!" She grinned. "I prefer to be called Sam, by the way." She stood up and gave the girl a hug. "Its nice to meet you." Then she giggled a bit. "Sorry, but I don't know your name..." Ryan put down the brush, satisfied with his work. He picked up the canvas and set it on the floor, face up, to dry. Then he grabbed his messenger bag, slid it over his chest and walked outside, not knowing what to do since he still didn't feel like heading home. |
Kasey walked down the hallway almost elegantly but still manly. The preps classified him as an emo but he didn't care for the stupid high school classification. He was himself and no one could change that. He passed a man wearing glasses and a messenger bag. Kasey looked the man over from behind his sunglasses. He's ok... he thought and he kept walking toward the room he was basically told to go to (not by anyone in particular, just from the many voices inside his head).
Tray came from the other direction, heading down the stairs from her last class. she was excited to meet new people that sharred the same beliefs she did. She entered the room looking at the two girls that were already in there. The girl bit her bottom lip awkwardly and then smiled. "Hi everyone! My name is Tracy, but please just call me Tray!" she said as she walked over to the girls. She had a messenger bag with band names pinned on. she set her bag on a desk and moved her hair out of her face. |
Sam smiled wide when another girl walked into the room and introduced herself. Immediately, she ran over gave her a big hug. "Nice to meet you, Tray!" She smiled and took a step back. "My name is Samantha, but I'll kill you if you call me that." She said with wide, serious eyes. Then, she went back to her perky self. "I prefer to be called Sam and don't forget it." She giggled, a bit girly. She took a sat right between the two others and smiled widely, "So, we're all here 'cuz we like gay people, right?" She asked with a big smile.
Ryan walked past the familiar kid with the multi-colored hair that he knew as Kasey and smiled. He turned around and brought his hand up in a wave. "Kasey!" He called. |
Kasey look back at the boy and stopped. He turned to fully face him. "Hey," he said, his voice manlier than what one would expect but in the tenoir range (yay for choir words!XD). he nodded at Ryan, waiting to see if the boy would do something else or if he was just saying "hi".
Tray was shocked from the sudden hug she got but smiled. She normally hugs her friends but she also has a trust/comfortable issue. Her thing is is that she won't hug you until she knows you. Tray didn't push away or anything, she just felt a little uncomfortable hugging someone she just met. then to answer the question that followed, she nodded. "I guess, either like, agree with or actually are a homosexual." |
Sam looked between the two girls and grinned, then raised her hand. "I am only half homosexual so..." Then she trailed off. "I like your hair." She smiled at Tray. "Cute. Kinda emo, but I like it."
Ryan smirked as Kasey replied and walked up to him. "Hey, I'm so bored right now, do you want to go do something?" He asked, nearly holding his breath for his answer. |
Kasey looked around the hall, making sure that no one was in hearing distance since he still hasn't come out (and for the fact that it was a senior talking to a freshman). "uh... well i'm going to this thing right now. you're welcome to join me... if not that's fine.... we can hook up after it as well. give me your hand," he said as he pulled out a purple marker.
"oh. thanks! my hair dresser is amazing! I love him! he always gives me great results. and this hair style is actually based on the jrock style," she stated and smiled. |
Ryan pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose and nodded, understanding why he waited until the coast was mostly clear. Even though Ryan was out that he was gay, he still got picked on for it. He could feel his heart skip a beat when he asked for his hand. "Okay," Then he offered his hand out, and saw the purple marker, finally understanding.
Samantha nodded and felt at the tips of her own long black hair. "Yeah, I do mine by myself." Then she made a pfft-ing sound and flipped her hair over her shoulder. "That must be why I have so many dead ends on my hair and hair straightener burns on my hands." She laughed a little. |
Kasey took Ryan's hand and wrote his number on it. "this is my cell number. I have unlimited text, so feel free," he stated and put his marker back. A smile stretched his lips and he walked off to the room that kept running through his head. The man walked in noticing that there were only girls in there. he sat down at the nearest desk, not sure what to say or do.
Tray laughed a little when the girl said she did her own hair and started to practically complain about having split ends and so on. "it's ok. I'll introduce you to my hair dresser if you like," she stated and then turned around when she heard footsteps. a man walked into the room and sat down. Tray pressed her lips together before saying anything. "hey." |
Ryan looked down at the number on his hand and sighed. He tightened the strap on his messenger bag, then went along on his way, trying everything he could to forget Kasey's smiling face. When he rounded a corner to enter the gymnasium, he ran face forward into a basketball player who's name escaped him. He immediately fumbled around on the floor for his glasses and went still as he felt something connect with the back of his head. It must've been a basket ball because it was round and bounced away. He couldn't see though, so he didn't know. "Watch where your going, FAG!" He heard someone laugh. Ryan ignored their stupidity and continued to search around for his glasses. "We know your sight is impared, but is your hearing, too?" They continued to laugh. "We called you a FAGGOT." They all grinned. Ryan found his glasses and shoved them on his face, ignoring the fact that they were cracked. "Whatever." He said under his breath and stood up, beginning to leave. But before he could go anywhere, He felt hands grab his collar and shove him against the wall. "What are you going to do? We just called you a FAG!?" Ryan pushed the boy back and then ran. This was normal, but he was sick and tired of it. He tried his best to tune out the harsh laughs as he continued to run.
Samantha smiled when a boy finally came into the room. She completely forgot about the statement about being introduced to her hairdresser and ran up and hugged the boy who walked in and sat down. She practically ran to his desk and propped her head on his desktop. "HEY!" She smiled widely. "What's your name?" She asked with wide eyes. |
Kasey smiled back with a smile that would melt anyone's heart. "i'm Kasey. and who are you, sweetheart?" he asked. the senior sat there with his sunglasses on still.
Tray was smiling. waiting for things to start. |
Sam ignored that fact that he called her sweetheart, and didn't falter at all when he gave his heart melting smile. "My name is Samantha. But call me Sam!" She smiled, then thought a moment. "Are you gay?" She asked, seeing how it was a club for supporters of homosexuals.
Ryan stopped running when he found himself at a coffee shop and ran into the alley beside it. As soon as he got in, his knees failed him and he sat on the ground, propped up against the wall in a heap of sobs. |
Kasey paused, not saying anything. He looked at the floor and away from the group of girls.
|
Samantha suddenly felt as if she had crossed the line. "Oh." Then she took a seat next to him and half-hugged him. "That's okay. You don't have to say. That's what this club is for, right? Supporting?"
|
Kasey looked at the girl out of the corner of his eyes. his silence continued.
|
Samantha finally gave up talking about orientation and gave him one of her signature Sammy smiles. "Well. On a lighter note, I like your hair. Very multi-colered and emo-ish. Kinda like Tray's." She said, motioning to Trays awesome looking hair.
