My name isn't really Hachi, but all my friends call me Hachi, so, yeah, it became my name. Err, I'm 15 years old, dutch, and bi. Ehm, yeah, what more to tell?

Hi Hachi. Welcome to menewsha. :) What is the story behind that name of yours? It translates into the number 8 in Japanese, and I find it different for people to nickname you after number.

Yeah, I know, it comes from NaNa, if you know that manga. And she is named after a dog, the one from the movie "Hachiko". Get it a bit? ^^'

I never knew of that manga, and now I am confused, explain further please? And I refer that meaning of "Hachi" because I am natural Japanese speaker.

@Usuke; Er, well, there is a manga that I absolutely love, called NaNa. It's about two girls, both called Nana. The one starts the other calling "Hachi[ko]" because she ehm, thinks she kinda looks like a dog ^^[Inner, then]. So she calls her after the one in the movie "Hachiko" and, well, Hachi is just short for it. And ehm, well I'm named after her, Nana.

And further.. not really. I watched Mermaid Melody when I was younger, and I started at Shana. [Shakugan no Shana, I taught it was called..]
