"Any kind of useful." Algie paused. "How is Razz? Still upset? If you want, I could try to talk to him..." he offered. He sounded like a concerned mother hen.
Iri shook her head slowly before saying, "Rasputin is fine, he is just getting some rest. I would suggest leaving him be a little while longer until then. In a new power friendly realm his powers may react without his consent at this point and I would prefer no one getting hurt because of that."
"Can't be worse than turning into a cheetah every five minutes," Algie grumbled, then perked up. "He won't go off on me. He's 100% comfortable around Tzal, Wyatt, and myself. I doubt he'll get upset with me unless I seriously irritate him, and I'm not really that irritating..."
"You forget that he is not used to where he is now," Iri told him almost as if reminding the boy. "I do not know what his powers could even be. At his stress level anything could happen at this point. I would suggest that you just let him finish up his rest, unless you feel so inclined to wake him now."
"Is he asleep, now? He doesn't like sleeping in unfamiliar places," Algie warned her. "If he's awake, then I could go talk to him...if he's not, I guess I'll try to get some sleep..."
Razz had just woken up. He was staring off into the distance, his cats curled around him. |
Iri's eyes fell slightly dead as she looked at the cheetah. "His mind pattern has changed, he is awake," she told him though she wasn't too thrilled at the idea. She was still living in the past with her old sire; if anyone but Iri ventured into his room without his knowing then heads would roll.
"I can go see him, then?" Algie's tail swished back and forth excitedly. Razz was like a little brother to him--the family he wanted and really never had. He acted like a big brother to him, for sure.
Iri waved a hand dismissively before saying, "Yeah, if you want to go see him that bad you may, but you'll have to follow me." Her eyes hardened slightly as she looked at the cheetah knownig that he wouldn't know the way to Razz's room; heck, a lot of the servants didn't even know how to get to the room.
"Lead the way." Algie had no problem being led. He just wanted to see Razz and make sure he was all right. Razz wasn't too social, but he cherished the few friends he had and couldn't live without their contact.
