That is why I started fighting back.

Claudia 06-02-2010 03:51 AM

Yep, being a nice kind child does not help you along in the real world. Mean people will "step "all over you.
Only positive part is one of the mean children from my school later went to jail. I guess they learned the hard way that continuing to be mean is not always acceptable in the adult "world".

crazymuch 06-02-2010 03:52 AM

I did have a last straw in the 10th grade and agreed to fight this one chick. she wanted me to hit her first but I told her she had to hit me first. this went on until her dad drove past us on his way home from work. he saw this, knew what was happening, and she got in MAJOR trouble ... her dad was the sheriff ...

Ah... aspergers... =.= some people like to pick on those who are different... just because he plays alone, he's a target... (learned that in middle school)

I know 2 aspies... and I know them to be great people... but one of them I know also had a major history of being picked on... =) I'd be careful, I myself am I little different from most people, so I can personally say that they will target him because he is different...

At least... from how my life is turning out that seems to be the case...

:ninja: just throwing that out there in case it helps... I hate when people are picked on

Claudia 06-02-2010 03:55 AM

My approach to aggression is that I will only fight back, I am never going to be the aggressor.
I believe in defending yourself against bad people. Good kind people get hurt by mean people if they don't stand up for themselves.

Enzeru 06-02-2010 03:56 AM

I'm a defender, rarely ever an aggressor.

crazymuch 06-02-2010 03:57 AM

what I don't understand is how those people live with themselves. I would feel horrible if I treated somebody badly. especially if the only reason is because they are different from me. how can it make you happy knowing the other person is hurting for nothing they really did?

Claudia 06-02-2010 03:58 AM

Because some people are bad/mean and get joy from the suffering of others?. I mean why do people commit crimes?. I believe some people are inherently evil.
Anyhow, I think mean people are most likely to simply choose a target based on who is going to fight them back or not.
Passive people are easier targets for them. That is when the target is random.

I'm "training" two aspies who led a sheltered life... Training them to have coping mechanisms and to be more social XD;; They don't mind it too much since they're friends of mine. I'm the first person to treat them like actual human beings apparently >>;;

Even if they are different, if you treat them like they're 'problem' is just part of them and isn't nothing major, then they tend to be more willing to cooperate and all that.

Bullying sucks :< I used to be bullied back in middle school and senior year of high school because I was overweight by a lot and liked Pokemon >< Or because I was the 'leader' of the outcasts >>;; I kept my friends in line, nothing more, really.

And I usually only verbally fought back. Flashing intelligence was my defense ^^- I often left them going "What just happened?"

Some people are mean because of various things... they like the reaction/the attention... they like feeling superior... etc.

Enzeru 06-02-2010 04:02 AM

My boyfriend is guesting on a podcast that clearly makes fun of us every chance they get >.<

The Wandering Poet 06-02-2010 04:02 AM

Some people fight because they want to hide the fact that they are selfish cowards who would rather destroy something they don't understand than risk opening up to something unknown

Claudia 06-02-2010 04:02 AM

Us...as in avatar games?.

crazymuch 06-02-2010 04:03 AM

it is true. humans behave a lot more like animals than we want to admit. and how does one usually become top animal in the wild? by being a big bully and jerk to the others to prove he or she is better ... *sighs*

I have never heard a podcast ...

Red_Hope 06-02-2010 04:03 AM

Or as in you and him? o.o

Yeah... it's sad when animals act more intelligent then a human and yet humans are supposedly smarter XD;;

crazymuch 06-02-2010 04:03 AM

I don't think I'd want my man talking about me on some podcast ... that is private ... not for the world at large ... but then, I don't have a man so whatever.

Enzeru 06-02-2010 04:03 AM

You have never heard a podcast? Wow!
I can refer you to a few good ones if you want to listen to some.

crazymuch 06-02-2010 04:04 AM

I gladly would! but my speakers don't work.

The Wandering Poet 06-02-2010 04:04 AM

pod... cast? o.o those things still exist? what are those things? Been wondering for ages...

Red_Hope 06-02-2010 04:05 AM

Podcasts are very popular in some circles *Nods*

Enzeru 06-02-2010 04:05 AM

Podcasts are prerecorded radio shows.
Too bad your speakers are borked.

crazymuch 06-02-2010 04:05 AM

poet suddenly makes me feel very old ... not only does she think they are ancient, but I've never even heard one ...

GrannyJ 06-02-2010 04:05 AM

Hello! I was hoping to find some of you nice people in here to chat!
I'm so glad I came by.

Enzeru 06-02-2010 04:06 AM

Most of my friends have a podcast.

crazymuch 06-02-2010 04:06 AM
