okay, I'm back again. I had to go place an order in a user shop.

My car is steaming, smoking, and making hissing noises. I'm pretty sure none of these things are normal car behavior.

I'm out of coolant. I'm pretty sure there's a leak.
And an oil leak, seeing as I'm getting grey smoke out the talkpipe. Edit: Joel is taking me to somewhere. This may be fixed. |
@Hyena: You can use water. It's perfectly safe to fill it with water until you can get more coolant / get it fixed.

true, you can use water for coolant. you'll wanna have a gallon jug or 2 in your car full of water at all times until you can afford to get it fixed.

when I was married I was in charge of keeping the truck and the car in good working order. my ex didn't even know where the windshield wiper fluid went. I tried to show him but he refused to learn.

Sad, isn't it? One of the easiest things to find, especially if you just READ THE LABELS! :lol:
My current guy is great with vehicles, though. He's actually had training as a mechanic, so no more worries, there. Hah! My ex now drives an import, too. That just makes me want to laugh. |

i at least know where the oil and windshield stuff goes. from there i have no idea.

... I probably sound a little bit elitist or something, but I just don't understand how someone can go about driving a car if they can't be sure the wiper fluid and oil levels are being maintained.... That's just dangerous, in my opinion. But then again, I don't drive a car.
