I, personally think it's hard to find a good, well rounded Avatar site
But I think Mene has it pretty damn close =3

Vexatious~Venom 05-25-2010 05:58 PM

I think I may have had a Zantrani account. I can't remember though, if I did I never stuck around.

----------

Indeed Mene has Star, I agree. :)

Gary Stargazer 05-25-2010 05:58 PM

I asked the same thing several times as a mod. however gaia only cares about making money, it cares about it's users about as much as walmart cares about their customers.

I do agree with Rose though. We should change the topic, there are threads for this kind of talk in Mene. no reason to stink up the event threads with talk of it. >:3

HIM_ROCK 05-25-2010 05:59 PM

This is one of the better avatar sites I go on.

Star Valo 05-25-2010 05:59 PM

I love Mene!

Vexatious~Venom 05-25-2010 06:00 PM

Sure. A subject change to what though? :P

ME TOO! *waves hands*

shinigamikarasu 05-25-2010 06:00 PM

That is really pointless. And that thread? Wow, just, wow. I'm glad that I never got too far into it before getting bored.

Mene's worked pretty well for me, though.

Random off topic: Does anyone have any good movie recommendations? They don't have to be new releases, either. I'm just thinking about having a movie night this weekend and would like some ideas.

kandii_k 05-25-2010 06:00 PM

Well what is everyone's favorite kind of music?

Harley Q 05-25-2010 06:00 PM

Uhm, first of all you shouldn't kid yourself. It's in the interest of everyone, including this site, to make money. One day, Menewsha will have more ways for you to buy things with real money, it just doesn't yet.
And personally, I like some of Gaia's Cash Shop items, I own quite a few evolving items and monthly collectibles, but I've never paid with real money.

Gary Stargazer 05-25-2010 06:00 PM

how about a show me your <insert male reproductive organ here> topic? XD!!

kandii_k 05-25-2010 06:01 PM

Speaking of movies I just went to see Iron Man 2 and I think they're making a Thor movie next for all you comic buffs out there.

If you don't mind subtitles and blood Pan's Labrynth

Harley Q 05-25-2010 06:01 PM

Shinigami, if you're looking for a comedy I'd suggest The Backup Plan with Jennifer Lopez and that-guy-who-looks-good-without-a-shirt-on. I laughed really hard in some parts, it was very entertaining.

Star Valo 05-25-2010 06:02 PM

"Finding Neverland" is a cute little film that made me cry...

Vexatious~Venom 05-25-2010 06:03 PM

My favourite types of music are any. I have really ecclectic tastes. I am not overly fond of screamo or gimecore punk though :P

Movie reccommendations would be: Alice In Wonderland, The Book Of Eli, Rocky Horror Picture Show (classic must see), Nightmare In Elm Street, IT, Shutter Island and Grease. Oh, and Dirty Dancing :)

----------

Also, any film with Seth Rogan is a must see

kandii_k 05-25-2010 06:04 PM

I'm open to anything except screamo and country music. Bleh.

Harley Q 05-25-2010 06:04 PM

Star, is Finding Neverland the one with Kate Winslet and Johnny Depp? If it is, I wouldn't recommend it, I didn't enjoy it very much [and I love Johnny Depp].

If you want a good horror movie, I recommend Hannibal Rising. Gaspard Ulliel, who plays the young Hannibal, was perfect in the part. So very convincing.

Gary Stargazer 05-25-2010 06:04 PM

I like dance music and 80's. Course I like most everything but country and rap. Xd

kandii_k 05-25-2010 06:05 PM

Seth is one funny bastard i have to admit. Oh ya and Hangout over is pretty funny too. If your really into dirty jokes

Vexatious~Venom 05-25-2010 06:05 PM

Country isn't my favourite genre but I like quite a few songs from it :)

I am loving Maroon 5 just now, I am a huge Adam Levine fan though

Star Valo 05-25-2010 06:05 PM

Yes, It's that one
I adore Johnny Depp too, but for me, that movie just made me cry so much

I don't remember it that well, but I know I cried

Lixlaria 05-25-2010 06:05 PM

I listen to a bunch of different music, only thing I don't really listen to is rap. It changes daily.

As for Movies, I am currently in love with The BlindSide and Taking Chance.

Vexatious~Venom 05-25-2010 06:06 PM

80s music=love

kandii_k 05-25-2010 06:06 PM

I like the Blindside it was really cool, and if your into Sandra the Proposal is hilarious especially the chanting scene

----------

I see a lot of 80's fans, how old are you guys?

shinigamikarasu 05-25-2010 06:06 PM

I listen to just about anything. And I always try to find stuff from other countries besides the US as well. Tik Tak(a Finnish band), Marianas Trench (a Canadian band) and Younha (a Korean singer) have really grown on me.

I've seen Pan's Labrinth a few times. It's an amazing movie, though. That monster is so creepy that I just have to love it.:)

Never seen The Backup Plan, but I'm always up for a good comedy.

I'm definitely chacking out Alice in Wonderland. I love the animated version. I'm hoping the new one will be awesome, too.
