hi :) Just logged in about 15 minutes ago and I've been looking for an active thread.
Can anyone help me? I have a killer headache and the little speaker icon on the taskbar that controls the volume on the computer is gone! Help! How do I get it back because I have to use headphones--it's early and everyone is asleep.

Programs and software - audio? I dont know how american comps look .///.

I know on mine you can find the volume control under 'start' button, 'programs', then accessories.

well, normally the little volume control speaker is on the bottom right hand corner in that blue bar on the bottom where it shows what programs are being used. It's gone and I have no idea where it went. My little brother defragged the computer yesterday and now it's gone so I'm going to kill him.

The more you use the other way of going to that volume thingy, the more the chance is it will show up again =3

I wouldn't count on it. I lost my volume control on the bottom right a while ago. I am messing with the volume all the time by going the long way for it. And I still can't figure out how to get the shortcut button back, grr.

there is on option on the computer that allows you to add and remove the buttons on your task bar. have you tired that?

I was able to get the volume control in my start menu so it is now only two clicks away ^_^
