You learn about everything that can be 'cooked' by pouring boiling water over it or putting it in the microwave. Catered halls was rubbish, but it that was that or find somewhere to live myself last year.

there are lots of things you can cook on a stove top ... but knowing you couldn't use an oven would just ... that would be like saying, chips and soda for you from here on out! |
The closest thing We've got to an oven at my place is a little toaster oven. Life sucks. Not to mention that only half the burners on our stove work

Neither of my parents can bake and my dad can cook but does so about once every two years. Count yourselves lucky!

My dad's been out of a job for the last ten years. I mean, the only "job" he's got is less than part-time, and he's too lazy and stupid to apply for anything! He thinks he's too good for working at a fast food joint because he's a friggin' computer tech.
