I know! My mum doesn't use the internet much anyway, she just uses it for college work. She isn't addicted like me.

SesshysMiko 09-18-2010 02:46 PM

Ohh I see lol I bet if she were all about facebook she'd jump right on firefox cause facebook stuff on ie just sucksss x_x My mom's addicted to facebook but she does college stuff too lol

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 03:07 PM

My mum goes on facebook quite a bit actually. It's pretty shaming that my mum has more friends than me, but she just adds randomers xD

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 03:08 PM

So how goes the questing in these parts? :)

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 03:11 PM

Hey Cica <3

The questing is going quite good thanks. I'm hoping to have at least half of my 200K total by Christmas *nod*

How're you? I haven't spoken with you in ages D:

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 03:13 PM

That would be awesome, Vex. Your quest is pretty epically huge. XD But doable!

I'm okay. Have to go to the store today and I hate driving, so I'm not looking forward to it. But it's an easy drive and I need to make it, so I will. Just putting it off for after lunch. :p How're you? It has been a while!

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 03:16 PM

Yeah. Finding sellers is the hardest part though. I mean, getting the gold isn't much of a problem, just rather a slow process. I need to curb my spending though xD

I've just gotten back from a friends house, so I am in my PJs, not going out anywhere else. It's freezing and raining. I am happy in my nice warm house xD

I'm doing good thanks for asking.

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 03:19 PM

Well, once you get enough gold, then you can advertise. That could help! :) Yeah, saving is the hardest part!

It's not raining here today, thank goodness. The weather's turned a bit chilly but not cold. Just early autumn chill, that's all. Glad you're doing well in spite of your weather, though!

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 03:24 PM

Yeah, I've allready told a few people that I'm looking for the crowns, so hopefully word of mouth will spread that around a little, and there will be sellers when I have the gold.

Yeah, I am awful at saving. I had 30K saved up a few months ago...then I spent it :gonk: I have never been more angry with myself. That is why I have moved all my gold to my mule, that way, I won't be tempted *nod*

Yeah, the weather here has been awful. I'm just getting over the cold, and this doesn't help. I'm pretty sleepy today too, so a nice chilled afternoon is what I'm looking forward to.

I'm glad to hear your doing good too <3

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 03:28 PM

Mules are good for saving. It also might help to allow yourself a small allowance for impulse buys. Send most gold to your mule, but keep a set amount for spending. Of course, that would also slow you down, so... whatever works! :)

It's actually good that we've finally gotten some rain. Just in time for cold season, though, yes. Ugh. I'm getting over one, too.

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 03:37 PM

Yeah, I may keep a little gold on my main so I can get some of the commons for Celes Paradi, I love half price event items. It depends though. I have over 10K on my mule now, and that is within a week of not playing games much. If I took it really seriously I could probably double that.

I made my art shop to try and gain a little more gold, and so far it's working quite well.

Ah, Scotland gets way too much rain for my liking D:

Yeah, I went to a concert on the 20th of August and got my cold then, then it turned into a chest infection, and then a cold again. So last week I was just getting over it. I'm returning to normal now though.

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 03:41 PM

Wow! Yeah, you probably could, and the art shop is a good idea. (I am not good at art, so that would probably be out for me. Unless I did strange little adoptables in Photoshop. Hrm.)

Ahh, Scotland! I'm envious. You may get a lot of rain, but the benefit is a very green place. (I spent a few days in Edinburgh in high school as part of an orchestra trip that took us all over England and Scotland. For a week. It was insane, but I loved it.)

Ouch. A chest infection. I've just had a plain ol' cold. Got lucky, I guess. oO

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 03:45 PM

I can't do avatar art, I totally suck at that. I do real people. So I draw like celebrities or actual photos. I need to draw Lady Gaga and Synister Gates and then I am caught up. I have made about 1K allready. Quite good. I like drawing tribal art best, but no-one has wanted any.

I've spent many summers in Edinburgh when my aunt used to live down there. It was great fun. I love the Edinburgh Dungeons. Best attraction ever I have to say. I haven't been to Edinburgh in years though, I really want to go back soon.

When I go to University I will be pretty close to Edinburgh anyway, so it's all good.

My immune system sucks, and most of my friends were ill at the time too, I guess it was just to much for me xD

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 03:53 PM

I can do goofy things in Photoshop, and that's about it. (At another site I did adoptable cheese wedges for tips. Just decorated a base based on requests. It was just generally silly.)

Don't think we made it to the Dungeons. We did see the castle (unless I'm remembering some other castle, which is entirely possible), though, and the palace (that one for sure). Oh, and Arthur's Seat! We were staying in guest dorms at the university there, so that was convenient. I fell in love with bagpipes there, too. XD

Yeah, my immune system is pretty good, actually. I'm sure I exposed myself to all sorts of things as a child. That'll happen when you grow up running around barefoot on a farm. In barns, cuddling with chickens and cats and sheep. Yeah. That's the way to strengthen the old immune system.

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 03:57 PM

Addoptable cheese wedges? Those sound awesome! Do you have a picture of one of them? I'd love to see one :3

Yeah, Edinburgh Castle is really awesome, pretty much just Edinburgh in general is awesome. What time of year did you go?

Bagpipes are love! One of my friends is like, awesome at playing the bagpipes, and he looks really spiffy in a kilt. We saw him play in a contest in the Summer. It was good, though the hanging around was rather boring.

I would have thought I exposed myself to a lot of things when I was younger, but no. It isn't like stomach sick I usually get, like I hardly ever throw up, but I always seem to get the cold. Or chest infections, I get those pretty much constantly too D:

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 04:08 PM

Here, I think you can see the album. XD The ideas were user requests, not mine, but the images. Yeah. Generally silly. :)

We went to the UK over spring break. And got surprisingly little rain! I think we got a little when we visited Stratford-Upon-Avon, but mostly whatever rain there was came at night. Luck.

In the US, I think you either love the pipes or hate them. Well, maybe not. I hadn't really thought much about them until I heard them from street corners in Edinburgh. Buskers, maybe, or people just practicing them. But I have liked Celtic music all my life, so there is that.

Yikes, that's not good. Some people are more prone to respiratory stuff, I guess. oO Maybe I'm just lucky. I get colds like everyone else, but the flu is rare, and I can't remember the last time I was immunized against it.

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 04:13 PM

I can't see the album D:

Ah, that's a good time to go. In the summer Edinburgh is ALWAYS crawling with people because of the Fringe Festival.

Ah yeah. The same here. You either love the pipes or you hate them. I'm a lover of bagpipes I have say, I always have been. I usually hear them from my house if they play them at events in the high street.

^that has to be the funniest bagpiping fail I've ever seen. British comedy panel show about music just got funnier xD

Yeah, I hardly ever get the flu. But 50 out of 52 weeks a year I have the cold, and I get chest infections nearly as often. I said to someone that I had a chest infection, and they thought I meant like...breast cancer or something. Weirdest conversation ever D:

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 04:16 PM

:headdesk: Try it now. I forgot to unlock it.

Hee! "First ya blow up yer bag." Wow. That's... Yeah, okay, that's awesome. I don't think people would tolerate much backyard bagpiping around here. The sound carries so far... Well, maybe in Alma, where there's a Scottish festival which I want to go to some year but... mostly not.

That's a lot of colds and infections. oO And an odd conversation, yeah.

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 04:20 PM

Ah, they're so cute! I love the Swiss Army Cheese *nod*

I was in stitches when I saw that. It was quite a good impersonation of a Scottish accent actually. Never Mind The Buzzcocks is a fantastic show. My favourite show host left though. It hasn't been the same since :(

I know, you can hear bagpipes for miles around. Ooh, Scottish festivals. I'm really weird, I mean I love all that stuff, even though the majority of people in my area hate all the typically Scottish things.

Yeah, my Dad says I'm just cursed to be forever ill xD

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 04:25 PM

XD Thanks. Yeah, that was a clever idea. I'm proud that I more or less managed it. :gonk:

That was a funny exchange. And the Scottish accent is great! Well, the toned down one I'm familiar with, anyway. Not sure I could understand a very thick one all that well. (Note to self. Find more Amy MacDonald interviews on YouTube.) Then again, I enjoy accents, anyway. XD

I'm mostly of German descent. I have a little Scots-Irish blood on my Mom's side. And a bit of Welsh and English, too. But it's easier to connect with that side of my ancestry than the other for some reason. Maybe because Germans have trouble with patriotism for obvious reasons. But yeah, I like UK things. Scottish and otherwise.

Aww, don't say that. Maybe you'll eventually figure out why you get sick so often and they'll be able to cure it! You never know!

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 04:31 PM

You're welcome <3 You pulled it off very well *nod*

Yeah, the really thick Scottish accents are pretty hard to understand, even I don't get them half of the time, it's mostly the dialects that are confusing though.

Ah, I don't like Amy MacDonald much. Out of Scottish artists my favourites would have to be The View, Runrig or Calvin Harris. Probably Calvin Harris first though. But since he has lived down in London for a while he has lost a lot of his Dumfries accent.

I'm a Scottish-Irish mix. My mum's family can be traced back to the original vikings that came to Scotland, and then through the Jacobite era and to today. My dad's side moved from Ireland a few generations back. Northern Ireland I think if I'm totally precise about it.

Hopefully, getting my friends to stop sneezing on me would be a good start too

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 04:35 PM

 Thanks. So, maybe I'll do a goofy adoptable shop some day, but... eh. Who knows?

She's not my favorite. Not enough to track down her latest album, which I don't think has been released in the States yet, if it ever will. I'm a KT Tunstall fan, though! Women singer/songwriters, they are fun! :)

Wow. That's a long genealogy. oO I have no idea how far my family can be traced back, really. Mom's side to the Revolutionary War, but... Hm. My dad's side would be interesting to look into, actually. That might be easier, being all German-American. (Ahh, small towns, gotta love 'em.)

Eek. Good luck with that. Lots of hand sanitizer, too!

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 04:40 PM

If you do I'll buy one, I'd like a Vexa cheese <3

Oh I like KT Tunstall too. I haven't heard much from her in ages though. Natalie Beddingfield is another one that I really like, ditto Amy Winehouse.

I find geneology really interesting. One of my dad's friends looked into that at one point, and in the olden days it turns out some of his family members were "Village Oaf" and "Imebcile" lol. My dad stopped looking into ours after that, saying he didn't want to find out if we came from lower classes, he was happy pretending we're Irish Kings and Queens xD

All German-American would be easier. Can you speak German?

Yeah, it was gross. I had to like...disenfect my arm ;P

Cicadetta 09-19-2010 04:44 PM

I probably wouldn't do cheese. Something else that's silly. XD Not sure what yet, though!

KT has another CD coming out soon! Actually, it might have already come out for you. It's not to be released here until October, though. (I am on the e-mail mailing list. Oh yes.) Not a huge Amy Winehouse fan, though. Just never really got into her stuff. There's so much music out there, though, that will happen.

Genealogy is interesting, but I think we have to travel a bit farther the farther we go back, so...

No, I can't speak any German. My family's been thoroughly Americanized, honestly. No recent immigrants unless you count my adopted cousins, who are of Chinese descent and birth. But they are so very American. (They were adopted as infants, so that's to be expected.)

Hand sanitizer's not gross. XD

Vexatious~Venom 09-19-2010 04:49 PM

Vegetables xD

Oh does she? I'll have to keep a look out for that. The only mailing list I'm on is for Calvin Harris. I have been added to see when new albums and tour dates are announced, I was gutted when I missed him playing near my house. Never again shall that be the case!

I have a really ecclectic taste in music, so the only things that I don't really like would be like, heavy punk and screamo things, or classical music. Although, I have to say, most 90s music I hate D:

Yeah, famillies are more spread out the further back you go.

Ah I see. I was just wondering because at the moment I'm learning German *nod*

No no, hand sanitizer is very nice, but having my friend sneeze green slime all over my left arm is shudder worthy xD
