Ava shook her head. "My normal pace is running under a mile in three minutes or so. Your horrible with cardio, Darrien." Ava said to him, going a bit faster, but keeping up with him. She breathed slowly and deeply as she ran. Keeping a steady pace. Which was slow for her, but it still got the job done. "So what do you want for breakfast?" Ava asked him. She needed to know if she should stop and get something if need be.
Darrien sighed. "You can be mean sometimes, dear Ava." He paced with her. "Whatever you want to fix me." He smiles again.
Kiske woke up with a start and sat upright in his bed. Groaning, he ran his right palm down the side of his face, then rubbed his eye's with his thumb and forefinger. He stood up from the bed, looking over himself and remembering that he had slept fully clothed, wearing the clothing from the previous nights' concert,"First things first, a shower." He began heading towards his bathroom, taking off his clothes as he got he closer. By the time he was inside the bathroom, there was a line of clothes going from his bed to bathroom.
It took him a matter of minutes to take a shower, so when he was done he came back into his bedroom wearing only a towel. Kiske headed over to his closet and began looking through his various clothing, pulling out a tight black jacket with a purple stripe going down the left side of it, a white t-shirt, black pants with a purple stripe to match the jacket, and black and white running shoes. Once he was dressed, he left the room and began heading towards the elevator, but quickly remember he forgot his cell phone. Kiske ran back to grab it and once it was in his pocket, he went back to the elevator. |
"Well its true Deary. Don't worry, I'll change that." Ava said with a small smirk as she got a bit faster. He was keeping up with her very well already. Though when she heard his idea for breakfast, she nodded. "Raw eggs and cream cheese it is then!" Ava said laughing a bit. Something then hit her, Kiske was due back last night or early today. "Kiske is supposed to be back soon."
"Raw eggs I can deal with but if you feed me cream cheese, Ava, so help me..." She remembered after he said that. "Ah, that kids not going to stay on stage then?" He smiles obviously joking. He actually liked Kiske. "Are you suggesting we head back already? I haven't really worked up a sweat yet."
Ava laughed at his response. "Pancakes then. With some bacon and coffee." Ava knew she had everything in her apartment for that combo. "Yeah, he went on tour for a little while, but no. we still have about ten minutes left of this."
"I like pancakes. He must've had fun. I gotta stop talking...now." His breathing was getting heavier but it wasn't bad. He just needed to stop talking in order to have enough breath to finish the run.
Ava laughed a bit as they came around to their halfway stretch. She started to slow down a bit. "You have to slow down. It's better for your body." Ava said to him. They ran into a jog into a walk until they finished. "Not too bad right?" Ava asked him, she was already breathing normally.
Darrien only had breath to growl at her. He shook his head like a dog, sweat flung everywhere. He managed to get his breath a second later. "I think your crazy. Take me swimming any day over this." He grins. "Didn't you promise breakfast?"
Ava laughed some more. "Maybe later we'll go swimming." After I need to work off the anger I'm probably going to get. Ava thought to herself as they crossed the street back towards the building. "I have to cook it first!" Ava told him. She was about to hit the elevator button when the doors swung open revealing Kiske on the other side. "Kiske!" Ava said to him. "Welcome home!"
Kiske stood in the elevator as it rose to the surface. When the doors opened, he was surprised to see Ava on the other side,"Ava! Thanks for the welcoming." He looked past Ava and saw Darrien,"Darrien, dude. What's up! How have you been?" He stepped out of the elevator as the door's began to shut on their own.
Darrien followed Ava and was about to speak when they ran into Kiske. He grinned. "Hey kiddo. I'm been pretty well actually, minus some things that have...recently come up. I'm sure Ava will fill you in. How was the tour this time?"
Ava smiled a bit, watching the small bromance in front of her unfold. "Just a few things yes." She said to him. She had forgotten all about it until then.
(Sorry I logged off so abruptly. It was 1 A.M. I didn't post earlier today because I had chores to do.)
Kiske gave Darrien a thumbs up,"The tour went great! You guys should follow me once in a while, I bet you'll have a lot of fun." He smiled widely and began rubbing the back of his head,"So, what did I miss while I was gone?" Since it was an open question, he looked back and forth between Ava and Darrien. |
Ava took a drink from her water bottle before crossing her arms behind her back and standing straight. "The new threat isn't humans attacking each other, its a war between heaven and hell. Earth being the middle ground." Ava explained. It seemed each time she mentioned it, it sounded even crazier.
Kiske let out a slight whimper,"Great, that mean's more lives are going to be a stake." He sighed before continuing on,"Any idea how to stop this? Or is it mostly a futile effort to stop, at least, a majority of them." Kiske yawned, making sure to cover his mouth,"Sorry, that concert last night took a lot outta me."
Ava shook her head. While stepping behind him to catch the elevator before it closed. "As of now.. No. I'm going to speak with the high ups in a little while over the subject." She told him, holding it open. She saw him yawning, but knew why right away. "That's alright. Maybe you should get some more sleep."
Darrien smiled a tiny bit and went into the elevator as Ava held it open. "You should get some sleep. I don't doubt we'll all need it soon. And as for your playing, I'll probably come to one when I have the time...and I'm off work of course. You usually play when I'm working."
Kiske nodded,"Yeah, I guess you guys are right. I could use a bit more sleep." He yawned once more and turned around, to look back at the elevator. He walked past Ava and back into the elevator,"Quick question," he pulled out his cell phone,"while I'm asleep, who's going to take over this?" Kiske cocked an eyebrow in question.
"Kiske, you should know that is still your job. I'll take it this time, but next time sleep longer." Ava said taking his phone and putting it in her pocket. She wasn't a fan of doing others work, unless they had a real reason. Kiske had been traveling, so that was fine with her for now. At least it was his private phone so she wouldn't get called by fans or business. Ava let go of the doors and pushed the button for their floor.
Darrien laughed. "Ah, nobody. Ava, give it back to him. You just have to wake up and react as fast as you can, Kiske. We all have to. I've gone through that one about twice so far. Let me tell you, waking up first thing to a txt with five minutes left...not a pretty picture. Ava's had to do it a couple times too. I'm sure about any of the others though. Kiona likely has as well?" He turned to Ava, questioning if this was true.
Ava laughed a bit. "And you say I'm mean." She said handing it back to the singer. Though it was rare he would get a text while sleeping. Unless he was the only one in the area, or everyone else was sleeping. But even if it was everyone else, Ava, Darrien or Rae usually took those texts since they were the most experienced. Even whoever was texting them knew when was a bad time.
Darrien shrugged. He looked at Kiske. "I'm not trying to be mean. It's just something that you have to be prepared for...like everything else that happens. Though some things are....not something you can prepare for..." He leans against a wall. "Like demons."
Kiske groaned and took his phone back when Ava handed it to him,"Fine... But next time, the both of you come to my concert. I don't care if it's just one or you follow me on tour, but you have to come and stay the entire time." He smiled as he slipped his phone back into his pocket and waited for the elevator to start it's descent.
Darrien snorted. "Like I said, I may be able to, maybe not. Depends on if I'm working or not as usual. I do want to watch you sometime but that's if I can get off or whatever." He smiles a little and takes a drink of his water bottle. He leaned his head back against the wall. "This elevator ride always seems longer than it is."
