I have lived here for 18 years, never moved anywhere else..and barely go on vacations.

So Austin and San Antonio are my break and my home away from home. =P
Besides i love it there, always so many things to do and see.

I've driven through Texas once, on my way across the country. Good beef! We stopped in Amarillo at that ridiculous famous place.

Next time you make it to Austin, you should check out the Zilker Botanical Garden. It's free and gorgeous. They have a little water lily pond in the parking lot that gets tons of blue dragonflies ^.^.

@Seraphi: It's okay to dislike eating beef. I usually don't like steak, it's too tough. But I think we got grass-fed instead of corn-fed, and it's much tenderer (as well as healthier) when the cow has been grass-fed.

Another place you might check out is a bookstore called Book People. It's two stories, has a neat cafe inside, and has all sorts of cool stuff, like a barber chair to sit in on the second floor while you read.
