So, this cat that I'm sitting for is seriously underweight -- maybe six pounds when she should be eight or so. I've read that cats can get depressed, and that would make sense as this cat's owner is constantly away (I'm in fact cat-sitting for the subletter), and the other cat of the household died about a year ago. But... does anyone know of a treatment for a depressed, lonely, lethargic cat who won't eat?
