I've been working $7.25 jobs during the school year. I need at least $10 during the summer to cover my living expenses during the year since the rest of my work is crap. My summer job last year paid over $17 an hour (:drool:) so expecting that and then getting a call like "Sorry, you might not have a job at all, we'll call you when we know something" kinda stresses me out D:

I think I'm just now making about 10 an hour. I've been at this job for almost three years. But it's entry level, easy stuff. Just stressful on an emotional level. I hate customer service.

Julie- Lol, I was born on Fort Gordon and raised in augusta. I just hate it here and always have. :/ Maybe it is just where I live. :lol:
I am thankful for the magnet schools here though. Saved me from going to a certain horrible high school here. xD

I worked a help desk for IT... so frustrating.

The wage was better than food service though, so I dealt with it :/

@Vye That's just plain ridiculous. o.o Also a violation of contract, if there was anything written down (or even if not) saying you'd both get $15/hour. If the client had wanted to complain about you being a girl, they could've done it before you did all that work!

Plus that would being sexist and discriminating. xD He could get in trouble for that. xD

haha i think i know just what you are talking about i actually lived and went to school across the river but spent all my time in augusta like church and shopping etc.

Yeah that kind of attitude is so annoying. As if a girl/woman automatically can't do certain work.

@Kierys: Lol, that would have been interesting. xD I never met someone so sexist since my carpentry teacher! But he really pissed me off. My Dad tried to prove a point to him, but the guy said that he would call the police if my Dad continued to argue with him.

@Keyori: $17/hr? LUCKY. But that completely sucks about $7.25/hr. I use to get that when I worked at Tim Hortons 3 years ago. Gah. It was ridiculous! I also hate costumer service....some people have their heads so far up their behind it's sickening.

But, it was a legitimate internship for my field, so the pay was actually just about right for the industry.

And not having those wages when I was told two months ago that I would have been working by now is kinda irritating, to say the least D:
