ree, fleas not fun at all.
Fortunately, fleas are easy to treat. :)
All the cats are indoors, but with dad working on the house and leaving the doors open, they have gotten outside a few times. Mom said she has been wanting to put something on the carpets, but has not done it yet.
I wonder why there are fleas.
Any time you have a lot of rain, the fleas are triggered to hatch.
*is a former vet student* |
Ah, that's understandable. :3
Try to get something for your kitties soon. You don't even have to go to a vet--they sell the meds at pet stores. |
@ Granny - Me too. What is their "good" purpose. Makes you wonder about why there are some of these types of creatures on the planet.
Thank you, Steel.
But my question was more esoteric. I was wondering what the purpose of fleas is in an evolutionary sense. |
Um... to survive?
Probably same as the reason for mosquitoes: food for other things and hosts for other parasites.
Do fleas have parasites?
@ Steel - Aww, it has been raining a lot here. >_<
@ Siri - Definatley not enough money for a vet. |
We could use a bit of rain here in Texas.
-sends some rain your way-
Why did you get cats if you couldn't afford them? : /

Quote:
@ Siri - Cause they were free and we have enough money for the food and litter.
There's no such thing as a free cat/kitten! D:
What'll happen if there's an emergency? |

@ Siri - We say "Oh well" and "put it out of its missery" -bang-
Okay, that's just not funny.
Dang it. I just accidentally activated power hour.
@Siri: Bullets are considered a humane method of euthanasia for animals when chemical euthanasia is unavailable. You're even taught where to shoot in vet school. |
Thank you, Rose and Dragoness.
Steel, I am in Austin. We aren't exactly in drought, but our lawn could use some rain. |
@steel: Well, just chat with us now! I'm doing power hour too. x)
May I ask--how far into Vet School did you go? :) |
