i live in the boonies and have no car, so its really pretty much impossible for me to get a job, i have no transportation. i wish my town had a library i could work at, that would be a dream job. i would love to be a librarian some day ^^

When I get back into town, the first thing on my agenda is to go get apps.

I'm avoiding most restaurants/fast food joints because many of them take a cut out of your pay for meals... and I won't be able to eat most of that kind of food anyway (vegan).

Kitties are always our babies.

I used to work at a library. It was one of my favorite jobs.

@pigy: why dont you just do it. start applying to librarian jobs all over the place and then get public transportation to it? or hitch a ride from a friend?

Neither my partner or I have been able to find any kind of work. It's starting to really get down to the line but we've exhausted all of the nearby resources in the local job market.

It's rather depressing.

I'm just trying to get a summer job in my town's tourist location.

You don't need a degree to get hired on as a librarian's technical assistant or a page. You only need a degree to be an actual librarian.
