Heh, better go deliver some sammiches.

You TOO!! Yay I'm not the only one!~

Poke'Bro 05-29-2010 12:15 AM

The actual college

Lunettes de Soleil 05-29-2010 12:16 AM

Oh the jetsons. <3
I was more of a flinstones girl. :3

I'm in college now for fashion, we have some art corses.
I love them.

Quantum Angel 05-29-2010 12:16 AM

Hello everyone! I'm back from work.
*starts handing out...rather mysterious-looking sandwiches* ...what? My father taught me how to make them. We've already been over this, he's from another planet. They are safe for human consumption though. Also quite tasty.

Crown: I thought the same.

Poke'Bro 05-29-2010 12:16 AM

I'm in a community college going for a buissness degree. Four years and if I work I won't need anymore loans :>

Kamarie~Logos 05-29-2010 12:17 AM

I knew a cell phone company called Sprocket, but I chose it because of the steel colored them although now that Crown mentions it, I think it was from the Jetsons.

Lunettes de Soleil 05-29-2010 12:17 AM

I hand out sandwiches for work too.
I'm a waitress. :P

Fantasia 05-29-2010 12:18 AM

If I hang around nude people...
Lmao....
No where near college xD

Well I wouldn't just go by the book. It would be more so just something I could look at from time to time to maybe pick up some help if I am having trouble figuring out how to draw something.

Well, I'm gonna head out for a wile. See yall when I get back hopefully!

CrownofEblan 05-29-2010 12:18 AM

Ah, Poke'Bro, I feel much better. We 'Spacely's' need to stick together Chibes, 'cause that's how we roll. XD

The Flinstone were mighty fine as well, Lunettes, though I never got how a Snorkasaurus who could talk suddently lost the ability.

On the topic of art colleges. Would going to SCAD for an animation degree be a waste of money? or worth my while? Just curious, is all.

Ode 05-29-2010 12:18 AM

Hmm...not familiar with them. Not sure how that works....aren't there several "art institutes" all over the country?

--

Good luck with that, Poke. I decided to follow what I loved...creative writing. Just got my BFA and now going to grad school for my MFA in POETRY...yeah, if I don't find a teaching gig or something in publishing afterward, I'm screwed, haha. But I love it.

Bye Fantasia~~

Quantum Angel 05-29-2010 12:20 AM

Oh, I don't hand out sandwiches for work - I just returned from work.
At this moment I work at the local library, though I probably will not be keeping this job for much longer. This department of the county is so terribly organized and unprofessional...it is a nightmare.

Lunettes de Soleil 05-29-2010 12:20 AM

An animation degree would be so cool.
Probably more useful than a fashion degree.

CrownofEblan 05-29-2010 12:20 AM

I feel inspired to go make a Spacely Sprocket/TEam Sprocket banner now. Off to Photobucket! (still be hanging around here, though. Ah, the glories of tabbed browsers.)

Heh, I shopuld probably get the fashion degree, since me sense of fashion amounts to "Oh look, free t-shirt on top of drawer, oh look, clean jeans. Awesome!" with the ocassional multi-cam mixed in. XD

Ode 05-29-2010 12:20 AM

SCAD is a great art school. Not sure about their individual programs, though. My fiance's brother went there...before he decided to be a nurse, haha. But seems like a great school for art. Don't think any education would be a waste if you work hard at it.

Poke'Bro 05-29-2010 12:21 AM

I dunno crown...I dunno
Yeah, my guy got his degree in comp programming and loves his job, I just want to keep a job. This economy sxors

Lunettes de Soleil 05-29-2010 12:21 AM

Amani - Yeah, I understood they were two separate thoughts. :]

Crown: I've heard other say the same

Oh my god, me too. Worst mistake of my life. I did it for a few months and got out.
I just found the whole thing a bit sketchy, and I was really doing all the work by myself. No one was really teaching anyone.

Ode 05-29-2010 12:22 AM

I plan on getting ANY job I can find once I move in a few days.

Oye...I don't want to be reminded, actually...much prefer hanging out all day on Mene, haha.

Poke'Bro 05-29-2010 12:22 AM

Well unless you go to the AI where only the very top can get decent work and everyone else graduates 100,000 dollars in debt and can only get about 1000 from their degree every couple of months and have to keep another part time job

----------

I got out almost a year in, 20,000 is payable over time and I'm only 19

true, true.. I meant a good education, haha.

Forsaken Eyes 05-29-2010 12:24 AM

hello all :)

Poke'Bro 05-29-2010 12:24 AM

Well, portland community college now for Poke'bro

Lunettes de Soleil 05-29-2010 12:24 AM

I don't have any debt after my first year.
though after my second year I surely will.

Ode 05-29-2010 12:24 AM

that should serve you better than AI!

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-29-2010 12:25 AM
