Well, very specifically, there is a running joke that I am half Vulcan.

My father was adopted. The one person who knew who his biological parents were died a few years ago.
He and I both have pointier ears than most and slightly green skin.
His natural emotions are violent and unpredictable. He controls them well, most of the time.
He and I are both far stronger than we look like we should be. He has more "hidden" strength than me, perhaps because his strength is not diluted?
We both need quite some time to adjust to foods we are not used to - one Vulcan weak spot is the stomach.
His health is in a very...interesting place. Almost indicative of copper-based blood. The fact that he avoids doctors like the plague is interesting as well.
I frequently read anemic on tests. However, I have never actually had my blood type checked.
I have a degree of control over my mind that is rarely seen outside of Vulcans.
Finally...I live in a family of Trekkies (how else would we have pulled all these items together?). The joke was inevitable.

I am also a Trekkie and that's.. certainly curious. One question though [somewhat unrelated] do you think you have to choose between ' Trek and ' Wars?

Well, I'm back. My second power hour is about to start, then after that I'll just be collecting again.

Sorry, but I'm not really into either star wars ot Trek, although I do want to see the Trek movie because it has Zachary Quinto in it.

I do not believe it needs to be a choice. Fandom wars are rather pointless in my opinion. You can like one, you can like the other, you can like both, and your opinion is not anyone's problem but your own. In fact, it is not a problem at all unless you dislike something so strongly it causes you to fall into fits to hear about it - and in that case, your problems probably run a bit deeper than opinion.
It has been quite some time since I have watched the trilogy, though. I just don't get time to watch movies very often. Haven't seen the prequels, and am a bit torn as to whether or not I really want to. Undoubtedly someday, but how urgently?

Well, The Star Trek trailer did look kind of cool, and I do have this sort of celebrity crush on Zachary Quitno, and I know I'm not the only one. There are a lot of girls posting comments like " you're so hot" on his social networking pages, which is so uncool in my opinion, but whatever. I used to like these kind of shows when I was younger, but now I find that my interests have changed quite a bit since then.

The recent Star Trek movie was...most interesting. It played with a lot of interesting concepts, and though there was some significant degree of character derailment, it all made PERFECT SENSE once given some thought.
I still prefer the original cast, but I will not deny that the recent movie was very impressive.

There was a special event here when the movie came to my town - apparently, Gene Roddenberry's son comes here fairly regularly to go diving. Someone recognized him, and...something quite spectacular was arranged. I will not soon forget it.

*pops in* I have never seen anything Star Trek...

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I never met any celebrities myself, and I'm ok with that. But it would be nice to have something bragworthy.

uhhh...No, just a "big move," like I said, hehe. Moving from one state to another...packing the last four years of my life up. Hard thing to get that stuff together, especially when one is sick.

Uggg...damn this cold! Had a migraine for 12 hours today. Just got rid of it but feeling a little discombobulated.

I hate it when I get a cold, even though i supposedly sound more mature when I do. Oh well, I guess there's really nothing I can do about my childish voice.

Really, I sound like a child. With my nose stuffed up I say "Twimmy, gewt mwe a tissehw." And my fiance laughs and tells me I sound like a baby.

It's because my throat gets a little scratchy from the coughing.

No coughing really yet (hopefully it just won't happen). Pleeeenty of sneezing. I plan to have a nice relaxing day curling up on the bed with some treats and some orange juice and watching a movie...can't decide which yet. Either Pride and Prejudice or The Watchmen. Haha, two very different flicks, I have to see what mood I'm in.
