when we last had a cat, she was so small when we got her I could hold her in one hand--I taught her a trick too--I'd hold her in one hand and waggle the fingers of my other hand at her so she'd bat at them :P I also taught her how to climb me :D
Yeah, definitely would rather have mice than roaches. Mice at least are fairly cute. Roaches, ugly as hell :|

Kamarie~Logos 05-31-2010 11:31 PM

You shouldn't have to worry about roaches if you keep you're space cleaned and you live in an apartment that gets regular pest control visits.

pumibel 05-31-2010 11:31 PM

i didnt see roaches in California ever -loved that about it, but I saw tarantulas and potato bugs. Only 2 terantulas, and both were dead. THe potato bugs were horifying

we have Palmetto bugs- big ass roaches, and they dont care if your house is clean- they like the damp. After Katrina they migrated up this way

Quantum Angel 05-31-2010 11:32 PM

I actually like mice, usually. Cockroaches are the pests that bother me. They are...quite irritating. It does not make things more pleasant when I find them crawling on me every single time they appear in the house, as if they are just attracted to me...curious about me...
I do not mind things that are curious about me, but I wish that insect-type things would stay off me. >_<

zovilove 05-31-2010 11:32 PM

I dont have cats or mice, i just have a dog. She doesnt do anything but chase squirrels though, she never actually catches the squirrel.

pumibel 05-31-2010 11:33 PM

oh I have had them on me too. I thought I would have to be committed

zovilove 05-31-2010 11:34 PM

I have been to California a lot of times, and I havent really seen any potato bugs except for like once

Dottie Mae Evans 05-31-2010 11:34 PM

Hm... four more minutes till my power hour is over. Hm... I had cats, one died, so we got two more. Then we had to give them away. I am sure they lived out their old age in a nice home. :D

Edit: EW! Roaches! I dislike those things! They are so disgusting and horrible. I wouldn't live with any bug, but sometimes I have no choice. :( All I can do is scream, "AH! ROACH!" :P

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-31-2010 11:35 PM

We got rid of the roaches in the trailer only to be invaded by ants. And now we've got woodroaches trying to invade too.
Hopefully the mouse takes care of them before he dies.
You know roaches will clean themselves for two hours after making contact with a human? Like WE'RE the dirty ones?
The only bug I can't stand to have on me is ticks. I will go into hysterics after finding one on me.

Claudia 05-31-2010 11:35 PM

I hear people spray their homes for black widow spiders in CA. Yeah cockroaches really like water. A dripping faucet will attract them more then anything I read.

Kamarie~Logos 05-31-2010 11:36 PM

Well, it took me about 2.5 min. to use all my flowers.

zovilove 05-31-2010 11:37 PM

I CANT STAND COCKROACHES!! THEY DONT DIE! My cousin cut one up once and it did not die.....

That's because evil never dies.

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-31-2010 11:38 PM

Cockroaches have no brain, they're actually just bundles of nerves.
They also have no DNA, which is why they'd survive a nuclear holocaust.
Little bastards.

zovilove 05-31-2010 11:38 PM

true, they just keep coming back... like the joker in batman

Claudia 05-31-2010 11:38 PM

No DNA?...I didn't know that. So they seem a bit plant like( I mean over the no brain part).

Kamarie~Logos 05-31-2010 11:39 PM

Well, my power hour is officially over.

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-31-2010 11:39 PM

lol
My brother and I caught a wolf spider and tried to feed a roach to it. The spider didn't do ANYTHING. I swear roaches must use some kind of hypnosis to keep spiders from eating them.

Quantum Angel 05-31-2010 11:39 PM

Cockroaches are amazing creatures - it is a shame they are so creepy.

Kamarie~Logos 05-31-2010 11:39 PM

Maybe the spider had indegestion.

Claudia 05-31-2010 11:40 PM

It's too bad with all the extinctions going on caused by people, that people couldn
't make a critter like a cockroach extinct.

pumibel 05-31-2010 11:40 PM

i hurt myself over a year ago trying to kill one. I was freaking out, so I sprayed it with Raid, then it kept crawling and I stomped, slipped on the Raid, and I was in bed for a few days trying to recover- I hit the floor HARD

zovilove 05-31-2010 11:40 PM

One time when i was little, we went to Mexico, and my dad caught a cockroach, or some bug, and he threw it at some bats.... the cockroach died i think

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-31-2010 11:40 PM

I can't stand spiders either though. It's the way they MOVE... and look... and eat. BLEGH.
OR the roach made a deal wtih him when we weren't watching.

pumibel 05-31-2010 11:41 PM

i bet the bat thought it was tasty
