I work in my local library, doing the work of an assistant, even though on paper, I am a page.
Meaning I get paid upwards of $5 per hour less than I am earning. Actually, to be entirely honest I do not know the exact amount I should be making - all I know is that it is a lot more than they're paying me for the work I do. I have been doing this for a year and a half now. The county is hell-bent on keeping it this way. If I make any more of a fuss, I may be fired. I suppose that is a chance I'll have to take. Ooh, strep...that is never fun. >_< |
my neighbor's kid had it and he came over to play with my daughter. She told him to go home, lol. GO figure- his parents let him go out and run around, but another kid has the sense to send him back until he gets better.

It's rather sad when children often have better sense than their parents. I see things like that very frequently here.

sometimes sinus drainage can cause a really sore throat too, though. It is best to get that throat culture done, just in case. You need antibiotics for strep. I had strep many years ago- I was 22 or 23 and it was the first time I had ever had it. It was so bad the military docs put me on bed rest for a whole week. You usually have to lose a limb to get out of work for that long. I havent had it since, but I will never forget it!

Amani- he is a high strung kid and I think they just like to get him out of thier hair. It is stupid to let you kid possibly spread the stuff, and maybe get worse by not getting any rest. I think on that day he had not been on his antibiotic for even 12 hours yet- just got back from the doc. Audrey didn't play with him for a few days, but he was outside every day running and playing. |

Fantasia- just go in and get a throat swab done. I bet a triage nurse can do it if your doctor is too busy. That way they can call in the medicine if you need it.
