That is true, Doom, but being able to take care of a pet is the first step.

zigbigadorlube 06-03-2010 06:11 PM

Yeah, I'd rather stick with pets. Still, it's fine to tickle babies. I like the way they squirm when you do. ^_^

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:11 PM

Well, that's true I suppose. If you can't keep a guinea pig alive, for goodness' sake don't have a baby. xD

Sovie Kays 06-03-2010 06:12 PM

Truthfully, babies scare me and the idea of ever having one is truly terrifying for me.

zigbigadorlube 06-03-2010 06:13 PM

Well it is scary to know that you're completely responsible for them. It's so easy for a baby to get hurt if you're not watching them constantly. >.<

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:13 PM

The pregnancy thing creeps me out a little.

Just a bit too Alien-esque for little Doomfishy. xD

Sovie Kays 06-03-2010 06:19 PM

Ewww pregnancy.. -makes a fish face-

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:21 PM

LOL. Fish face?

Sovie Kays 06-03-2010 06:22 PM

Yes. A fish face. ^_^

zigbigadorlube 06-03-2010 06:23 PM

That's a very odd response to pregnancy. >.< I don't think fish when I think pregnancy. T_T

Sovie Kays 06-03-2010 06:25 PM

I feel it conveys my emotions very nicely.

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:25 PM

If I got pregnant, I would NOT respond well.

I'm currently trying to find a doctor that (A) will give me an IUD, and (B) won't charge me an arm and a leg for it.

Sovie Kays 06-03-2010 06:26 PM

IUD? @[email protected]

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:27 PM

Intra-uterine device.

Basically, the best birth control over.

Lasts up to ten years without any fiddling or extra work. ^^

GrannyJ 06-03-2010 06:28 PM

I never had any children, so I cannot comment on the joys of raising a child. :)
However, my step daughter did move in with us when she was 13.

I can certainly comment on raising a child who is 13, but thinks she should be treated like she is 35.

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:29 PM

Ha!

My mum just remarried in January - her husband has a seventeen year old. It's been... rough for her. xD

Sovie Kays 06-03-2010 06:29 PM

Ohh. Other than abstinence, you mean? ^_-

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:30 PM

Perhaps. But abstinence is just not happening. ;) ESPECIALLY for the next ten years!

Yeah 06-03-2010 06:30 PM

Hi everyone! How are you all?

I've had a busy day today and, it's not over yet. I took my daughter to see an adviser at the college she's going to attend, that took forever. I had to work this morning before that, last day of school!!!! We have graduation tonight and, of course, I have to feed my son and me some time in between that. I was hoping to be around a little more today but, life is calling.

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:31 PM

Bah, life. xD

Sovie Kays 06-03-2010 06:31 PM

Life gets in the way of.. life..

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:34 PM

Indeed. xD

My huge to-do list is definitely getting in the way. -.-;;

Elmira Swift 06-03-2010 06:38 PM

I was able to put my son down for a nap. Am watching the latest Wolfman movie - so full of gorey goodness!

Doomfishy 06-03-2010 06:39 PM

Ooh, I wanted to see that.

Glad your son cooperated. xD

Elmira Swift 06-03-2010 06:41 PM

It's pretty cool. Horror with a bit of a Shakespearean vibe to it - the tragic, wow-your-family-is-nuts - variety of Shakespeare.

I was 33 when I had my daughter and 43 when I had my son. AND I'm now taking grad classes again. Now, I'm not on drugs.
