Hi Granny!

Strabucks is tasty, but it's overrated. I just like it because unlike the two other coffee shops in my area, the coffee isn't burnt all the time.

now that is funny. all the starbucks I have been to not only burns the coffee they burn the hot chocolate... how in the world do you burn hot chocolate?

GrannyJ 06-04-2010 02:34 AM

I hope we can help you out, Dream.

Claudia 06-04-2010 02:35 AM

Burned hot cocoa?...Yuck!...I know because I've burnt it before.

Dream_and_Die 06-04-2010 02:35 AM

I love how every bit of money I've earned has gone to buying items in the event store. I usually don't spend this much on one event but the items are so nice. I'll have to save up quite a bit for the event.

How do you burn hot chocolate?

Thanks Granny! XD I'll help you back when you start yours!

*pokes her head in*

Lunna Dea 06-04-2010 02:35 AM

I do not know how they do it but they do.... I can taste it.

Claudia 06-04-2010 02:37 AM

By cooking the hot cocoa too long or too hot. That'll do it. Then sometimes you get this burnt skim part on top.
Easiest way to burn hot cocoa is too long in a mircowave.

Dream_and_Die 06-04-2010 02:39 AM

Silly drink maker... you fail. xD

Janus Shirato 06-04-2010 02:39 AM

Hi Guys. Diod I missed anything? BTW, If you are asking about the swing being attached to something,It attach to a flying Cloud...;)

Bound Birdie 06-04-2010 02:40 AM

ewww who would ruin hot coco like that, that filmy stuff is nasty

GrannyJ 06-04-2010 02:41 AM

It is actually very easy to scald hot cocoa.
That was in the days when you heated up the milk in a saucepan.

Nowadays you just pour a chocolate/milk powder into boiling water.

Dream_and_Die 06-04-2010 02:42 AM

. . . :makes it the old fashion way:
Melt chocolate into hot milk in a pot. ^_^

Claudia 06-04-2010 02:43 AM

I sometimes just buy chocolate soy drink and heat it up. Problem is chocolate soy is often more sweet then when I prepare hot cocoa myself.
( And this talk of hot cocoa is making me want some)

Bound Birdie 06-04-2010 02:44 AM

Indeed. I like melting in a chocolate bar and some mint into milk >.< That's the best but it takes a min

Starbucks on the east side seems to burn their coffee and hot coco. they dont know how to make it right. Seattle's Best dose it better.

zigbigadorlube 06-04-2010 02:45 AM

Interesting conversation to come back to. I like hot coco, it's one of the only drinks I like warm. ^^;

GrannyJ 06-04-2010 02:45 AM

I love a cup of hot chocolate with a dollop of Kahluha in it.

Claudia 06-04-2010 02:45 AM

I've been wanting to try and flavor my hot cocoa, I have these extracts made for baking.
I only wish it wasn't so hard to find vegan hot cocoa mixes. Even the fair trade hot cocoas sold at my Unitarian are non vegan.

zigbigadorlube 06-04-2010 02:46 AM

I like putting creamer in mine sometimes with a drop of coffee to give it a bit of different flavor. They also make flavored hot coco, like french vanilla, mint, etc.

GrannyJ 06-04-2010 02:47 AM

I have tried some of the hot chocolate flavors, but I don't care for them as much as my Kahluha hot chocolate.

zigbigadorlube 06-04-2010 02:48 AM

OMG. That sounds soooo Good. O . o I'll have to remember to pick up a bottle of kahlua sometime. ^_^

Dream_and_Die 06-04-2010 02:48 AM

Now I want hot coco really bad, but it's too hot. T_T

Claudia 06-04-2010 02:48 AM

Yeah , problem is these hot cocoas often contain hydrogenated fats. Which I am trying to avoid.
The other day I wanted to buy something from Aldis that they had on their sales flyer the week before, go and find it has hydrogenated fats in to.

GrannyJ 06-04-2010 02:48 AM

Yes, Dream, I agree. It's too warm for hot chocolate right now.

Dream_and_Die 06-04-2010 02:49 AM

Darn you summer heat! :shakes fist:
