Thanks. I'll read it when I have time, haha. XD

Hyena- if you don't want kids don't have them. Your moms dreams can be fulfilled later, don't force her dreams upon yourself. You won't be the type of parent you should be if you aren't ready/don't fully want them just because she does. :3
MagicJaz- yup, I'm a surrogate. (: |
We-ell... seein' as me having a kid with my current girlfriend is either expensive or impossible, I think I'll certainly wait until we're at least out of the "landlord's gonna evict us" phase of our lives. xD
|
xD That's a good thing to wait for.
|
Also the "let's get a puppy!" phase of our lives.
|
I want a puppy. T-T
|
Joel is getting a pit bull. I doubt his ability to take care of it in an apartment on the fourth floor, but as long as I don't have to do the cleaning up after it, I have no objections.
|
xD My phase was "lets get a kitty" lots of fun.
|
I want a husky when I move out. o 3o Beautiful dogs. <3
|
We're also in that phase. We're like.. all in the middle of six diferent phases: lets get a kitty, lets have a puppy, lets graduate from college, lets live with five other people, lets not move out of a state that won't let us get married, lets not have jobs...
|
xD The parents of this baby are waiting for their state to allow them to get married finally. Here's hoping it's allowed soon!
|
'dawwww. >w<
That's so cuuuuuuute. <3 I figure... if Iowa allows it, Indiana can't be far behind. |
They're waiting for New York to allow it. >.<
It shocks me so much that states have NOT allowed it. :/ It seems like an assault to their personal rights. |
Well, America is a big country, with lots of people who have their own opinions about what is actually written in the constitution. It only stands to reason that people would argue over it. And Americans as a whole are very firm in their beliefs, or at least very loud about them.
The best that I can do is wait. And if I cannot wait, I will move to Vermont. I hear its lovely there. |
I know, it just seems that over something that doesn't hurt anyone the states wouldn't make a big deal. And yet, it's one of those "hot issues" and I don't think it really should be. What people do with each other so long as both consent is their own business. I wouldn't want someone telling me that I couldn't marry my husband just because his religion and mine don't match up. I'm not going to allow the Bible to tell me who to love, and people shouldn't impose their views on other when it's not hurting anyone!!

Bingo!
I love my dad. One of his friends from work admitted that he was gay just so that it wasn't a huge shock when he comes to a party with his SO. My dad looks at him for about thirty seconds and goes "So where did you meet him?" and they continue on with conversation about social groups and where he met my mom and the like. Awesome. His perspective, and I think its a pretty good one: When you're gay, you're gay all the time. It doesn't change anything about the person you met before you knew. The part about homosexual relationships that makes people so hot and bothered is something that you only do in your own home, with someone you love, and no one has to know a damn thing about it. The only thing that he doesn't like about gay people is the same thing about people who flaunt their sexual life in general. He doesn't care if you're straight or otherwise: he doesn't want to hear what you did last night. |
I also have a problem with the double standard that a lot of men hold, that lesbians are totally hot, and that gay men are completely gross. It makes no sense to me. Granted, I know a lot of lesbians as my hubbys mom is a lesbian...and being at their parties...well lets just say I wouldn't want to see any of them making out, much less would I find it a "total turn on" >.< xD
|
Yeeeeeah. That gets my goat. A lot.
Granted, my conditioned response to two women holding hands is "d'awww." Same for men, now that I think of it. Depending on the two involved, its either "awww" or "hawt." >> Come to think of it, that's usually people's response to me and Liz. >> <3 Buuuut anyway, as hunger eats away at my cognition and I lower myself further into the depths of insanity... There's also, and I think this is weird as hell, something like that amongst a surprising number of yaoi fangirls. They can be the most righteous homophobes. Its like... its okay if the boys kissing are on paper or animated, but if the boys are real (even if they're attractive) its like day and night. Weirds me out. >> |
POWER HOUR!!!!! hoping i can get lots done ;) are there people around?
---------- side note: i'm actually working a booth at our motor city pride fest on sunday. I'm so excited to see everyone being able to be themselves and hold hands with the one they love without having to be worried someone's gonna berate them. seriously lgbt rights is one of the things i'm most passionate about irl. ignorance and homophobia annoys me. |
*pokes her head back in*
Anyone around? |
