There are only the 4 event rares yes, but there are also 6 profession tools that are now available in your Build link under [InsertTeamsName] HQ 3 items per team. Hammer, shovel and wrench.

if not, you may want to. Also, if you have a ton more of one "tool", you may consider swapping your secondary profession (and activate power hour) to take advantage of turning them in... |
There was a notice up last night asking people how the staff should get out the event tools, and when I logged on this morning I checked the announcements and found what had been decided. (: So last night sometime.
I hear at some point the site was borked beyond belief and went down for a while, but I wasn't around. xD I'm happy they're out though! I've managed to get like 5 sets of them now. >.> |
Yes, it was down for a bit last night (11pm-ish EST). I didn't stick around for the resolution to that but am glad to see it running again now.

I did power hour this morning when I logged on and saw that we were using seeds for the event tools. Used up all my wrenches and flowers, then switched professions and used up all my gears. The gears were a bit of a waste since the saboteurs of Sprocket were attacking like mad still, but eh, I got what I needed. xD |
Yeah - I just used up all of my things too, Mel but it didn't make a difference towards the Gasket machines... I couldn't get the HP over 20, no matter how hard I tried and my sabotage attempts were futile. (Sprocket is *wailing* on us!!) But, like you said - got what I needed. Now to decide to get another set of EIs or to convert the seeds to tickets and get more commons! :XD

I'm down to 1 seed. xD I used them all up on rares. lol. I completely forgot about changing seeds into tickets. But I think I have everything I wanted from the event store anyway. >.> I should take one more look through it to make sure. xD

I like a lot of the items in the store this time around (not sure why, but I can see where they'd be useful the way I dress my av, I guess) and since I'm still feeling like my Mene wardrobe is lacking (and I don't see any real value increase in the EIs - ever!), it seems that that's where I've been using my event currency the most. But I do like to have an extra set of EIs to help somebody out who may not have been able to be at the event too... decisions, decisions... Lol!

lol, I have 7 extra sets of event rares, another 5 extra sets of the profession tools. But since I already bought the event store items I wanted with gold, I didn't really need to use tickets.
And I don't seem to actually be questing anything other than gold for events, so I have nothing else to spend my gold on >.> I have a bunch of random extra event items on my mule. It's what the poor girl is used for. I haven't checked out the prices recently of any of the items on the site though. xD |
Yeah see... I never seem to have gold here. So I end up having to use the event currency if I want anything from the store. But it doesn't usually give me extra sets of the EIs (although I do try to get two sets)

Common updates are the only time I use gold. I contribute real money to the site for CI's, and Ei's I'm normally on to get. So if I get bored during the day and play some games, and chat for a while, I get a good bit of gold that I'll send over to my mule and forget about.

And that's a great way to do it if you're here all the time. I, however, am not and it seems that playing games just takes too long to make the gold I'd like to have to spend on the items...

xD I have no other avatar sites to worry about. >.> I've pretty much abandoned the other ones I had joined previously. I even sort of abandoned Mene since I left staff a while ago too. I thought about joining back once classes were over, but I think I'm going to wait until after the baby is born. <3 Give me some more "me time" and less stress about mene time.
