Well it's my major so I'm trying to get a job relating to French. Interpretation would be what I really want but right now I'm going for just about anything just to get some experience to start out with. >.<

ainebella 06-02-2010 04:14 AM

zig: i sees

Kaema 06-02-2010 04:15 AM

bella: Yeah, you gotta get used to them... XD
zig: That's the thing about learning a language...it's so easy to forget! Well, I guess if you get really used to them you wouldn't forget.

ainebella 06-02-2010 04:16 AM

kae: it took me four years to realize what the others say dont matter anymore

zigbigadorlube 06-02-2010 04:17 AM

Even native speakers of a language can begin to forget if they don't use it for long enough... You forget, little by little every day you don't do something with a certain subject.

Kaema 06-02-2010 04:20 AM

bella: I'm still getting used to that. @[email protected]
zig: So it would be really hard to learn several languages...not just the actual learning, but keeping them too!

ainebella 06-02-2010 04:20 AM

kae: so am but somedays i really dont care

Kaema 06-02-2010 04:21 AM

haha, I wish I could be like that! Just not care what people think. : D

zigbigadorlube 06-02-2010 04:22 AM

Yeah, I learned French and German but I haven't been working on my German. I know that I'm going to forget it but it's hard to keep track of both of them. It's easier to learn another language once you have the others down pat. So you have to be really well established in the other ones before being able to add another one on top and be able to retain it.

Kaema 06-02-2010 04:24 AM

I took Spanish 1 this year, but I decided I wanted to learn French more, so I probably won't remember anything from Spanish.

[fox girl] 06-02-2010 04:24 AM

Spanish and French are pretty similar, so you might remember some. P:

ainebella 06-02-2010 04:25 AM

i had to lurn french but never really cought on to it

[fox girl] 06-02-2010 04:26 AM

The only thing I'm not too good with in French is pronouncing. T-T I need to work on that...

Kaema 06-02-2010 04:26 AM

I'm not too good with pronouncing French either. o.o Although I haven't really studied it much yet... xD

[fox girl] 06-02-2010 04:27 AM

I know like 95% of the language and have studied it for 6 years but I'm just not good at speaking. -.- Everything else is excellent though. XD Good thing I don't have an oral test at the end of the year.

zigbigadorlube 06-02-2010 04:28 AM

I'm good if I take things at a slower pace but I tend to try to speak quickly so sometimes I get ahead of myself. ^^;

[fox girl] 06-02-2010 04:28 AM

Me too, zig. A lot of the time I'd be talking then I'd have to stop and think because people are looking at me like: WTF?

Kaema 06-02-2010 04:30 AM

I think I get that way with English sometimes.

zigbigadorlube 06-02-2010 04:31 AM

Oh, I'm always comprehensible, I just kinda skip over unimportant syllables sometimes. >.<

[fox girl] 06-02-2010 04:31 AM

It's only with English. With French I need to carefully construct my sentence in my head before speaking. >_<

ainebella 06-02-2010 04:32 AM

fox: me knows two words in french

zigbigadorlube 06-02-2010 04:32 AM

Which two words would those be?

[fox girl] 06-02-2010 04:32 AM

And what words are those? XD

ainebella 06-02-2010 04:37 AM

hello and thank you

[fox girl] 06-02-2010 04:40 AM
