I've had a soft pretzel once that I remember....in NYC. it was too salty.
|
Generally, I feel that the large pretzels do not have enough salt on them!
I tend to like things very salty! |
bleck, I do not like salt!
|
I have heard chefs say that salt is required for taste.
If there were no salt at all, then dishes would be difficult to make tasty. |
well, no salt is bad, but I don't like to be able to taste actual salt crystals in my food.
|
@Kat: Actually, you can generally get those large pretzels either with or without the salt. The pretzel bread that the hot ham&cheese sandwich I ate doesn't have any salt on it.
@GrannyJ: I try to shy away from salt. Got used to that when I used to go go to McDonald's quite often and would order the fries without salt to make sure I got a fresh batch. Besides, they tend to put way too much salt on their fries for my taste anyway. :XP |
I guess I just don't get pretzels often. I know they have them at the baseball park.
I miss fries..... |
Oh, Ecchi, I love McDonald's fries.
It must be because of the salt! |
@Kat: Ahh, well the pretzels at ball parks tend to be heavily salted anyway because a lot of people tend to drink beer there. When drinking beer, one tends to get a craving for salt, so it's a gimmick to get the beer drinkers to spend even more money then they tend to spend on the beer alone. ;)
@GrannyJ: Either that or because they use burger grease to cook them. :P |
haha! I went to the game with my dad and he got so much bear!! he asked if I wanted to try some...which I didn't.
I prefer sonics fries. |
The Chik-Fil-A potatoe things are very good also.
Oh dear, I just love greasy things. That's really too bad for me. |
hm, I don't think I've had cfa fries in a while. I got a milkshake there the other day
|
@Kat: If it's from Sonic, I love their tater tots! 8D~ *nomomom*
@GrannyJ: I know what you mean, I should start cutting back on the greasy food, too. But, it just tastes SO good! It's like it's addicting or something. |
I normally do not get milkshakes at any of the fast food places.
One time however, when I had a tooth pulled, my husband brought back a strawberry and an chocolate shake from McDonalds. We put them in the freezer, and they were wonderful to eat with a spoon! |
I normally don't get drinks at all from fast food but lately me and wings have been getting milkshakes at cfa together.
strawberry and chocolate sound fantastic! |
I don't normally get drinks from fast food places either. But, if I get a milkshake, it has to be chocolate for me. :P
|
I like cookies n cream! oreos rock!
|
Meh, cookies and cream is typically too difficult to suck through a straw.
|
I thought it would be but the milkshake I had was plenty easy to drink. then of course I let it melt some....on accident you know.
|
Hmm, that's a good point. I typically try to drink my milkshakes (when I get them) as quickly as possible.
|
and get brain freeze?!
|
For some strange reason, I don't typically get brain freezes from milkshakes... I'm not sure why, though.
|
I get brain freeze from random things. I just hate when I'm rushed to eat cold things.
|
Meh, I tend to wolf down my meals really quickly anyway... Bad habit I picked up from high school lunch periods. And a habit that I never really dropped. :XP
|
did you not have enough time in high school? I remember having time to eat my food and steal from others.
