Just a hangout to chat in during the event for me and my friend Urboros. But anyone is welcome to come chat with us. :)

Sforzando 05-28-2010 02:20 AM

Hello. Can I chat with you? And what are you chatting about?

I only barely understand it. I think I have the hang of it now though. I think I'm the only one not sunburned yet LOL. I want to go to the beach (and not get sunburned).

Sforzando 05-28-2010 03:21 AM

I kind of understand it. But then again, I only kind of understand every event I've ever participated in.

Kearin 05-28-2010 04:06 AM

The event was only confusing at first, now it makes a lot more sense after playing it for a day or so. =333

Estrella 05-28-2010 04:56 AM

I can't wait for enough sun to GET a sunburn. *shakes fist at this horrible weather*

Hi. ;D

Sforzando 05-28-2010 04:58 AM

@Estrella: Agreed. We've been having a lot of rain here.

Urboros 05-28-2010 03:04 PM

We've got afternoon showers and the forecasters are warning about several swirling vortexes of doom headed our way :/

@vicki go to the beach in the later afternoon, that should help with the sun

katyasha 05-28-2010 03:17 PM

It's ok I hope to get all the items and other stuff before they are gone.

Urboros 05-28-2010 03:22 PM

do you mean the event store or the event items?
I should think the event items would be a bit easier to get. of course i have no idea where I keep getting these credits either.

Harley Q 05-28-2010 03:27 PM

If you're on Team Sprocket, then the credits you have/are getting are from our team winning the Mission.

You can get the EIs if you click Sprocket/Gasket HQ [on your toolbar] and then click Build at the very bottom, underneath the primary and secondary professions.

.. I hope that helps, possibly?

Scribbled Lore 05-28-2010 03:34 PM

Hey there!

I think the event was confusing at first but after six or so hours I got the hang out of it. I think my problem was that when I first found out about it it was really hot and humid where I live and that shut my brain off.

Harley Q 05-28-2010 03:40 PM

The event is a confusing one, but after you've played around in it for a little while, and talked to other people about the questions you have, you shouldn't really have difficulty.

That, and you should try to navigate your own way around before you have to ask other people about stuff; it's best, I find, to figure things out on your own.

Why do I have to have the awful power of thread-killing? D:

Scribbled Lore 05-28-2010 03:52 PM

I agree, in part, because if you have a question.. someone else has probably already asked it and there's no need to be repeating questions that have already been answered.

Urboros 05-28-2010 04:01 PM

well I found it strange, the requirements are a bit unusual. I did find it very overwhelming when I first logged on! :x I was thinking 'why mene do you need so much stuff?!'

I know it adds to the story line, but I like things straight to the point with no meandering plot.

you only killed it because I had nothing to really say, to add to your post :/

Harley Q 05-28-2010 04:03 PM

Yeah, it's bound to be overwhelming, but just.. soak in it a bit. Like in a pool ! The longer you're in there, the less you notice how frigidly cold it is.

'course eventually your mother will order you out of it because your lips are turning blue..

Scribbled Lore 05-28-2010 04:05 PM

Pfft, who cares about blue lips?

Urboros 05-28-2010 04:12 PM

lol my pool is not screened in and get full sunlight so its pretty warm.

I would have to compare the event to a new job, how they toss all the rules and thing at you at once, its a good learning experience. I do like what mene does for events, just takes me some time to figure it out; and the FAQ thread this time was more confusing to me.

Harley Q 05-28-2010 04:13 PM

God, that was possibly the worst FAQ ever. It was so confusing. Possibly the best advice I could give someone would be to not read it. >.>

All the glitches make it even more difficult because the event isn't like how it's supposed to be, and how it's described in the FAQ.

Scribbled Lore 05-28-2010 04:16 PM

Oh, ugh. First day on a new job is always really stressful. It's like, "Hey look! A book of procedures thicker than your torso! Learn 'em and I'll be back in half an hour to check on your progress!"

Harley Q 05-28-2010 04:17 PM

I guess I haven't had a lot of first days but my first day at the job I'm working at now was actually pretty great. ^^;

Scribbled Lore 05-28-2010 04:19 PM

There was one place I worked at where the person in charge of training me really did their job well and I'll admit that it was easier for them because I had held that kind of job before. Otherwise I've always ended up with people who were half-assed in their approach to training me and usually cut me loose the second day after they were tired of questions.
