D8 Poor Crazy.

crazymuch 06-09-2010 05:47 PM

I am almost out of sunflower seeds!! :(

I'm gonna be happy when today is over. I don't like busy days.

Flish 06-09-2010 05:50 PM

Busy days is overrated... Kinny is likely going to go to bed eeearly. >3>

crazymuch 06-09-2010 05:54 PM

gotta go. school just called. kid being super bad. be back as soon as I can.

Flish 06-09-2010 05:56 PM

Ok, see yous! D8 Take care!

crazymuch 06-09-2010 06:47 PM

I don't know what to do. I seriously don't know what to do. he only has 4 more days of school left ... next year he'll be in the 4th grade. as it is, he is BARELY at a 2nd grade learning status, refusing to learn or do the work. his teacher thinks since she can't seem to get him to learn, to just toss him into the general education next year and hope he learns some by just being around it. which he will. but that is super unfair to the rest of the class because he'll still be having his behavior issues.

I don't know what to suggest, she's outta ideas ... we haven't seemed to get him to learn anything this year except site words and time which he should have learned in the 2nd grade.

Flish 06-09-2010 06:57 PM

Hmm... How big is his school? Kinny has found that a neighbor kid near your kid's age improved drastically just by switching schools.

crazymuch 06-09-2010 07:03 PM

it's an average size school. it's a smallish town. he went to a school by our house last year and that was disastrous, the school he goes to now is about 15 minutes away.

today a boy in the class decided he was going to have a volatile bad day. so the teacher set him up with his own little area. well, Gavin wanted nothing more than to be right up in that kid's cheerios (so to speak). the teacher kept trying to separate them because they are both pretty volatile. finally it was recess and the teacher gave me son that space and made the other boy a new space. well, as soon as the boy came back, Gavin wanted the other boy's new space. so she tried to get Gavin out of there and that is when my son turned Edward Scissor Hands on her. I knew his finger nails were getting too long again ... at least he didn't try biting her this time ...

Flish 06-09-2010 07:14 PM

D8 Geezle! Sounds like he needs spanked.

crazymuch 06-09-2010 07:28 PM

yeah, but spanked doesn't accomplish anything. and I already have CPS down my neck about my housekeeping. that's all I need is for him or somebody else to say I've been spanking him ...

Enzeru 06-09-2010 07:36 PM

Bah, I'm not a parent but I don't think it's the government's business how a parent punishes their child unless they are breaking the law.

crazymuch 06-09-2010 07:38 PM

the laws on child punishment are so wacky! it's from all those psycho parents taking stuff to the limits so that the rest of us parents are pretty much weaponless ... I mean, the main reason why kids listen to us when we say no is that they know there are consequences. take away all of the consequences and what is their motivation?

I got scolded for sending my son to his room for 2 hours. they said that was extreme.

Flish 06-09-2010 07:40 PM

WTF, how is that extreme!? Kids are allowed to be babied too much. >.< It used to be that even foster kids could be spanked. Now the only punishment is grounding or juvie.

Enzeru 06-09-2010 07:40 PM

That is not extreme at all!
What state do you live in where they are that mental?

Naoto-chan22 06-09-2010 07:42 PM

Nao will spank her kid even if it means jail time,i got spanked as a kid and look how I am :3

crazymuch 06-09-2010 07:49 PM

I live in Washington state. they said because of his mental problems 2 hours is way too long.

and yes, he does get grounded. and he knows full good and well why he's grounded because I bring it up each day of the grounding to remind him of what he did.

I told him mental issue or not, he could have come to me and told me what was happening. he could have went and sat a ways away from everybody and calmed down. there were many things he could have done and he needs to remember to use those tools instead of just flying off the handle and thinking using something that happened an hour or more ago as an excuse to continue to be bad is not acceptable ... *sighs* it all just drains me emotionally.

Silenia 06-09-2010 07:51 PM

Hey everyone.

Flish 06-09-2010 07:52 PM

@Crazy: Understandable. Kinny's biological mom gives literal slaps to the wrist to one of Kinny's little brothers.

HI SIL.

Naoto-chan22 06-09-2010 08:01 PM

Hey Sil

crazymuch 06-09-2010 08:08 PM

heya Sil!

okay, my first appointment of the day lady should be showing up in 8 minutes ... and I wasn't able to get the kitchen floor done. meh. I can still get it done later though.

KatMagenta 06-09-2010 08:11 PM

I mopped our kitchen, but only quickly to clear up the dirty water that had gone on the floor while I was attempting to clean that. >.<

Flish 06-09-2010 08:20 PM

*snugs Crazy* Mew? owo *no idea*

crazymuch 06-09-2010 08:35 PM

meh, the one person I was worried about impressing with my clean-house-ness isn't coming until tomorrow now. so I guess I get to be on break for another 15 minutes. then it will be time to take my kid to the dentist. wish me well on doing that! he does NOT like doctors, especially the dentist.

Flish 06-09-2010 08:46 PM

Best of luck, brave woman. *salutes*

crazymuch 06-09-2010 09:33 PM

this appointment went so easy. it was lovely! I coerced him into going into the back, he got scared because he heard a drill. then I got him to open his mouth for the nurse. then he watched a few minutes of tv. then I got him to open his mouth for the dentist. and then, while I set him up with an appointment to take him back tomorrow so they can put him under and do all that needs doing, they gave him a pinwheel and he was thrilled! so I'm hoping tomorrow goes as well as today!

I had to explain to them his ADHD, Asperger's, fear of doctors, and fear of dentists. and the nurse who helped on my teeth surgery a couple weeks back knows all about Aspergers and the doc understands it, so we are all aboard!
