Wow. It's weird that the book would teach the wrong way xD
I tried to learn online, but ultimately, it was my gran who taught me. But she doesn't know very much either xD She makes scarves and dish clothes, which I feel are gross. Yarn isn't meant to get wet over and over again and my mom never throws them out and they SMELL. |
I know, right? Total fail. Thank goodness for online videos. XD
Well, it depends on the yarn that you're using. Usually dishcloths are knit up with cotton yarn, which is fine for getting wet and everything. O__O |
I still think they smell
-3- Do you crochet also, or only knit? |
Oh, was she using cotton yarn for those? Well, then... that sucks. D8 I didn't know they got smelly; I've never made them before, myself, because before a few weeks ago all I had to work with was cheap acrylic yarn.
I crochet, too. *Mai nods happily* |
I have a friend who crochets. She made me a squid plush while I was in the hospital
n_n I say stick away from the dish clothes xD |
Oooh, squid plush! 8D That sounds cute. Yeah, crochet is good for making cute plushes and such things. *Mai nods*
But... I want to try making them anyway, though. O__O;;; I know of a pattern for sushi dishcloth-thingies... Just one? XD |
Well. Maybe just one. But don't wash dishes with it over and over. And don't leave it out.
They smell. I swear. xD I need to take photos of George without me in them. |
Oh, is George your squid? 8D I had a fish named George. I don't remember what happened to him though. O__o;;; *Mai spouts random information*
|
... How can you not know what happened to your fish?!
All of the fish I have ever owned in my entire life - except for two - have been named after the characters in Lion King. Yes, George is my squid n_n |
I... just don't? XD I got him when I was in third grade, and I'm in college now, so... It has been a while. XD
Ahaha, that's fun. When I get guinea pigs like I want to, I am going to name the boy Edgar (after the Edgar in "Earl and Fairy\Hakushaku to Yousei") and the girl Kotoko (after Tohru's mom in "Fruits Basket," and Kotoko in "Itazura na KISS"). And I am going to spoil them rotten. * 3* |
I used to have hamsters.
Pumpkin and Spice and TICE (which was pronounced as tyke would be) |
I should be working on my crocheting.
|
Are you going to make me a squid, too?
=P |
D'awww, how cute. 8D Hamsters are adorable. But I think guinea pigs are more huggable. Maybe that's just me? 8P I had two when I was younger, but I wasn't very responsible then and didn't take very good care of them. >__>;;; Fortunately I'm more responsible now. 8P And I want guinea pigs to shower love upon! O___O
Hey there, Kirin. 8D What are you crocheting? |
Haha. I'm sure guinea pigs are more huggable, considering they're about ten times the size of a hamster xD
TICE was really mean. I cannot count the number of times I got bitten by him. And that's after I saved his life! |
D8 Ungrateful little bugger. It's no fun to be bitten... Fortunately I don't think I ever have been by a small animal, but I know their teeth are sharp! O__O;;
|
Haha. Yeah. Poor little fellow was certainly a fighter.
I've only been bitten by him and my cats, when we're playing. And bugs, but they're not cute. |
*flops around like a fish out of water*
|
/gets buckets of water
/tosses them on you /splash! |
Did I hear.. Did I just hear... 'spash!'?!?!
*screeches and runs away* |
No come back I miss you
/chases after /grabby tentacles |
*Mai chases after and makes grabby tentacles too, though she's not quite sure why*
|
Rainbows proposed to me last night, but I had to turn him down
:c |
O___O;;
Oh my. I did not know that. Should I stop chasing? |
Sorry I'm easily distracted.
