The "Anticipating The Results of the Event Contests" Thread I dunno about everybody else, but the waiting for the results of the contests is perhaps one of the most exciting parts of post-event Menewsha for me, so I'm making this thread so everybody who shares my feelings about it can hang out here and wait for the results to be announced. Also, because sometimes it's hard to find threads, once an announcement is made about a contest, I'll link it here in the first post so you don't have to go trawling for it.Because we loved the event and there were so many beautiful entries! To kick off chatter here in the thread, I'll pose a question to everyone. What events did you participate in and why did you join them? Contest Results! Menewshan Simmers Build-A-Phoenix-Jubilee Winners have been announced. Gallows & Inquisitions Winners have been announced. Brollies & Bric-a-Brac Winners have been announced. Stylin Steampunk Avatar Contest Winners have been announced. Fantastical Flora Winners have been announced. |
Um.... I think I entered Hammy's art thingy and Sizz/Daria's avatar thingy... and nothing else.

I participated in the flower/Steampunk avatar contests! And, um... I believe that was it? I honestly can't remember.
It doesn't help to make an event-specific thread for your thread regulars. :gonk: That occupied 99% of my time, easily. :rofl: |

I entered all three sections of the avatar contest, as well as Hangman (which if I've totalled it up right it looks like I've won! ^_^).
I enter the avatar contest every event because I'm really good at making MACs and I really love playing with the pixel dolls that our avatars are. I entered Hangman because....it's fun. xD All right, CK. Yeah, I'd rather keep this thread event contest themed. ^^; |

I only entered two of the avatar! I was a sabotuer and in the.... Flower one! IF I remember right. xD; *dislikes MAC by now* I usually have enough items in my invo to make a decent avatar. |

I participated in the avatar contest...steampunk/job ones. I've never won anything and I'm not too sure I'll win again, but I tried my best! Also the avatars I posted were all badly pixelated because I used MS Paint to save my avatars...I know nothing about technology! Haha. So I'm not sure I'll get anything. We'll see. I thought my engineer outfit was quite good. :P

I doubt them being pixelated would disqualify you, Ode. What matters is that you tried your best. *snuggles* And you're definitely right, Ayumi. The staff need plenty of time to look at all the entries and decide. That's why I made this thread for everyone to wait for them in. :3

That's okay, Sizz. Part of what makes it so fun is the waiting for you guys to make your decisions. I hope I speak for everybody when I say that we wouldn't want you to make a rushed decision. :heart:

I participated in Sizzla's avi contest and nothing else. I usually don't like the other hosts games and I didn't have time for'em anyway. o.o; I used to enter the image guessing contest but that went away. I don't have food to mess with to create things and pixeling eats my time away from drawing anythin'. The writing contests are too wonky for my brain to get crafty to make up stories anymore as well. *P.s; I don't usually go looking for the results of the event contests. I just enter to enter and let it be. XD But this is a good thread idea and thank you for making it, Sensible. |
Thanks, Miro. ^^; I agree to a certain extent--you should join the events because they're fun to play with, not because you want the rewards of winning. But for some of us, I think anticipating finding out who did win is just as much fun as putting together entries. :P
