Can anyone tell me what kind of trees these little creatures protect?"

Leane raised her hand.

"Yes Ms. Supton."

"Trees with great wand-quality, Professor."

"Correct! Ten points for Slytherin. Can anyone tell me what to give the little dears to distract them when we want to collect leaves or wood?"

Kalli shot her hand in the air.

"Yes Ms. St. Pier."

"Fairy eggs or woodlice."

"That's right! Ten points for Hufflepuff. Now.." Hagrid continued his lesson, showing the class an actual bowtruckle on a tree in the nearby forest.

"We're not going into the Forbidden Forest." Jack chided. "Its forbidden for a reason." Jack said.

"Fine." Ben sighed with real disappointment. "But the creatures sound awesome."

"Most dangerous creatures do." Matthew laughed quietly, eanring a pout from Ben.

"Leane, you're not going in there. Even if I have to leave class and get Josh. You're not going in there!"

"Kal, you're not my mother."

"No, but I'm more of a mother than she is! You're not going! Matt, talk some sense into her! She won't listen to Jack, and Ben's all for going. Nashita's not here, so do something!"

Meanwhile, Jack pulled Ben aside a bit roughly. "This is insane, Ben. You know you could get killed." Jack hissed, his voice low. "If you go out there then I can't say for sure if I'll be waiting for you when you get back." Jack warned, hating when he had to use ultimatums.

"LEANE!" called Kalli, "GET BACK HERE!"

Leane simply waved to Kalli as she continued on her way.

Massaging her temples, Kalli sighed, "Ben, you'd better go make peace with Jack. I'm going to go find Josh. Matt, you should get to class, you don't need to get in trouble. Josh will reach her before she gets into too much trouble I'm sure," said Kalli softly before turning and darting off for the school in search of Josh.

"Jack, I'm sorry. It was crazy, alright?" Ben said quickly. "Please don't be angry with me." He said shyly, melting Jack's icyness with his warm eyes.

"You can't just run off into the Forbidden Forest." Jack sighed as he dropped his arms to his sides. "Especially not after some deadly creature you saw in a book." He said before he was swallowed into one of Ben's hugs.

"Because I'm simply irresistable." Ben smiled as he pulled away from the hug. "So why don't we get out of here so we can kiss and make up?" Ben suggested, wriggling his eyebrows and earning a blush from jack though Jack followed him willingly to the Hufflepuff tower.

Kalli sighed in relief as she finally found Josh. Catching her breath, Kalli told Josh what happened and what Leane was up to. She wasn't sure if Matt had gone after her or not, but she knew Leane was in the forest.

Without another word, Josh placed a tender kiss upon Kalli's lips and promised he'd find her before she got herself killed. Running through the halls and out the door onto the school grounds, Josh ran as fast as he could to the Forbidden Forest where Kalli said Leane entered.
