"Its about children flying away to a magic island with Peter Pan and his fairy Tinkerbell." Ben explained as he involuntarily wrapped an arm around Lora's shoulders, keeping her close to him as he leaned further back into the cushions. "The island has pirates and lost boys and fairies. Its a children movie but I have a younger cousin who I babysit sometimes and its his favorite." Ben said as his hand rested on Lora's arm.

"It sounds wonderful! I think I'll like this Tinkerbell," Lorabelle said happily with a laugh, "What is she the fairy of? What is her talent? Her specialty? What season does she help with? Wait.. Why are humans in the world of Fae?" Lorabelle asked softly, her face clearly distorted in confusion as she tried to put the puzzle together in her head.

"Its a fantasy movie." Ben said as he looked down at the girl under his arm. "Its not real, and I'm not really sure about Tinkerbell's powers." He said with a furrowed brow. "Maybe the movie will explain it for you?" He asked as his eyes wandered back to the screen.

Lorabelle frowned, "So humans created a story based on information they didn't know and called it fantasy. Surely you jest." Sighing, Lorebelle rested her cheek on Ben's chest and watched the screen, "Will humans ever learn to stick to what they know instead of making fun of what they don't?"

"I don't think they're making fun. They're just making stories to entertain children." Ben countered with a smile. "Its like putting on a play. Its not real but its fun to see." He reasoned, wondering if they even had plays where Lora came from.

"Oh! Like stories told of times of old, though no one truly knows what's right and what's wrong?" Lorabelle said with a laugh, "We had Fae who would sing tales of such things back home every week. It was great fun to see! Is that what this is like? No one knows the truth, so they incorporated many stories together and created this tale?"

"Yes, that's what this is." Ben said with a grin, glad that he had managed to explain something right for once. "There's alot of fantasy movies out there." Ben explained as his eyes slid over his own collection which didn't support his own statement very well. "I don't have alot of them." He admitted the obvious. "But they're good once in a while."

Lorabelle smiled as she snuggled closer to Ben, a bit chilly as she pulled the blanket from the end of the couch and placed it over them both, "I think I will like those.. fantasy stories the most. They feel as if they will bring me closer to home.."

"I'm glad though I hope you'll feel at home in the human world too." Ben said as he sank further in the couch, curling slightly against Lora so that they were packed together under the blanket.

"Perhaps," Lora said with a smile, "I'm rather liking it so far. Though I do miss the clean air and freedom of home.. All of these industrious technological advances don't exactly make the greatest playground for a fairy," Lora added with a laugh. "I miss my magic, most of all. And my ability to grow beauty. That is one thing I hate most about being human."

"What could you do?" Ben asked curiously as he rested his chin on Lora's head. "I mean, with your magic. What kind of....power did you have?" Ben wondered as the movie rolled by, Peter Pan introducing Wendy and her brothers to the island of Never, Neverland.

"I could control the weather, remember?" Lorabelle said with a laugh, "I wasn't ever very good at it, but I do still miss it."

"Do you think you'll go back?" Ben wondered, feeling a bit sad at the prospect of not seeing Lora again. "I mean, will they allow you back at some point?"

"Never," Lora said sadly with a sigh, "I'm banished. Once a fairy is banished, he or she is stripped of everything. The only trace of his or her existence is in the history books with the reason for his or her banishment. Even the fairy's family must forget he or she ever existed."

"Aw, Lora. I'm sorry." Ben frowned, mentally smacking himself for bringing up such a sore topic in the first place. "I'm sure your family will never forget you." He tried to assure her, giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze.

"Are you kidding? My family disowned me and forgot about me even before the sentencing," Lorabelle said with a short laugh. "But than you for your kindness, Ben. I really do appreciate it," Lorabelle added with a warm smile. "What about your family, Ben? Why are they not with you?"

"When humans get older to go to college like I am now, we usually leave home. Most colleges are far away and my parents live about 5 hours from here." Ben explained to Lora. "I miss them lots and my mom is always calling to check in but I need to get my studying done if I'm ever going to get a job. Besides, parents can drive you crazy sometimes." Ben laughed, adding at the end. "Even if you love them all the same."

"Hmm, you humans sure are strange," Lorabelle pondered with a furrowed brow, "Why must you go to school so far away? Cannot your family teach you, or your community? Should they not be able to provide the necessary education to live and prosper in your community?"

"Not always." Ben said as he thought back to his hometown which wasn't all that large. "College level work is different and requires very educated people who have studied certain subjects. And not every town has a college that all people will want to go to so we have to go elsewhere." He explained, hoping that he was making sense as he had never explained something that was such common knowledge before.

"So then, everyone does not have the same education?" Lorabelle inquired gently, still quite confused on the subject. "How can you all fill in at a job that is not your given specialty when you are needed, if you do not all have the same education? How can your world function properly?"

"There's plenty of jobs out there for people in all different fields." Ben explained. "It's pretty complicated and I'm sorry that I'm not very good at explaining these things." He said, shaking his head partially to keep himself awake as his eyelids started to droop.

"Hmm, I do not think I will ever understand this world of yours," Lorabelle said with a laugh, "But thank you for trying." Noticing his expression, Lorabelle inquired softly as the movie came to an end, "Ben? You look sleepy.. Do you want to go to bed?"

"Hm?" Ben asked, rubbing his eyes tiredly. "Yes, I'm pretty tired and I have to get up for school tomorrow." Ben said as he stood from the couch and stretched. "Are you alright sleeping out here?" Ben asked. "I can always sleep on the couch and give you the bed."

Lorabelle shook her head, "No, no. Don't put yourself to too much trouble. I shall be fine on couch." Holding the couch pillow to her chest, Lorabelle smiled up at Ben, "What time will you be leaving tomorrow?"
|
"I have early classes tomorrow so I'll be leaving around eight. Are you going to be okay here by yourself?" Ben asked. "I can stop back in on my lunch break to check on you." He offered through a yawn.
