Avatar Features Suggestion Thread
 

This idea came to me when I realized that there were no Asian skin colors while making an avatar of my RL self a week or two ago. And so, while I have some spare time between papers, I thought I'd share it with you all one suggestion I had for this forum~ =) <3<3

On Mene, I like to lurk around the Site Feedback forum for some interesting threads and ideas. One consistent topic that seems to never die (aside from new games and towns/interactive places xDD) is the suggestion for new hair, new eyes, new noses, new ears, and etc. Basically, suggestions for avatar features.

So, instead of us seeing the same titles on multiple threads over and over again, why not an entire thread dedicated to it? :'D If we have a Regular Items Suggestion thread and a Contribution Item suggestion thread, why can't we have one for avatar features?

I know, I know, people may just keep harping on about new features all day long, but for the sake of keeping everything in one place, one big thread for them all would be neat. :3 Like the other two suggestion threads, you don't have to listen to the suggestions at all if you don't want them. xDD;; But, I figured making a whole thread just for these kinds of suggestion would save some forum space or whatever.


This is just a suggestion, btw. =) Feel free to bring it down if you guys don't like it. xDD;;

Yeah, a wider variety of skin colours would be bomb. :D

I feel bad now though, since in my first post I just said, "no Asian skin color", when in fact there is more than just one Asian skin color! I'm ashamed now, since I accidentally somewhat stereotyped my own ethnicity. D: </3

I also like the idea of asian skin.

I all so like this idea, the site avatar's could diversify a lot more if we had a few more basic things to play with. Heck maybe we could could colourful skins choices too. We all know we need more incredible hulks roaming around.

Black skin.

Like, drow black, not african black. Since we already have that.

I like this idea. Also, maybe some pale skin with blue tones perhaps, liek icy skin.

The thing about skin from my perspective. Yes it would be cool if we could offer more options like drow or Asian, but also remember that we have 7 base sets of eyes in the system, with um... at least one or two more hoping to be colored someday and released. For each skin set it requires the eyes to be colored as well. One by one. By hand.

It's not a bad idea and if you could provide a palette that didn't look like a person has hepatitis or looks as though they've been run through the wash a billion times and have faded (needs to be a palette of 8) , I'll consider adding it, but understand it will not be right away. There's lots of stuff I'm still working on (see the mess of the zombie eyes for just one example, lol) that are ahead of this.

We can toggle eyes and hair, but not skins? That's kinda screwy.

I used the zombie base on my mule for the first time yesterday, and I had no idea that they eyes were such a danger zone x_x

Actually, this thread wasn't meant to be the "actual" avatar suggestion thread. xDD;; I was suggesting that the staff make a thread where we can post our own suggestions. :'> Along with some notes on why new skin can't be added just yet, and etc. ^^;; So that maybe other things can be suggested instead, like possible hairstyles and whatnot. XP

What about some noses and more eyebrows perhaps.
Right now the eyebrows are great, but what if you could mix and match them, so you can RAISE an eyebrow, and have 1 eyebrow to look like a creeper.

I think there's at least one new nose in the works right now. I've seen Juru and Inso sporting some strange ones lately :ninja:

Those (noses) are admin only atm because the glitch that allows you to have eyes from the darker bases on the lighter ones so it appears you have makeup on... it also affects the noses. While I'll not get graphic as to what I think the darker version of the nose looks like on a lighter base, um... we can't release that until we can figure out how to fix it.

Eyebrows are one piece. In order to be able to mix and match they'd have to be separate pieces.

I do have something for the boys I need to get in the system though ;)

Mixing and matching eyebrows?! o_O;; Now that's one interesting concept right there. xDD;;

And oh! So right now, glitching eyes glitches noses as well? =O If we had red skin, it'd be so funny to have red runny noses running around on Mene (no pun intended). XP

I'm excited for this update for male avatars though~ =O <3<3 Wonder what it'll be?

Facial hair?

Arm hair? Leg hair? Armpit hair? xDD;;
Now the last one would be very amusing. 8DD;;

Armpit hair should not be visible when your arms are at your sides...

Though, chest scruff or a happy trail could be totally hawt, especially after the return to nature CIs xD

And that's true. >3>;; Although, trust me, I've seen some very... bushy armpits in the past. x_x;;
