"Will do," Mason replied, smiling a bit, and opened a cabinet. A dead rat fell out and landed on the floor. "Nice," he mumbled under his breath and glanced back to Katie. "Just how the hell we're supposed to get out of here," he said to her last question. He mumbled a few words in Romanian under his breath and sighed.

((okay, anyone up for a vote? How about we actually make it now..that the hunters start hunting and whoever they get turns into one of the 'past contestants'
Katie frowned a little."We don't. Only one of us can get out." She said, opening the cabinet, only to have her arm sliced by a booby trap. All it did was draw blood..but that was enough for the hunters to smell it.'Dammit.." She muttered, instantly tearing off a part of her shirt and tieing it around the cut."Mason, if hunters come you have to leave. The safest parts of the house are the rooms its self.. stay in one. if you can keep the hunters out of the room then you'll win the game." She said, pulling the cloth tight with her teeth and then shutting the cabinet. She opened another revealing a bottle of liquor. She picked it up, smashing the top on the cabiet and then taking a sip."Not bad.." |

"It's alright." She said, a little vaguely. Words couldn't really describe her experiences in France. Besides, she wasn't a big talker. They walked in silence for a moment, down a hallway that seemed to last forever. She suddenly had a bad feeling and ran in front of him, stopping him. As soon as she did, three arrows shot out, one barely touching her neck and cutting a tiny piece of her hair off. She gasped, a little frozen in shock. That was close.. I guess this time, they aimed for the shorter ones.. She turned around to face him, looking down at the ground shyly. "Um.. I guess that was a stupid move." She muttered quietly.

Mason turned to Katie and winced as he saw the booby trap spring out and cut her. "You know I can't do that," he said, shaking his head. "Poor the liquor on the floor, it'll mask the scent of blood," he said and walked to where she was standing. Another bottle of hard vodka sat in the cabinet and he took it out, smashing it hard against the counter and pouring it on the floor. He was careful not to let the glass cut either of them. He pulled off his tee shirt, revealing a hard stomach, complete with Romanian abs. "Here, tie this around the cut. With only your bit of shirt the bleeding won't stop," he said and tossed his black shirt to her. "Come on, we need to find a safe area," he said to her, turning to face her. |

Katie took his shirt, taking off the piece of cloth from her own and tieing his shirt around her arm. She poured the bottle on the floor and took his hand again."I'm serious. we need a pact okay? If i'm killed by a hunter or cornered then you leave immedietly, same if you were cornered. Deal?" She frowned knowing she probably would get killed trying to save him, so her part of the pact would mean nothing."Please just say you'll do that." She said, looking around the room for any supplies. She picked the knife up that had cut her and cleaned it off with her piece of cloth, throwing the cloth on the floor and taking the knife." Lets just go find a safe room..ir there is one.' |
"I thought i would find ya'll in here." Airx said as he leaned against the doorway and looked at the couple, it was time to well, kill one of them and he already had his picked out, Katie. She would make a good companion for him, consedering that she already liked him and at least then he could let her see how he was killed. He gave her a sexy smile as he looked them over, letting his eyes wander after a moment, glad that it was time to start thier job even though he wasn't one to kill but being dead made you do crazy things even if you wouldn't do it when you were living.

Mason squeezed her hand. "I can't promise that," he said sadly. He heard Arix's voice and his eyes darkened. "What do you want now?" He asked, stepping slightly in front of Katie. He had a feeling he already knew what would happen, and what Airx really was. You're killing yourself you idiot, Mason told himself in his mind, but he ignored his thoughts. "Go Katie, please," he whispered to Katie. He knew one of them would die, but he would still fight. He wasn't trying to be a hero, but in Romania it was enforced for a man to protect his lady. And by now, that's what Katie was to him. |
Katie looked at Mason."No, I won't leave." She said, giving him a small face and then looked at Airx. The look in his eyes made her automatically know.. he wanted something. And he was looking at her. The smile sent a shiver up her spine because death was behind the look."Mason.. maybe you should go. I can handle it myself." She said, dropping his hand. If she had to forcefully piss Mason off to the point where he hated her, she would do it. Mostly since she wanted him to get out..she had nothing to go back to."Hello Airx..'

"Hello Darling. I know ya'll hate seeing me, knowing that i am a huntting creature.....but there was just somethings you can't help in life. I really do wish i was alive because maybe then you and i could have a chance, Katie." Airx said to her in his southern drawl, after a few minutes as he watched the exchange between the two of them, he was blocking the only exit at the monet, singing "Don't Take The Girl." It was kind of ironic, consedering that was just what he was going to do, take the girl away from Mason and turn her into what he was, He had a feeling that Kisha wantted MAson so it was all going to work out in the end.

Katie raised her eye brow at Airx." If I ..will you let Mason go?" She said, not bothering to finish her sentence since Airx already knew what she meant. Her face was expressionless since she would go down without a fight if Mason would be let threw, and not harmed. She looked up at the camera in the corner of the room, wondering what her mother was thinking.

Mason glared at Airx. "You wouldn't have a chance with her anyways jackass," he said, anger playing his eyes. "Katie, don't, please," he said, pleading to her. He knew Airx wanted her, and he knew he'd die trying to save her. But there was something fishy, like he knew Airx wouldn't hurt him. He wondered why, and his minute flashed to Kisha. "I'd hate seeing your ugly face anyways," he said to Airx, trying to anger him and distract him from Katie by using insults.

"I will let him go.....and you know the two conditions that i require." Airx said to KAtie, completely ignoring Mason, consedering he was going to be someone elses target, He moved out of the doorway enough for MAson to get through it but so he could snag Katie if she tried to get away, once he had his mind set on something there was no stopping him, not once his wolf side was taking a hold of him. He faked a yawned before he went back to the song he was singing, pretending that he wasn't paying attention to anything that was going on, almost like he was off in his own world.

Katie gave Mason a small hug and a quick kiss." Don't worry, you'll see me again..just.. i'll be the only hunter not hunting you." She smirked, trying to lighten the mood and then walked over to Airx, pretty much giving up. She knew what hunters were capable of..so she wouldn't bother running. She put out her hand slowly towards Airx. Atleast she would 'die' because of her favorite contestant."Just don't do it with him here.." She said, looking back at Mason sadly.

Damien nodded, knowing that there would be a trap coming up soon. What he didn't expect though, was the girl to go in front of him and stop him. He froze as the trap set off, cutting off some strands of her hair. He looked down at her in surprise. "That was a little silly. But, thank you." he said, offering her a small smile. He looked down at her neck and smirked, seeing there wasn't any blood there, a small scratch but nothing else. Good thing too. He wouldn't be able to contain himself.

"Hey, it might have been you big guy." She said, and smirked a little. "Besides, I'm fine." She stepped to the side, and they continued walking. As they walked, she touched her neck a little, looking for any cuts or scratches. It was small, and she sighed in relief. After a few minutes of walking in silence she said, "Hey. Where are we going, anyway?"

Mason shook his head in disbelief. In a way he had kind of known it would come to this, he just hadn't wanted to let himself believe it. Don't get close to anyone. It hurts all the more when you do, he remembered one of his mentors telling him before the Games. He knew he should have followed that piece of advice, but he couldn't. Don't be the hero, his mentor had also told him, but was this what he was doing? To him it wasn't; he just didn't want Katie to die like this. He battled with himself in his head over what to do. Try to kill Airx? That might work, but it's more likely that it wouldn't. Try to save Katie? Again, that might not work. Walk away? He didn't know if he could. All of his options were near impossible for him.

Katie looked at Mason."Just go. You have a better chance of living when your away from the hunters. Think of your sister. Won't she want to see you again?" She said softly, looking towards Airx. "I'll be fine. I don't really die.." I just can never leave. She looked back at Mason."Your family needs you to come home, mine doesn't. I don't have anything to go back for.." She said, walking more towards Airx. She felt some teas go in her eyes but she quickly looked up so they wouldn't show. She had liked Mason, and felt horrible that this was happening. But this was one of the main rules of the game; Don't get attached to other contestants. She hadn't been following this rule well..she had always loved Airx on tv and cried for days when he died. So she wondered..who was crying for her?

Aysel jumped as Harry vanished in the floor. "Hold on," she yelled to him. She jumped down the through the floor before it reappeared, landing swiftly on her feet. She had trained for the Games, and it showed in how she landed. "Are you two OK? Aysel asked, concern in her voice. She reached out to each boy with a hand, so that she could help pull them out. "Booby trap," she muttered and shook her head.
Mason came closer to Katie, giving Airx a warning look. "I can't," he said sadly. He understood everything she was saying, and he knew his sister was probably bawling at home. But that was the only real family he had left, he had lost his mother to an illness and his father to drinking. He knew his sister was a strong one, but he wondered how this would effect her. "It's the same thing as dying," he said, his voice hardened to keep the emotion out of it. He didn't want to get emotional, but he felt it coming on. He knew it would be worse for him if he became emotional, but he didn't care. "Give us one second Airx, please. Then I'll go," he said to Airx, pleading a bit in his voice. |
Katie walked towards Mason."What are you doing?!" She whispered."Your sister needs you and your going to live. But if you try to get in the way then Airx will kill us both." She said, looking back at Airx. He wasn't a bad guy..just hunters were made to hunt. And they lived off blood and other things.. She looked back at Mason."Come on. you've known me for a day. Just because we've kissed doesn't mean you should try to save me from dieing." She said, trying to make him want to leave."Hell, Airx kissed me and now hes going to kill me."

"You think I care about having known you only a day, or Airx having kissed you? I only cared he kissed you because I should have done it first, or at least stopped him." Mason hissed back. "And I'm not saving you because we kissed Katie. I'm saving you because it's what I was taught to do and because it's right. But I can see that trying to get you to budge on this is useless. I'm not stupid. I just need a moment alone with you," he continued to whisper. He was hurt from some of the things she was saying, but he knew it was just a decoy.
