After a short while, Shilo decided that she had done enough socialising and that it was time they got on with the poem that Agoni had prepared for her. She was so excited as she made her way through the crowds to try to find him. As Shilo caught a glimpse of Agoni, she felt a strange feeling in the bottom of her stomach. It was all tingly and nervous. Shilo's cheeks a pale pink colour and she hoped that no body else could see how much she really liked him... After all, if he did like her, it was not obvious.

"Agoni?" she said as she placed her hand on his shoulder. He was so much taller than her, but she didnt mind reaching up. "Do you want to, urm, do the poem thing now?" she smiled and blushed and then turned her face to the floor so it looked like she was looking at her shoes. It was so strange how quickly she had fallen for his 'lack of interest in love'. Every other guy had always shown too much interest and put her off, but the one boy she did like, well... Might not even want to be with her.

Damn.

"Easily arranged" Shilo giggled as she took hold of Agoni's hand and pulled him towards the stage. On her way, she grabbed a microphone and made sure it was working, then she spoke to one of the teachers, asking them to introduce Agoni and tell the other students what the poem reading was all about. She then placed the mic in the stand and moved off stage.

As they stood there, Shilo could almost hear her heart pounding in her chest. She was so nervous, and she was falling for Agoni, which made everything worse. He was so talented, and so handsome, it was hard not to fall for him.

The teacher introduced them, and the curtain opened to a ballroom full of wide eyed students and teachers, all gazing in curiosity at the show they were about to witness. "Here goes" Shilo whispered to Agoni and lead him to the front of the stage. She then turned to look at him, and on the side of her face that the crowd couldnt see, she winked.

Shilo felt tears welling up in her eyes as Agoni recited the poem to her. By the end of it, she couldnt breath. He was breathtaking, and he had written that poem to her by hand, which meant that the things he was saying were true. He felt the same way!!!.

A high pitched screaming came from the crowd, and Shilo's heart almost stopped. Who was screaming? What was happening? She began to run out to see what was happening and why so much commotion was being caused, but slipped. The rest was blackness.

"Noo!" Cassie was screaming. The poem. She recognised it. It was almost like the one her parents had recited to her every night before she slept. Before they had left...


"You know where they are! I know you do!" she screamed and sprang from where she sat, spreading her wings and flying furiously towards the boy who had moments ago recited almost perfectly the poem that her late parents had done for her. She needed to know where he knew it from. She was desperate to find out where her parents were, and if this boy knew then she would do whatever it took to get the truth from him.

Shilo opened her eyes to the pounding of her bleeding head and the screaming of a girl. The screaming was getting closer and closer. "Agoni. I need to tell you something!" she shouted above the high pitched screams. "I... I like you" she blushed, even though it was unrecognisable because her face was so pale and there was blood running down her cheeks.

"How dare you hide truths from me that I have searched for all of my life! You know where my parents are! Whether it's consciously or subconsciously! You know, and I need you to tell me" Cassie burst into floods of tears. Her arms was hurt where she had been thrown out of the air and onto the floor, and she could see the bruising coming up already. At this point, Cassie was afraid. She had witnessed things like this happening, but had never imagined that she would be one of the people it was happening to. The long lost memory of her parents had scared her and surprised her at the same time. Her reaction had been unnecesary, and she knew that, but she needed to know where her parents were.

"Do you?" Shilo whispered, before she noticed what Agoni was turning into. Then, when it hit her how much of a monster he was becoming she burried her face in the cloth of his shirt and tried to hide. When he began to intimidate the young Angel, Shilo began to worry. As a teacher, it was her responsibility to make sure her students were always safe. Agoni was putting young Cassie in danger.

"No!" she half screamed, with all of the energy she could muster. "Leave her alone Agoni. I know your not this person" she practically whispered the last part, and then reached up and kissed him. It hurt her, and the movement caused her more pain than she could bare. Giving up, she collapsed into the Agoni's arms, no able to move anymore. Her whole body was begining to feel cold, and even though she was a vampire, there was something about Agoni that had made her weak and suceptable to human bodily harm as well as emotions. "I feel so weak Agoni" was the last thing she whispered before she passed out again and the world became an unknown tunnel of darkness and fear.

Tears were flooding Cassie's cheeks as her friend hugger her tightly. "I, I'm so so sorry Agoni! I never meant to hurt Shilo. I never meant to upset anyone. Its just, I miss them so so much" she burst into tears again and burried her face in Chiyo's shoulder. She felt so much love for Chiyo. Her best friend, who had lost her parents, and was still caring for her even though she was probably feeling the same way. "Jessie. You have memories of your parents! You can remember them. They would want you to be happy!" she said, just loud enough so that Jessie could hear her.

Shilo opened her eyes and frowned. There was a faint throbbing in her head, and she was so hot that it was getting hard to breath. Then she realised that everything was black. "Agoni?" she whispered, and when he moved she realised that the only reason she couldnt see, and that she was so hot was because she was wrapped up inside his jacket with his cuddling her close. "What happened?" she whispered and her head started to pound even more as she tried to move. Her face felt wet, but it was probably because she was so hot. Shilo reached a hand up to wipe the sweat from her face, and then realised that it wasnt sweat at all... It was blood. She began to scream and panik. "What happened to me? I dont bleed! Whos blood is this?" she demanded and began to cry.

Then she realised that while she was moving out of Agoni's arms, he wasnt actually moving himself. "Agoni?" she questioned, calming down slightly and forgetting about her own problems. Worry set in as her new found love didnt move or reply to her. "Agoni?" she shouted this time, slowly and gently rolling him over so she could see his face.

Cassie jumped up, tears still rolling down her face, and grabbing Chiyo's hand began to run towards Shilo and Agoni. "I'm so sorry Shilo! I didnt mean to hurt you" she sobbed, but then realised with a shock that now it wasnt Shilo who was injured, but Agoni. He must have tried to heal her, and projected the injuries onto himself. "Oh no. Is there anything I can do to help you?" she practically demanded, tears still streaming.

"Oh god. He has my injuries!" Shilo screamed. She knew that Ccassie was trying to talk to her, but she was too worried about Agoni. "No. I wont lose you! Not yet!" she shouted and placed her hand on the back of his head that was bleeding. Shilo was a healer, it was the way she was born. Being a vampire made it impossible for her to bleed, which is why she was so confused when she realised that the blood pouring down her face was her own. It seems that being near Agoni, being in love had made her more human than vampire.

Letting soft, healing light pass through her body, Shilo closed her eyes and focussed on the injuries that Agoni had accumilated. She focussed on the pain that she knew his poor body was feeling, and projected her healing energy into those particular areas of him. "Heal Agoni. It's Shilo. I need you to get better for me" she said, so that most people could hear her. Then, more to him than to anyone else, she leant forward and whispered into his ear "I love you" and prayed that he could hear her and that would help him to get better.

Shilo nodded whilst concertrating. She didnt know who Choyo had meant when she talked about wiping off blood... Hopefully, both of them, as they were both pretty covered in it.

Cassie added "yeah, and I can control the elements, so if you need anything, like some more water, or some preaceful summer smells... even some soothing spirit, I can help you" she stammered a little, and was very nervous, but she got what she wanted to say out and that was all that mattered.

"Shhh" Shilo soothed Agoni. He was trying to move, but she knew that it would cause him pain, so she put her arms around his shoulders and pulled him gently so that his back was resing on her legs. She ran her fingers through his hair, pulling out any knots that had formed due to dry blood. When she was sure that cleaning his head wouldnt cause him any pain, she ripped a piece of fabric from her dress and wet it, she then started to gently wipe of all of the blood that covered his face and head. "You'll be okay" she whispered. "All of your injuries are healed, but it will still be painful for an hour or so" she added and then continued to wipre away the bloody mess in silence.

"Not if I have anything to do with it" Cassie whispered. She called Air to her and sent it deep into Agoni's body. She directed it to the points in his body that she could sence pain coming from, and asked it to sooth the pain and make it feel cooler and easier. Air did as it was commanded and gently eased the pain that had been flooding through Agoni's body. It was not completely taken away, because pain is sometimes in the mind, but it had made it easier for him to move.
