Alvaro paused again, one hand on the handle to open the door before him, "I'll be as fine as I always am." He pulled the door open and stared into the darkness that leaked out from the dungeons, "As for it happening again, this is my life dear. I've had to live with it for at least a few years now." He stepped into the darkness and before pulling the door shut behind him paused again, "Lock the door correctly this time Lucus, I'm sure nobody wants a repeat of last time."
Lucus shook his head, "No...I sure don't..." He said as he locked it quickly double checking. "Alll right.... that should be good..."
Kana nodded. "I'll just...try not to be around you when it happens." she said quietly. "Last time? Did he get out?" she asked, not so scared about the subject anymore.
((lol maybe you should edit buggie-chan, the door's locked so he can't hear you. You can change it so that Kana asks Lucus instead. ^^))
((I'll just put "he" instead...oops ^^; ))
Lucus nodded remembering, "Yeah it was bad...." He said double checking the lock again. Feeling a bit paranoid.
Kana shivered a little. "Okay...Lucus? Could you take me to my room now? I'm feeling quite tired." she said quietly, looking at the lock as well.
Lucus nodded, "Of course…" He said softly offering his hand gently.

Kana gently interlocked fingers with Lucus and started walking to her room. She sighed gently, more to herself. She missed home already, and it had only been a few hours. She wondered what her mother was thinking about this, she loved her so much, and she knew she was only overprotective because she cared, and this must have been why. The fragile girl closed her eyes and frowned as she just let Lucus lead her through the hallways.
Lucus looked at her gently worried that she was upset with him. He gave a small apologetic smile feeling unsure and worried.
Kana finally opened her eyes and looked up at Lucus. She smiled back at him and hid her pain behind the smile, as she usually did.
Lucus eased a bit smiling at her but still felt that something was wrong with her.
Once they finally arrived at Kana's room, she smiled and hugged Lucus. "That will be all, Dear. Thank you." she said quietly. She gave him a friendly kiss on the cheek, then laid down.
Lucus nodded looking at her. "My room has a 5 on it it's down the hall to the left....knock if you need anything..." he said softly.
Kana smiled gently and laughed. "I will, don't worry." she said quietly. Her eyes slowly shut as she drifted off to sleep.
Lucus nodded going to his room feeling mixed. He smiled sitting down on his bed stretching.
Alvaro sat quietly in the darkness for a short while before he could feel the familiar pull of sleep. He knew that once he fell asleep Albel would have free reign the entire rest of the night. Even with that thought Alvaro could only hold on for so long. With a feeling of foreboding flowing through him, Alvaro let his eyes close and his mind to shut-down.
Albel was quick to take over and stretched, eyes darting about as they got used to the darkness. "The dungeons again?" he purred out, "How unoriginal Alvaro dear." He got up and stretched, popping a few joints in the process. His eyes scanned the wall closest to him and found what he was looking for. He reached out one hand and hooked a thin finger into an invisible groove, pulling it out to reveal a single key. He took it out and twirled it on his finger, humming a happy tune as he moved back to the door and unlocked it. He pulled the door open and quickly put the key back before leaving the dungeons, pulling the door shut behind him. He glided down the many halls, images from earlier flashing through his mind. Lucus was that protective of that girl, hm? Interesting...now to find her room. It was a simple enough task, Albel had already got a whiff of the girl's scent earlier and easily traced it to a room. He slipped in and noticed the human female asleep on the bed. He moved quickly and quietly to a chair on the other side of the room, near the window and sat down, perching on the chair with one leg hugged to his chest as he stared out the window, the moon hanging in the sky bathed his lone figure in moonlight as he stare at it. A memory surfaced in his mind, a shared memory between him and Alvaro, of their mother. She had always loved to take them out to watch the sky, sitting in fields of grass and just watching the sky's eventually falling on their backs and giggling softly to each other. There had been such peace and serenity back then... |
At that time of her slumber, Kana was facing the window that Albel had been sitting near. She woke up, only a little, then sighed and turned the other way, quickly falling back to sleep. She had been tired from the long, scary day, so she was bound to fall asleep quickly. As she slept, a vivid dream of what happened earlier today filled her mind, except this time, instead of the men just staring at them, the walls started slowly closing in on her, and she panicked and quickly sat up, hugging her blankets.
Albel eyed the girl as she moved, as she sighed. What a strange thing humans were. She was thrashing about in her sleep, a nightmare perhaps? And then she sat up, hugging her blankets to her person. What could it have been that had scared her so? Maybe she had been lying about being fine in this castle with them after all. Well she should have been. "Are you feeling alright, Princess?" Albel purred out, still on the chair, laying his cheek on the knee of the leg he had hugged to his chest.
((That's how I sit xD No joke lol))
Kana pushed her hair back out of her face, and jumped a bit as she heard Albel. She didn't know that he had been in the room, and he made her nervous. "I'm...fine. It was just a nightmare..." she said quietly. She looked down at the blanket she was hugging, still eying the creature, had he try anything. She sighed and curled up on the bed, frowning a bit. She missed her house and her family and friends. |
((I sit like that too XD))
Albel's eyes narrowed dangerously as he watched her lie back down, "Is that so...?" he murmured. Then he got up from his seat and moved towards her bed, just standing near the edge of the bed. He observed her quietly with an empty gaze, "I don't get it." he finally said, "This concept of love you humans seem to be able to preach about so easily. I don't understand it." He blinked slowly and raised a hand, running his fingers over the place the jewels on Alvaro's face would have been, "She was the same you know? Our mother." |
Kana sighed. "Love is...that one special person...who makes you feel worth something...and you never want to let them go. It's like you don't know about anything going on around you when they're with you..." she said quietly, then looked up at him. "Like what? Human?" she asked.
Albel was silent as he pondered her reply, "I see." he murmured. Then he blinked and refocused his gaze on her, just for a moment before returning his gaze to the moon, "Our mother? Yes, i suppose you could say that. She was most definitely human....but i meant her view of love." He sat down on the bed then, "It was what kept my very existence away, she loved Alvaro dear very much, you know? He was crushed when she was murdered. So crushed in fact, I had free reign over his body for two years."
Kana felt bad for Albel. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all. "I-I see...So what's it like for Alvaro to live with the man who killed his mother?" she asked, not sure how the whole two personalities thing works. "If...you can tell...sorry, I'm new at this whole two person thing..." she said quietly.
