Albel smiled, a smile, not a smirk, as he turned back his gaze to Kana, "For Alvaro dear? You will have to ask him that yourself Princess." He reached a hand forward and brushed a few strand of her hair away from her face before pulling his hand back to his side, "I cannot tell how he feels about things. Even if I could, it would not be my place to say." He raised his hand and turned it over, examining it as if it was something foreign to him. "Being two people...it isn't that difficult. You're still one person, you just...have lapses in your memory then." Without any of his brothers around to provoke him, Albel found himself a lot calmer, his normal bloodlust kept well under control. How strange...

Blaine chuckled at the fruits of Koi's prank and shook his head. "Aw c'mon. I know you can do better than that." He slunk past her with a movement of one who expertly traveled on narrow roofs. "Let a pro show you how it's done, ma'am." He picked up a couple of powdered eggs, a sticky substance in a jar that he concocted, a small can of tar that he specially crafted and some feathers. When a man walked past his position, Blaine threw the feathers in the tar, tossed the eggs and the thick goo in two swift swoops. The mush landed behind the person, the egg hit the concrete in front of passerby businessman, but waited with the tarred feathers. Everything went according to plan as the guy jumped back and landed in the goop to avoid the floured projectiles, but when he wasn't paying attention, the contents of Blaine's jar dribbled onto his victim. The hoodlum laughed hysterically as he saw the beauty of his art and laughed even harder over the swears of the businessman. "Aw that was the best, I didn't think it would work out like this. I mean I thought the calculations would be off, but that was awesome," Blaine said catching his breath between chuckles.
Koi blinked at his words, then watched him. A pro, huh? Well - if you were as old as she assumed he was, she guessed that you'd turn into a pro. She leaned over the railing, watching him do his trick. She blinked, then smiled at him, nodding. He thought his calculations were off, but hey - they worked out fantastic! Koi chuckled. She didnt do anything else - she just watched him. "You are a pro," she agreed softly, leaning back away from the railing so the people below didnt see her. Blaine probably had a technique for that, but she didnt. Just leaning back was her technique. Saysha and Oblivion were yammering on and on in her head but Koi bluntly ignored them both, smiling at Blaine.
Blaine began to dance in a goofy fashion at his success, but he didn't mind that he was making a complete fool of himself. He continued his dance until he grew tired of it and casted his eyes back on Koi, a smile exploded onto his face when she admitted he was a pro. "Thanks, I mean I've done this all my life, which wouldn't be too long for most vampires, but what do you expect. Me and my brothers are young," he said with a nonchalant shrug. He ran his fingers through his hair casually as he paced the rooftop while watching the girl carefully. What was running through her mind at the moment. He had an intense look on his face as he pondered.
Koi looked at him. "May I ask a few things?" she questioned, her quiet, sweet, flowing voice like a soft dagger piercing the silence that suddenly came over them. Koi was suddenly very curious about him. Very, very curious. So - being the polite little thing she was - Koi first asked if she could ask questions before actually asking them. Her pretty eyes fell upon his intense face, wondering why he was so intense, wondering what he was thinking.
Blaine came out of his heavy thought and his smile reappeared as he heard the voice that Koi put on. He gave a nod of confirmation that she could ask him questions. Seating himself next to a pile of bricks, he peered into her eyes sharply to let her know that he was paying attention to whatever she wanted to ask him. "Okay, let her rip. What does Koi want to know about Blaine?" He cracked his knuckles and stretched without taking his brightly-lit eyes off of her.

Kana sat in a nearby chair that had been sitting in the corner of the room and shrugged a little. "The concept is still hard for me...I mean, it isn't humanly possible...well...I suppose it isn't humanly possible, but...vampirely possible?" she asked herself, starting to trail off and ask herself things.
"Of course it is humanly possible." Albel replied calmly, letting his hand fall once again, "What do you think bipolarity or those other illnesses of the mind are called?" ((sorry, couldn't think of a better way to phrase it >.>)) He sighed and stood back up, running a pale hand through his black hair, making his way to the window and looking back up at the moon.
Kana's eyes grew and she gripped the chair arms. "Wait...like...psycho people?" she asked, frowning a bit. "My...that's...scary...what about cannibals and those people? What's wrong with them?" she asked, the questions just spilling out of her mouth.
((Bipolar...that's a good example xD)) |
"Psycho?" Albel murmured, "Nice way of putting it I suppose..." He shrugged and tore his eyes away from the moon, locking his eyes with Kana's, "Cannibals? Really Princess, do you think you ought to be asking a vampire about these?" A half-crazed grin appeared on his lips, "I'm not a psychologist ((or was it psychiatrist? >.>)) but I suppose it has to do with how each individual views the world, no? How one's brought up..." The grin disappeared again and his eyes flickered back out the window, "It's not what's wrong with them...it's what's wrong with everybody else. They believe they're right, others believe they're wrong. Who is truly right in these situations I wonder..." A sad gleam flickered through his eyes as he blinked slowly, arms crossing over his chest.
Kana was clearly confused, and she just sunk back down in the chair, closing her eyes and cuddling herself. "I don't know, but without conflict, what would there be to talk about? I mean, if everyone was the exact same way and thought the same way, wouldn't the world be boring?" she suggested. "Don't get me wrong, it would make for a perfect society, but what would happen to politics, music, and all of the other sorts of entertainment?" she asked. 'Maybe Albel isn't so bad...' she admitted.
"Perfect society?" Albel gave a sarcastic laugh, "That would not make for a perfect society, it would make for a totalitarian state, then what? It'll lead to the demise of all peoples." He elaborated. "All of those things, music...politics...entertainment, it would all be controlled by one person." He dropped his gaze to the floor and sighed once more before tilting his head as he lifted his head to look at Kana's huddled form, "I seem to have used...a bit more energy than I realized..." he whispered before collapsing into a heap on the floor. The jewels on his face returned and his black hair faded back to it's lighter green-ish color. Alvaro now slept quietly on Kana's bedroom floor, a serene expression on his face.
((Did you totally forget what our plan was? >>))
Kana was listening to the current flow of his warm voice, when she heard a small "thud" on the floor. Her eyes flew open and she looked down at the sleeping Alvaro. She walked over and kneeled down, gently brushing his cheek with her thumb, then kissing his cheek gently. She walked to her bed and cuddled the blankets, then fell asleep. |
((it'll take some time, you can't just earn trust like that *blink* I didn't forget, no worries ^^
...uhmm...I have no idea what else to type >.> ...oh okay, got it...)) Alvaro's eyes cracked open slowly as he sat up, wondering where he was as he looked around the unfamiliar room, rubbing softly at his eyes. His pinkish-red orbs traveled to the window and he took in the slowly lightening sky...wait what! He shot to his feet that most people would have considered impossible for someone who just woke up...but then again Alvaro and his brothers weren't most people. He quickly grasped the heavy curtains on either side of the windows and drew them closed before retreating to the corner farthest from the window. Where had Albel taken him? |
Kana slowly rolled over and said a few words in her sleep, then pulled the blankets completely over her head and yawned, then she pushed the covers off of her and looked around. No light. She rubbed her head and yawned again, then looked over at Alvaro and waved casually.
Alvaro blinked as Kana waved at him before raising a hand hesitantly and waving back, "Kana dear...Albel didn't do anything to you did he?" Alvaro asked softly, a hint of fear in his voice. What had happened to staying away from her? He quietly lighted a few candles that he had produced from seemingly thin air to light the room, he didn't feel much like moving to turn the lights on at the moment.
Kana shrugged a little. "Nope. We just sat in here and talked. He's actually a pretty interesting person to talk to!" she said happily. "I'm fine, Alvaro," she said as she nodded and stood up.

)sorry for the short-ness, being rushed( |
Alvaro frowned slightly, just for a moment before smiling brightly at Kana, "Then I suppose that is a good thing." He moved away from the corner to turn the lights on before putting out the candles and depositing them on a side table, "Did you two have a...nice conversation ?"
Kana shrugged a little. "We...talked...about you and your mother mostly. I'm sorry that happened to you, Alvaro, that's terrible." she said quietly, setting her hand on his for reassurance. "I'm always here to talk." she reminded him.
"I was not the only one to have to watch my mother die." Alvaro whispered, "But I will keep that in mind, love." He gave her another smile, before looking at the time, "Are you hungry Kana dear?"
Kana shrugged a little and sighed. "No...not really...a little. I suppose. Would you like to go get breakfast?" she asked politely.
"I can make you breakfast if you'd like." He opened the door to her room for her and held it open for her to pass through, "Taking you out for breakfast would not be a good idea. Dinner, maybe. Is there anything you would like in particular?"
Kana laughed a little. "For a girl with a little body I eat a lot...how about steak?" she asked quietly. "Why wouldn't--" She stopped herself. "Sunlight..." she said queitly.
Alvaro pretended not to hear her as he left the room, "Steak? For breakfast? I suppose if that is what you want..." he trailed off, wondering if there was any steak in the fridge and what the best way to prepare it would be. He stepped down the hall and then paused, grimacing slightly, "Kana dear, I trust you know the way to the kitchens? Can I meet you there? I have to go take care of some things first."
