Age: 18 Picture: http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...tterflies2.jpg Yumiko was walking happily down the sandy beach path. 'What a perfect day!' Yumik to thought merrily to herself. The girl was half skipping down the sand pathway to the beach, her towel was wrapped around her waist like a sarong and her usually tied up dark pink hair was down. It flowed in the wind like a million cherry blossom petals. She reached the bottom of the beach and sighed as the water washed over her foot. She let her towel fall on the white sandy beach and wadded her way through the shallow water to the deeper end. She took a dunk under the water to get used to the temperature. She came to the beach as much as possible, it was her favourite spot to be at night or day. Yumiko started to just swim around she would go under water sometimes and then come up gasping for air. She shuddered as she felt seaweed tickle her legs, she knew it was nothing but she imagined them to be like octopuses trying to grab her. |
Luchen swiftly hides himself under an outcropping of rocks when he sees the girl appear. His expression is suddenly quite sour. He never really did like people, and humans were worse to him. He keeps himself hidden away, knowing the only way the girl could find him if either she swam that far out, and he knew most didn't, or the rocks crumbled. He glowers at the girl from afar, willing her to leave.

Yumiko was lost in her own little world, ever since she was a little girl she wished she could be a mermaid. Her mother read the bed time stories about a Little Mermaid Ariel and Yumiko had been in love with the ocean since then. The mysterious that they held, the beautiful fishes and the sunken treasures they thrilled her beyond belief. When she was little many people had asked her what she had wanted to become and her answers always enlightening to the others, she had told people she wanted to become a mermaid or pirate.
Of course the grown ups had laughed at her, but at that time she had no idea why so she just giggled along with them. She took another quick dip under the water but this time she had her swimming goggles on so she could see. She opened her eyes though everything looked like a blur to her she could make out some colour, her curiosity got the better of her and she dove under to see what it was. |
Luchen sees her notice him and growls lowly. 'Lovely. It spotted me,' he thinks to himself, bitterly. Underwater, he's quite a sight. His blue-ish silver scales shimmer as his tail moves slowly. He backs himself against a rock, bristling. It looks like he might hurt her if she gets too close too fast. His teeth are bared and he's shaking.

Yumiko was following the shiny blue-silver scales underwater when she spotted a new kind of fish she had never seen before. It was a beautiful pastel rainbow colour she opened her mouth in amazement to gap at it before choking and closing her mouth. She saw for the surface and panicked when she didn't seem to get closer.
She made it after what seemed to take years of her life, she gasped and sputtered out water. "Good job Yumiko, you almost drowned yourself and no one would have even known what had happened to you." she muttered to herself, her legs getting tired from all the churning. |
Luchen watches her gape, smirking. 'Humans. Fail, so much,' he thinks to himself. When she looks like she's drowning he frowns, looking like he might try to save her, but she breaks the surface before he decides. He then dips himself behind the rocks, before she comes back under. He keeps his eyes visible, but nothing else. He still looks quite unhappy about her seeing him at all.
