"Jeans and stuff," Andy replied. "My jeans are about to wear through, and I think my boots have had it. We can look at all the different kinds of chocolate afterwards."
Belle nodded and headed in the appropriate direction, starting to look through the jeans they had out. She ended up pulling three pairs, trying them on first before paying for them and shoving them all in her bag. She'd change later if she really wanted to. Hell, maybe she'd even convert this pair of jeans into shorts or something.
Andy was taking a little longer, so she wandered around the store, looking at all the camping gear and supplies and things. She paused when she found a six-foot staff, a hiking stick technically, but she grinned and tested it out anyway before she bought it with an internal evil little cackle. |
Andy was taking a little longer, but she sometimes had issues finding jeans that fit right. Finally, she found some that did and immediately bought them before going to look for a new pair of hiking boots. Once she found a pair of those that she liked, she bought them, as well as a few pairs of new socks and a package of band-aids. Breaking in new boots was never fun. Then she went to look for Belle.
"...Did you really buy a stick to hit things with?" she asked when she found her friend. |
"Not just," Belle said with a grin. "It was 75% off on sale anyway." Her grin took on Cheshire Cat proportions.
"Besides, it might come in handy next month." |
Andy snickered.
"What, a Personal Space Stick or something?" she teased. "I can't wait to see if it works." |
"Yes, my personal space bubble stick." Belle grinned. "Or my 'you did something stupid, I will now whack you' stick. Either one."
Andy laughed.
"I may need to get one myself, if it works," she said. "Though Lucivar may just take it as a challenge." |
"Yeah, I wouldn't challenge Lucivar with a stick if I were you," Belle said. "He'd probably proceed to beat your ass into the ground showing you how to properly use it."
"I would say he knows better, but you're probably right," Andy replied. "And I can't even set Kaelas on him, because he outranks Kaelas."
"The only two that outrank him are Daemon and Saetan. That we have, anyway." Belle shrugged. "And I don't know how much help they'd be."
"Probably not much help at all," Andy replied. She grinned. "However, threatening to make him wear the hat, on the other hand..."
Belle grinned broadly. "I love my looms," she said. "It's just way too easy and too much fun."
"You're so mean," Andy replied, though she was grinning. "Poor Yas barely had any pride left after that stunt."
"He'll patch his ego," Belle said with a big grin. "He and Daemon can commiserate."
Then an idea hit her, and she almost cackled. Almost. Oh, she was going to have fun tonight... |
Andy watched as an idea blossomed across Belle's face.
"What are you planning?" she asked. "I know that look. That's your 'I'm plotting evil' look." |
"You'll see later tonight," Belle said with a big grin. "And I'm not telling you more. You'll see."
With that she headed for the chocolate. That would distract Andy, if nothing else. |
Andy sent Belle a slightly suspicious look before following her over to the chocolate. She immediately homed in on the salted chocolate, and followed that with caramel-filled chocolate and a couple of other kinds.
Belle picked out her own chocolate, getting some peanut butter cups and caramel-filled chocolate. She got a little more before going to pay, figuring that would be enough to last her for now.
Andy ended up with salted chocolate, caramel chocolate, and a bag of chocolate truffles to restock her stash. Once she'd chosen, she followed Belle up to pay.
"Oh yeah, did you want to look into getting a TV for the PD rooms so we don't have to wait to be in town to watch a movie?" Belle moved aside after she'd paid, looking at Andy. A store across the street had reminded her.
"Or do you think we've done enough damage for one day?" |
"I leave that one completely up to you," Andy replied. "I think I've injured my account enough for one day."
"Yeah, I think it's time to go battle people. Or, there's a new thing you can turn on with your dex, where you can have monsters pop up randomly as you travel. Your bishis get training, and you get money and sometimes items." Belle shrugged. "I think I might turn it on. Keep my boys from getting too complacent."
"If any Jhinka pop up, I'm blaming you," Andy said. "I think the app would just turn my group paranoid, and with Temmy and Li Li brooding like they are..." She shook her head. "Bad idea."
"Well, for you, bad idea," Belle agreed. "For me, stress relief. You should see Eclipse when he gets to blow things up. He's evil, man. And I know Lucifer doesn't mind using that pretty shiny sword on his belt. It's not just for decoration." She paused. "Well. Not quite, anyway."
"Wouldn't the program affect us both, since we're traveling together?" Andy pointed out. "Though I could just tell my group to ignore them all... Temmy and Li Li still won't be pleased with it, though."
