Belle just shrugged, as if to say 'your loss', before she settled down.
"Well, anyone have any genius ideas what to do now?" |
"You could always go searching for a Robin, if you want one," Andy replied. "He would just be WAY too high-maintenance for me."
"I'm not getting one. He'd be fun, maybe, but no. Niko and Cal, yeah, I could do that." Belle shrugged. She didn't feel like going after any bishis right now anyway.
Andy snickered.
"I'm sure we can track down a good place to find novelty tees," she said. "I used to know the best place, back on the outside... Comic shops are great like that." |
"Oh yes. Yes they are." Belle grinned.
"I know I passed a place in one of the big cities, about a year or so back. They would make and sell novelty tees like that. It was great." |
"Do you remember about where it was?" Andy asked. She grinned. "It would be worth going back."
"It would," Belle agreed. "And I'm pretty sure I remember. It was just past Dresden world, and there was a big city there. Guess because there was a whole section of popular 'verses there. Anyway, I think it was next to a sushi place."
"Even better," Andy replied, grinning. "I haven't come across a good sushi places in ages." She made a face. "Most of my group doesn't like sushi."
"Oh, I know," Belle groaned. "It's hard to find good sushi places, and when I do at least half of them groan and complain so I don't get any."
She paused for a moment. "I say we leave them in the hotel room and go get sushi ourselves next time we're in the city." |
"Deal," Andy replied immediately. "You and I will get sushi next time we come across a good place."
Belle grinned. "Sounds fair to me," she said.
"It's been so long since I've had proper sushi..." Andy said. "Tuna, snapper, salmon, eel... Now I'm looking forward to it."
"I know. Too bad neither of us knows how to make sushi, or which cut to use. There's tons of fish around." Belle sighed regretfully.
"I bet you could research it," Andy replied. "There has to be something out there that'll have the information."
"Yes, but there is a big difference between having the information and doing it yourself," Belle pointed out. "It's a bit different than, say, making a bee hive."
Andy shrugged.
"At least the research would be a starting point," she replied. "I know I'm not one of those people who would be good at making sushi. I'm more likely to cut off my own fingers." |
"Yeah, no, we don't want that," Belle said with a snort.
"You might do that, too," Eclipse said. "So perhaps just researching would be good for now." "Yeah, maybe," Belle had to agree. |
"You know it's possible," Andy pointed out, snickering slightly. "I'm not good with sharp objects." She leaned back. "Anyways, now we have our plans for the next time we're in a city."
"Yes, yes we do." Belle grinned. "And it's a bloody good plan, too."
"Yes it is," Andy agreed, grinning. "So, what do we want to do now? I don't think I have anything else to read at the moment..." She trailed off, thinking. "Though I could go back and reread a few things." She grinned and glanced over at where Daemon and Lucivar were sitting and talking. "There are just some things that they can never live down, and I know I'm never going to forget them."
Belle grinned broadly. "Oh I know the feeling," she said. "I have things like that for... just about everyone. Like Eclipse in an apron." She couldn't help but snicker at the memory. That had been a good one.
Andy snickered.
"The mouse in the glass dome," she said. "And the Winsol presents. The Black-locked present. It just goes on." She grinned. "I'm sure there are a few other moments from earlier books that I'm overlooking at the moment, but still." |
Belle grinned. "Oh yes," she agreed. "I think one of my favorites was when Lucivar had his own eyrie, before he met Marian." She couldn't help but grin.
"You mean the incident with Helene and the other women?" Andy asked, grinning. "There's that, there's... Let's see... Oh! The first time Jaenelle went out shopping and came back with good romance novels that Saetan ended up borrowing, WAY back in Heir to the Shadows. When Prothvar took her shopping." She grinned.
"Oh yes, I remember that." Belle grinned broadly. "I bet you we could find a romance novel and give it to him and he'd read it."
