"Just coming to see what you were up to," Andy replied, plopping down next to her friend. "And to see how many things we have in common on our shopping lists."
"Probably quite a few." Belle grinned briefly and handed over her shopping list. She had shirts and jeans to get, nonperishables, and since she'd gotten the giant freezer she figured she might as well pick up some frozen meat for them too. And she wanted to add to her spice pantry while they were in town. So she had a few more things to get than Andy.
Andy glanced at Belle's list.
"I thought you still had like half a cow in your freezer," she commented. "And like six fish besides. Do you really need anything else for it?" |
"I probably don't need anything yet but I want to look around anyway. You never know, I might decide to get chicken so we have something normal to eat when we get sick of beef and venison." Belle grinned briefly. "Besides, we've got more mouths to feed now."
"This is true," Andy mused. She paused for a moment, then grinned. "Should we head out, then? I want to see how many shinies we see while we're out and about. I still say there will be epic sparkles."
Belle snickered. "Sure. I kind of want to take Ezio and Mouse, just to see how many people go "WTF" and how many people know." She grinned, stuffing her list in her pocket.
Andy grinned.
"Do it," she said. "That will be amazing." |
Belle grinned and looked at the aforementioned bishis. "You two want to come shopping with us?"
Mouse just chuffed and walked over to her, looking at Andy rather hopefully. He was fond of her Dresden, after all. Ezio looked thoughtful. "Shopping?" "Yeah. Getting supplies, mostly. I figured while we're out I can get some new clothes for you and Nik, maybe go look in a weapons shop." That got Ezio's attention. "Si, bella. I will accompany you." Belle grinned at Andy. "See? You just need to know how to bribe them." |
Andy snorted.
"Uh huh," she said. She waved a hand. "Take Harry with you, Mouse is trying to give me the Eyes and I don't want to deal with saying no." |
Belle snorted. "You coming or do you want me to do some shopping for the both of us?" Which she wouldn't mind doing. Especially not if she had pack mules--I mean males.
"I'll go, sure," Andy replied. "I wasn't going to make you buy my things for me. But I figure if we end up splitting up, you can take Harry with you. Elsewise we may never see the end of it from Mouse." She grinned. "And I bet if you did it just right, Kaelas or Dejaal could translate for him. Because that would be epic."
"Oh that would be epic." Belle grinned. "Well, I'm ready to go whenever." She put her tennis shoes back on, since those were more comfortable for going around town than boots (plus her boots needed to be cleaned desperately before she wore them again).
Andy had dug out a plain pair of flip-flops from the bottom of her bag (for those times when they camped out on a beach or something similar) and had already slipped them on. They were good enough for walking around a town in, and she could wear them until she was able to chisel the mud and dirt off of her boots.
"Ready when you are," she said as she picked up her gear again and slipped her belt on. |
Belle nodded and headed out, shutting the door behind her after Ezio, Eclipse, and Mouse had all trooped out after her. She was sure Teaser and Thomas were still having fun down at the laundromat, and she didn't need to check in on them yet. So she headed for the shops first.
Andy gathered a few of her group, namely Harry and Sesshoumaru, and followed Belle's posse out the door. It was a nice day out, and she made a mental note to let her dragons go flying a little later. They'd been mostly cooped up for a while, so they deserved it.
Belle led the group over to the supply store first, since she figured they might as well get the supplies. And then they could go off and get clothes, and then go look at stuff for the boys.
Andy followed, since she had to get most of the same things as Belle. She did take a stop by the bestseller aisle, just to make sure she wasn't missing anything she needed, and then continued on her way.
Belle picked up all the supplies she'd need and paid before handing off the bags to Ezio, who took them with a tolerant smile. Hey, it wasn't so bad, he reasoned.
Andy ended up stashing her own purchases in an empty storage capsule for the time being. She didn't make Sess carry her things, usually, and Harry would whine about it, she was sure. Best just to avoid that mess.
Belle waited until they were at the clothes store to let Ezio put the bags in a PD capsul, and then she sent him off to find extra clothes. So she could do her own shopping without him commenting or judging or anything.
Andy had already disappeared into the racks, looking for some replacement jeans and a couple of new shirts. She snickered when she found a couple of good snarky ones, and made sure to grab them. One couldn't have enough of those.
Belle found some good hiking shirts, a few pairs of guys' gym shorts (which made excellent sleep and workout shorts), and regular t-shirts and jeans. She found one t-shirt with Captain America's shield on it, which she loved, and was quick to snag it. Hey, Captain America was kinda awesome.
Once Andy had what she needed, she went back over to Belle.
"What did you find?" she asked. |
Belle grinned and held up the Captain America shirt and the Thor shirt. "Yay fandom shirts!" She grinned. "I can probably find more, too."
Andy snorted.
"That's probably one of the most epic franchises ever made," she commented. "The Avengers movie should be absolutely amazing." |
