Belle smiled. "Hopefully it'll taste that good, since I didn't have any herbs or anything." She got a plate for herself last, eating quietly.
Eclipse chuckled quietly and sat down next to her, alternately looking out to sea or playing with the ends of Belle's hair. |
Andy sat with Sess, eating quietly. A quiet evening was oddly appealing, after everything that happened.
"All we need now are marshmallows," she commented after a moment. "I haven't had roasted marshmallows in ages..." |
"I knew there was something I missed!" Belle grumbled. "I didn't get any marshmallows!"
"Next time," Eclipse murmured to her, rubbing her shoulder. Belle pouted but nodded, going quiet again. |
"I'll remind you if you'll remind me," Andy said. "We won't forget next time."
|
"Sounds like a plan." Belle settled in where she was, looking out at the sea. "I like it here."
|
"I do, too," Andy said. "It's quiet. Calming, sort of."
|
"Not to mention there are dolphins and things playing out in the waves," Belle said with a grin. "Dammit, now I really wanna visit SeaWorld."
Seth laughed a little at that. |
"Those dolphins are probably long gone, with the dragons out there," Andy said. "Speaking of, they should be coming in soon."
|
Belle nodded. "Yup. That way they'll get some sun to help dry them off." She stretched and got to her feet, gathering up plates. "Who am I going to volunteer for dish duty tonight?"
"Him." Thomas and Lucifer simultaneously pointed at each other. "Both of you? Excellent! Hop to it." Belle grinned evilly. |
"Impressive," Andy said, grinning.
"I will help them," Lawrence said, standing. "Thanks, Lawrence," Andy said, handing him her plate when he came to collect it. |
Belle grinned. "Thanks, guys!" She went back over and plopped down next to Eclipse again, pleased with her results.
"I think if you offer them treats you could train them as you would a puppy," Eclipse murmured to her, a faint smile twitching at his lips. Belle had to stifle her laughter. |
Sess pulled Andy into his lap gently, holding her close to him. Andy relaxed as he started rubbing her shoulders a little. She always enjoyed it when he gave her a massage.
|
Belle smiled and relaxed, leaning back on her arms and looking out at the waves as the sun started to set, staining them and the sky gold, rosy red, and dusky purple. "Bet there are lots of stars out here," she said, her voice soft.
|
"Yeah," Andy agreed. "This far out, I bet we could see a ton of them."
|
"That will be nice." Belle smiled and stayed there, watching the sun set. "I guess we should set up camp soon. Unless someone has some good scary stories to tell."
|
"What, you mean about like the ghost I saw in my room when I was fifteen?" Andy joked. She shook her head. "I'm no good at scary stories. Not all that into horror."
|
"Well, I could tell you about the time my dad decided to shave all the hair off his chest, but that might be too emotionally scarring." Seth grinned.
"Ew." |
"Seth, that's just wrong," Andy said.
|
"I know," Seth said with a grin. "But I just had to share. I mean, scary stories, right?"
"That's not scary, that's just scarring." Belle shivered. |
"I make a motion that Seth isn't allowed to share 'scary' stories anymore," Andy said, half-joking.
|
"I agree," Belle said with a grin. "Seth, we're voting you off the island."
"But we're not on an island and this is not Survivor!" "Well, too bad. You've been voted off anyway." |
"You are the Weakest Link. Goodbye," Andy teased, giggling. "Sorry. Couldn't resist."
|
Seth pouted a little. "Well that's not very nice," he grumbled.
"Okay, you can stay. But no more horror or quasi-horror stories." Belle grinned. "Done deal." |
"So now what?" Andy asked. "Just setting up camp?"
|
"I guess so," Belle said with a little shrug. "Unless someone else can think of something to do."
"Well, there's always skinny dipping," Seth said after a moment of silence. "In the ocean? Hell no." |
