Belle grinned. "There are lots of much better movies out there."
"Case and point, our mini-marathon," Andy gestured to the TV.
"Very true." Belle grinned. "So do we want to put on another Johnny Depp movie after this?"
"Anything but Sweeny Todd," Andy said. "That movie freaked me out. I'm not really into gore."
"Well, guess I'm not watching some of my movies with you," Belle said. "Good to know before I turn them on. How about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?"
"Ugh, you're one of those," Andy groaned. "I used to know some people who were really into gore... Nearly made me hurl a few times before I learned my lesson." She nodded at the movie suggestion. "Remake it is. I'm not sure whether I like the original better or the remake, but either way, it's a good movie."
"True. And I do not watch gory movies all the time, it just doesn't bother me. And I don't do anything too gory, I always watch things with a plot. Never gore for the sake of gore."
"I made the mistake of watching Sweeny Todd, but only once," Andy said. "It was interesting, until I realized he was slitting throats every minute or so, but I wanted to see the rest of the movie so I just covered my eyes whenever someone ended up bleeding in the chair."
"I loved that movie. I've always wanted to get my hands on the soundtrack from a Broadway version of it with Angela Lansbury." Belle sighed. "I haven't found it yet."
"Not my thing, sorry," Andy replied. "People-pies, not so hot. I've made sure never to watch that movie again."
"Your loss." Belle smiled.
"Not really," Andy said. She shrugged. "Maybe Seth would want to watch it, though. Where is he, anyways? He kind of vanished as soon as we got here."
"Um, he's in his room. I'll go get him." Belle got to her feet and went next door to Seth's room, dragging him back in to watch movies with them. Then she changed movies and settled down again with Eclipse.
Andy stayed snuggled next to Sess. If Belle was going to put in Sweeny Todd, she wanted to be ready to turn away if she had to.
"Hmm... I'm not going to make you sit through Sweeney Todd, so what else can I get you to watch? How about Nightmare Before Christmas?" Belle grinned.
Seth rolled his eyes at them but settled down on the floor, getting comfortable. |
"That's always a good movie," Andy said. She grinned. "Yes, Seth, you have to be sociable now."
Seth rolled his eyes and watched as the movie started. "I was reading," he grumbled.
"Read later. Socialize now." Belle grinned. |
"I feel your pain," Andy said. "Really, I do. But right now, you get to socialize."
Seth sighed but settled in to watch the movie, shaking his head a little when Belle started humming.
Andy started humming a little, too, though she made sure to be quiet about it.
Belle hummed with the songs, smiling to herself and enjoying the movie. Seth even enjoyed the movie.
"I used to watch this movie every year when it was on TV," Andy commented. "It's the only movie they can play twice a year and be justified in doing so."
"I know, right? But it's a great movie. I watch it whenever I feel like it." Belle grinned.
"This, and The Corpse Bride," Andy agreed. "I love that movie... And I always end up feeling so bad for Emily when she dissolves at the end."
"I know. It was so... bittersweet." Belle smiled a little.
"And so sappy." Seth wrinkled his nose. |
