I've been wanting to set up some kind of contest in Avatar Chat for a long time now, but haven't been able to come up with any good ideas. Just the other day, I came up with this thread idea, and I hope that you all will feel inspired enough to participate on a regular basis. :D I really enjoy the weekly contests in this forum, and I think that by adding yet another, we can get more activity here in the forum. :yes: And so, here goes nothing! |
Each week, I'll choose an image for you to base your outfit on. You can do anything you'd like with your avatar, but it must somehow be representative of that image. :yes: Please be sure that your avatar makes an OBVIOUS connection to the image chosen, otherwise I'll have to skip past your avatar when judging. I love seeing creativity in avatars, but sometimes I may not know what you're going for, so you can also include some text in your entry to explain why you created the avatar you did. :yes: And I know you've been waiting for it: The prize! The winner each week will receive 1,000g. :D We also have some extra prizes, thanks to lovely Lance: Iridescent Jelly Squid Hats! One. You may only enter once per week. Entries are due every every Friday at noon CST. Two. You may enter on your main OR mule, but not both. Please do not try to enter on both accounts, as I will know and you will be disqualified from that round. Three. You may use any resources you have to make your outfit. This includes your inventory, the MAC or the DAC. :yes: Four. Fill out all sections of the form correctly. If you do not, your entry will be disqualified. Five. Post the form in the thread to enter. Six. Please upload your entries to tinypic, imageshack or imgur. I will not add your entry to the contestants post unless it is hosted on either one of these sites. Seven. Do not bring drama into my thread! This includes whiny crybabyness if you didn't win, as well as general jackassery. Also, don't be stupid. Eight. Do not argue with me about who I choose as a winner. The winners for this particular contest are solely my choice. :yes: I will do my best to explain why I chose the winner, although sometimes I have to say, I choose people based on a feeling I get when I see the avatar. :D Nine. Be nice to everyone! I certainly welcome avatar critiques, and I'm sure others who frequent this thread do as well. So put on your best constructive criticism hat when you do give crit. If you can't say/post something nicely, don't say/post it at all. :D Ten. Each week there must be at least THREE entries in order for prizes to be awarded. If not enough people enter, it is likely that a small participation/consolation prize will be awarded to those who did participate. |

Do we have to upload to tinypic or imageshack? Why don't you allow Photobucket? I want you to upload to tinypic, imageshack or imgur so that there is no chance of you deleting your image from your photobucket account. :yes: I don't want broken image links on my front page, and I don't want to attempt to judge entries with broken image links. :yes: Make sense? Good. :) |

The thing with PB is that you could delete an image and it'd no longer be saved for Sizzla to view. *shrugs*

Sure. As long as it's a site that can't be deleted from, you're all good. I'd rather not have to keep up with a ton of sites that do that though... :sweat: I'll add imgur to my list.
