I just had an idea we might think about.
We currently have 10 people who want to be hosts. What do you think about getting some people to be "offical guests"? They would be on the team but wouldn't really run anything. Like the hosts they could enter any contest they don't judge. Their job would be to go around the thread and chat like they normally would, but they would also help explain the event/threads to people, control the crowd, maybe even help judge some contests. They would dress up for the part (maybe in the general colors of white, red, black as waiters, etc) and it would be even cooler if they stayed in character. What do you think? |

I think that'd be a cute idea :)
That way we'd have people there to explain any questions and people would have "immediate" answers even though the hosts wouldn't be around. Perhaps one or two per thread? |

I will add it on the front. I guess they would kind of be like the NPCs Keyori. That actually isn't a bad idea. If by the time the event rolls around and we have lots of stuff we could give them some stuff too. |
I am not backing out on hosting but I would like to ask if maybe someone wants to Co-host, or if I could steal one of the helpers to help me with a few hours of the first few days.
Also how long is the event? |
We can of course find you a co-host or have a helper assigned to your thread.

You can if you want to. Some people like to have everything planned out in advance.
Then if you have to quit if you want the game can be passed on to another. Or you can be like me and wait till the last week before the event begins. lol Though I always have the idea and how the game will be run before. Just none of the maps or visual aids. And sorry I haven't checked in here for awhile. Got a new job and I've been running crazy. I hate training at a new job. |

I still need to think up a game... but I'm to tired right now.
I can't wait till I'm through with training and they don't have me jumping around in the shifts any more. Working at a gas station for 8 hours (even if the entire time I have to stand and never get a break) really isn't that bad but it really stinks when they have me jumping shifts everyday. I should be better next week though. And since I have a job now that means I can start buying CIs for the event. ^^ How do you think I should do that? By one set for prizes and one set to sell for gold to buy other prizes or get two sets for prizes? |

Lilith just so you know I've decided I want to host Texas Hold 'Em instead of a slots type game.
I also think it would be good to keep one set as a prize and sale/trade the other set for different prizes/gold. Oh and would you be interested in a Iridescent Jelly Squid to have as a prize? |

Easy enough right ^.^ The teams are: Front Desk Housekeeping Kitchen Crew I guess the most basic of tasks is the DAILY WORK: Rules of Daily Work: 1) The daily tasks will ALWAYS be the same everyday without variation. 2) The same person Can not do the same task twice. (Everyday you must do something different. Depending on the teams I MAY change this rule.) 3) You must complete all the daily tasks before you can do either the Prep tasks or the BIG DAY tasks. 4) In the beginning each person can only do one task, at 1 o’clock I will announce the tasks that are incomplete and allow you to take on a second task. At 4 o’clock if your tasks are STILL not done I will announce the tasks that need doing and you will be allowed to take as many as needed to finish. BIG DAY- THAT DAY IS FINALLY HERE! Now make it count! Rules for Big Day: 1) each team must complete there team project first. After this they can compete to finish the other tasks. 2) the first team to finish a non-team task gets 200 points, the second team to finish gets 100 points and the third team gets 50 points. So work fast! 3) at least 3 members of your team must have contributed to you task(both the team tasks, and the everyone tasks) to make it count. |
I would advise against having the Daily Tasks be the same for the entire game; this takes out the element of surprise and challenge, and people could just prepare their tasks before-hand or something. 8) Part of the game is making the players sweat! >8D
