That's a pretty loaded question actually, because for one reason from the first installment of the series all the way to the thirteenth one, they cover a wide genre of time eras. Starting with traditional fantasy all the way up to even some science fiction mixed in with fantasy in Final Fantasy Thirteen.

I really like Final Fantasy One, Two, and Four--- A lot. Three has just been very difficult but I will finish it. Five was just boring for some reason as you only got to play as five different characters.

Six was where the science and technology started coming in which was really interesting. Something really enduring about part six and Kefka's laugh lol!!

Final Fantasy Seven was just a game on it's own and really brought in shit loads of people by the masses. I personally loved it and wished they would remake if for the play station three!! (Which I think they will at some point, Final Fantasy Thirteen did not do as well as they had hoped.)

Part Eight was liong and was kind of an acquired taste. I liked Squall but I think I liked the story with Laguna more. It was just drawn out and I didn't like how you had to draw spells. I thought that really sucked.

Part nine was a return to tradition somewhat and was refreshing but the story line towards the end fell a little short. It wasn't cool to me, it was just weird. Zidane should have had something a bit more special about him other than being a droid of some sort.

Part Ten I never finished because I hated the grid leveling system therefore never finished. I just don't like it at all.

Eleven being online, was kind of fun but I'm not paying for a monthly subscription.

Twelve was much better in my opinion however the battlesystem could have been a bit better worked out and should have been in real time if they were going to do it that way. Kind of copied Star Ocean for twelve and thirteen which I have not played yet only watched. Eventually I will get a copy when it becomes cheaper.

Overall My favorites are One, Four, Six, and Seven.

Thirteen looks awesome, but I havent gotten the chance to play it yet. So far twelve is my favorite. I think the story is complex without being to confusing and I think it involves a lot of decision making on the players part. I liked that Vayne was not really a bad guy, he was just looking out for his country, I think that it was sort of up to the player to think if he was good or bad. I really enjoy the other games, but I think they tell a way more straightforward approach to the story.

I enjoyed the battle system in FF12. I thought it was interesting and I could both think through what I was doing, but not feel stressed because of the gambits.

Also the characters were my favorite so far. I think they were more dynamic than others before (FF8's more somber characters or FF10's ecstatic ones). They had a bit of both, and I think they all resembled people you might actually meet.

Which is best for the final fantasy's is just a round robin, so I don't usually like to get into these..

My most commonly played would be Tactics, III, and XII. I think they are the best 'rounded' games I've played out of the series for story, fun, game play, etc. They are all so in three different corners of the final fantasy ring too..

Oh and I played the shit out of Chocobo Tales, that game was freaking fun. Yay for spin offs!

I actually like Final Fantasy Tactics quite a bit. I think Ramza was an awesome character. I hate how Delita ended up becoming just as corrupt after he finally came into power. In the end, Delita became just like the nobility which he had hated so much which had caused him to lose his sister Teta. The game was so sad. I think I really admired Ramza for really having full humility throughout the entire story and he sticking with his sister Alma. I knew the story would be twisted when I first played it because the story was about the unknown hero that never got credit for everything that happened. I think the ending was full of poetic justice in the end. Delita marrying (Ovelia) who really was not Ovelia in the beginning anyways and she killed Delita for using Ramza and she was killed. So in the end Delita got what he totally deserved! I really like how you can create and get so many different classes!! My favorites are the bard and the dancer.

7 because, yeah, it's a standalone game. SquareEnix totally franchised it. I'd definitely love to go back to play through the story again.

8 is all right but I thought the graphics were pretty. This was pretty fun, though.

4 because it's actually fun to port around (although I haven't finished this one yet, it's pretty decent).

Kole: FFTactics was the first FF game I bought...I CAN'T PLAY IT TO SAVE MY LIFE!

Yea, I liked Final Fantasy four and seven, eight not so much because I hated having to draw spells out of monsters.... to me it was just retarded lol. I liked the whole idea with materia or just flat out learning the spells period.

Why can't you play Final Fantasy Tactics? Did you just not have enough patience? It requires a bit of patience to play that one as it is difficult to play. Talking about it makes me want to play it actually.

Yeah, I'm terrible at Tactics. I still have it on my shelf and haven't touched the darn thing since 2005 I think. No really though I keep dying and I am seriously not a very patient person. Friend of mine finished his copy on PSP though so I was like wtf?

I popped in FF7 a couple of days ago. Not a smart idea as I spent my time around Gold Saucer and since I was very sick at the time, I fell asleep within an hour. Seriously though I have no idea where I left off and where I'm supposed to go next.

BTW I just realized what your username is XD Niiiice.

I like the first half of the game but the other half to me was at least I don't think written as well and was not really all that interesting. I think Zidane's origin should have been a bit better thought of. I think Zidane should have been from a different planet perhaps or something, not some created doll or whatever it was.
